There are some good Riderfans, however there are also too many bandwagon jumpers who turned green in 2007. 2.5 years of bad football? Cry me a river. I've had to live through Reinbold, Daley, Kelly and Mack.4 points -
Part of me wants to just adopt the same approach they do over there. They always throw out the "if we acted like this on your forum, we would've been gone long ago" nonsense. Then I look at how we still allow folks like Kluch to continue posting and think ... boy, are they really that unaware? As much as I like Gov and I can't even blame him for "allowing it", what was formerly a pretty good place to talk about football has fallen by the wayside and become overrun by idiots like Rotor and his little puppet RAJ. So many characters on that forum, it's essentially become a cesspool of inbred children's toys with only four programmable phrases that can be spit out at a time: "#1990!", "Mulberry bush", "Keep 'em comin, Jonesy!" and "hey, hands off my sister, she's mine!"4 points

I've lurked on Riderfans in the past, but really, who gives a flying frack? That's their business, whether they stand or fall as a fan forum. My experience says that if the nuts take over the forum, the sane people leave, and eventually the forum implodes and shuts down. That said, let us show a decent level of respect to visiting CFL fans, so long as they reciprocate. That doesn't mean we will stop insulting them in good measure. Full disclosure: I lived in Regina for 5 years, and met a lot of good people who were only distantly related to each other, and only a few had vestigial tails and more than 5 digits on each hand or foot.3 points

I think there's a ton of stuff that goes on at practice, in the locker room...even stuff that shows up on game film that we don't see, which contributes to the guy coaches want to keep around. I agree that Bass is younger and likely healthier, and all things being equal, he seems like the logical choice. Having said that, there's clearly a lot more to it...a lot more going on....that made the coaches/management decide to keep Wild.2 points

Ya, without question it was this moment, solely, that cost Bass his job. MOS saw this and said "ZOMG JORB FOR LIFE!!11!"2 points

Meh I'm done posting over there. between the mods acting like assclowns banning any criticism by non-rider fans and the jonestown circle jerkers sippin on pink drinks and high fiving each other for mediocrity and league wide ridicule, not worth the time and effort anymore. Tho I will pop in every now and then to watch them self implode with every loss and circus move Jones makes. Green tears taste like unicorn farts2 points -

I don't know why people think just because someone is "x" height and "y" weight, they're suddenly capable of playing a different position that requires an entirely different skill set and responsibility level. It confuses me, because it seems like people only do this with defensive players as if that makes it make more sense. Let's try it with some other examples. "If Chris Normand could put on 10 pounds, he's pretty fast, he could probably play DE!" "Ian Wild is the same size as Andrew Harris, just a little taller, maybe he could play RB as a backup" "Addison Richards has all the measurables, maybe he'd make a good receiver!"2 points

Might be off topic, but I ventured over there out of nostalgia tonight. Apparently there is one dude in there named Bennie Thompson that uses the forum as some sort of bizarre echo chamber. I think roadgriller is in on the joke, but one can never be sure. For someone like me that followed Colin (Mookie) from TotalCFL, it is a bit sad to see Ourbombers on its deathbed. Sorry...the recent influx of 90's bands touring the city has got me on a nostalgia kick. On topic...hmmm...Chris Jones is a dingus!1 point -

lol you know it. I'm not trying to say it was that moment exactly, but I think moments like that stand out for a coach, IE: playing whistle to whistle even with the game done and season over. I do believe Osh views Wild as the better WIL and tried Bass out in the middle last year just to make use out of the asset, but it wasn't good enough1 point -

I saw the post and was confused because I thought it was the Liberals making the motion. So I looked into it and read all the backstory of what had led to the moment described in your post. I concluded that it was all ridiculous (on both sides) and an absolute waste of time so I didn't bother to reply. Creating a new "-phobia" is just the latest trend by people in power to shut down discussion.1 point

First things first, love the analysis Derek Taylor is doing. Not sure how he gets his numbers, if he has a single source, if he's going over the tape from every game played last year or teams are providing him with this, but no matter. It's great. Second, using those numbers at face value (which oddly enough weren't always whole numbers when the math was done, maybe some borderline passes were counted as half interceptable?) and calculating through, this would be the 2016 percentage of interceptable balls per total passes thrown: Cato - 7.7% Masoli - 5.4% Burris - 4.9% Ray - 4.5% Jennings - 4.3% Willy - 4.2% Glenn - 4.1% Nichols - 3.6% Durant - 3.4% Collaros - 3.2% Mitchell - 2.5% Reilly - 2.2% Harris - 2.1% Apologies for the lack of fancy colours and formatting. So Cato is both the luckiest and the worst.1 point
