Some are saying the missile strike was a PR sham. The fact that the base has planes taking off after the air strike would seem to indicate they didn't do the greatest job putting the base out of commission.

Apparently Trump owns stock in the company that makes Tomahawk missiles. They used $90m worth in the air strikes that destroyed nothing and those missiles will now have to be replaced.

PR sham is hard not to think. Especially considering Trump denounced Obama for threatening this exact same thing. And when Obama went to congress, 100 Republicans that refused to give him authority for military action now support Trump. Its all politics. Again, I've said this before, people who identify with a party and will blindly support the words and deeds and representatives of that party no matter what, are clueless. Anyway...you have people saying 'now Trump is President" since he launched a strike. Its all a sham. People saying "see, he went against Russia so that means there was no collusion". He WARNED Russia of the airstrike ahead of time (after lambasting Obama for a policy of providing lead time before strikes) and they obviously warned Syria. And the strike did little to no damage. So what was the point? I think we know.

With all their anti-bullying campaigns, I just don't see how they can keep JBL around these days. Then again, VKM has never been afraid to be a hypocrite.

Id assume they will use un-used footage for 9. Which likely indicates a smaller role in the final film. I'm not sure why anyone would think using cgi would be in bad taste to be honest.

yeah the timing is whats really crazy. weve seen situations like that before from jones and the riders back to the Don in MTL. I'd be interested in how many of the 50 beds for mental health services added to Victoria hospital are just re-allocated beds. Sad that mental health issues weren't given more attention considering how ill-equipped hospitals, especially ERs, are to treat mental health issues and yet they see so many. I know I'm biased, but I think addressing mental health-related visits would go a long way to improving services overall.

Sean Fleming Let's be clear, this move was strictly all about Rhodes' ego and the negotiations to extend Ed's contract which were initiated by the organization. - Ed was looking to be paid market rate for GMs in the league, which is a reasonable ask, given his success and how he handled the staff exodus last season. Rhodes took issue with that since it would mean Ed would be making more than Rhodes, a point he raised with Ed. - Ed was looking for a bump up in title to President of Football Operations. That didn't sit well with Rhodes. - Rhodes didn't like the fact that Terry Jones was publically calling Rhodes weak by stating that football ops was running the show in Edmonton and across the league. In the meantime, attendance continues to drop under Rhodes' leadership on the business side. This coming from a guy who brought you the concert series with Vanilla Ice as a way to increase attendance. To blame that on Ed when he is putting a winning product on the field is an attempt to pass the buck. All the rest of the excuses Rhodes is trying to peddle is just an attempt to backfill. Why entering into negotiations to extend if you have been looking to replace him since January? A total contradiction.
