  1. Also if you are bringing your kid to the games... please, for the love of all that is decent and good... don't dress him in green!

  2. Hey everyone, thanks for the suggestions. Was at Fanfest this morning and picked up a couple season tickets in section 202 row 5. Noeller is right, not a bad seat in that joint. A huge thanks to Blair for taking the time today to show me the seats!

  3. Can't friggin wait for summer holidays. We'll be around for the July 1 game @Gappers and at the home opener on the 7th vs Cgy. Haven't been at a home opener since 2007 so it'll be a dandy!

    CFL Draft

Agreed. We use 1 and he's our 5th option. It amazes me when I read things ppl say about JFG for example. Awesome at times invisible at other times... the life of the 5th option maybe 6th if you include the Running Back

Nope.... Its just not how things are done anymore. Read Walters interview from frim other day. The days of an elite 1k NI Rec are long gone...

  6. I feel like its been the same people on the radio in Winnipeg since I was a kid. Honestly been listening to guys like Wheeler, Philly, Ace Burpee, Tom and Joe, Howard Mandshein, and so many other names since I was a teenager. I wonder if Kelly Parker and Brian Cook are still out there too. Beau, Tom and Frazier. Man.

  7. I have had 4 major reconstructive foot surgeries due to arthritis on both my feet since 2012. I also have arthritis in both knees & will need both my knees replaced. Some of it is due to injuries I received years ago (knees) but my feet were always fine until a decade ago when I began to suffer horrible pain & my feet actually began to deform & become crooked. Walking becamse painful. Every step excruciating. Arthritis like this runs in my family. My father had the same problems I've had with his feet yet my brother's feet are fine so it's the luck of the draw. In the US, because I have pre existing conditions I would not have coverage for any surgery relating to my feet & knees. I also had a bone infection after my last foot surgery in July 2015 & was off work for 18 months because of it. The surgeries & complications as well as ongoing treatment due to infection would have cost me hundreds of thousands of dollars in the US. I probably would have lost my left leg because of the infection. Or perhaps even died. Yet, for all the care I received, after I left the hospital as well as the infectious disease centre I paid no bills. I didn't have to sell my car, house or go into bankruptcy to be treated. The Americans can have their private co-pay health care system... Phooey.

The Republican Congress killed Obamacare. Not because it was the best thing for Americans but because it didn't serve private insurers well. American politicians don't care about the constituents they claim to serve. But they do care about who funds their campaigns. Or they'd have gone to a universal one payer health care system like ours decades ago. Now insurers can charge older Americans more & insure less people, especially those with pre existing conditions. A very dark day for a lot of Americans. We should be thankful for our Canadian health care system. Warts & all,

  9. Hey, I'm new to the forum and just moved back to MB after being out of province for ten years. Getting season seats this year and curious where you think the best value is for a season seat?

  10. http://www.bluebombers.com/2017/05/06/winnipeg-football-club-looks-bringing-professional-soccer-manitoba/ Interesting. If affordable for an entire family I think it would work as there are tons of soccer fans in this city.

Just for fun on the healthcare question, what if we adopted a mixed private/public system ala Australia/UK/France/Germany etc?

From what Edwards and Baumming are posting, looks like Etakitie with the #1 tomorrow.

Unavailable because he signed with the NFL. BPL I think.... best player left.

Why? When you can play Canadians elsewhere now. They aren't just OL and receivers anymore

    CFL Draft

He's a 330 pound nose tackle...a position that doesn't exist in the CFL, he's a priority UDFA and he apparently doesn't have much interest in the CFL.

    CFL Draft

Walters has found a starter in all his drafts. I seriously trust his #1 will be right. By starters impact starters Goosen Chung Loffler are one of the best core of young Canadian talent in the league.

Only if Laing signs a multi year deal. Not these 1 year deals where he leaves to try the NFL. And fails.

    CFL Draft

If Ekakitie is our best option I'd trade the pick. We need someone who can play DL this year, but I just don't like the value. I think there are better options later on who are similar value and ultimately will be cheaper too.

I can't forsee us doing what the Riders did last year with their first overall pick. Walters isn't as nuts as the guys in Saskatchewan.

I heard Jade Etienne's slimmer cousin is in the draft. Maybe we should take him instead of Gray?

Maybe negotiating with Ekakitie's agent is just a clever ruse to throw everyone's draft boards off.

  28. So I guess Lawless will have to learn the Vegas expansion draft rules now cuz listening to H and L... he had no clue. His CFL reporting will be missed. His NHL reporting? Not as much as despite the fact that someone tends to pretty much die on the hill for Lawless his lack of knowledge was quite apparent at times and for a guy whose Job was to actually know sports... he had very little clue actually. Will I miss him? Nope. I'll barely notice he's gone because in this day and age.... radio and print media are going the way of the dodo and so was Gary Lawless and like Ed Tait who was missed more... he realizes it's going away also.

    Best value for season seats

Nice username. Have to agree with Bigblue. If you can get in that "overhang" in the upper deck, anywhere between the 25's, you're in great seats.
