    CFL Draft

If not Ekakitie. Then who? I for one don't want to waste a #1 draft pick on the possibility that the player doesn't stick around in the NFL for 5 - 6 years. How many times on this site did posters say that Mulumba or Bilukidi will be in Blue & Gold next season? Still waiting and Bilukidi has retired. I don't want to play that waiting game. Ekakitie may not be a sexy pick but its the smart pick and I believe will pay off for many years to come. Football's back and I for one couldn't be happier.

    CFL Draft

Quoted for truth. It's been nice having some Canadian teams in the NHL playoffs to distract us for a while but god damn is it great to have the CFL coming back right away.

I would take Judge too. There are enough good DT's in this draft that we could still fill that need.

    CFL Draft

I want to live in a world where on November 3rd., I'm watching the game against Calgary and be secure in the knowledge that the Stamps will have to go to the pass because they know in advance that Messam will not be able to run against our Dline.

There is a weird bug with chat right now where it is giving errors for people trying to sign up as new Members. Until that gets fixed, I've been disabling it until it needs to be used. So if I ever forget, give me a shout to enable it.

Simonise seems to be the kind of guy who likes to take the easy way out. Gets thrown out of the U of C for academic issues so he didn't seem to study or do the classroom work he needed to do to stay in university. Then he gets caught for using PEDs. Is he really worth the baggage that comes with him? I'm thinking he's not.

Take it from someone who's been there. Our system is pretty good to excellent. Wait times are an issue but once you're in the care is exceptional.

    CFL Draft

Hell, next year's draft could be just as much of a crap shoot as this years. If there is a better draft class available the NFL will dip all the deeper to scoop the prime prospects leaving the CFL with the secondary remains again. This is becoming a serious problem for the CFL to navigate.

Since TSN is raving over his testing numbers, let's compare #2 this year, and the guy we gave up #2 last year to get: Pro day results: Waggoner: 6’0”, 224, 4.56 forty 1.53 ten), 39.5 vert, 25 bench, 10’02 broad Judge: 6’0”, 220, 4.55 forty (1.59 ten), 36.5 vert, 19 bench, 10’11 broad

    CFL Draft

picking gray is nuts .... he is career nfl-er ... chances of him ever playing cfl is less than 5% ... so use your imagination some place where it could be useful got to go with Walters judgment at #1 .... and we don't need the best player available, we just need a good player that will sign us and play for the next 3 years with us BTW Walters having predraft contract negotiations with Faith is brilliant

    CFL Draft

I'll play... I don't think that Faith is a first overall talent, but I'm resigned to the idea that he will be our pick. He should be able to rotate right away and we need another NI DL. As for Gray at 6... That's what I'd do. Someone said he got a 5K signing bonus, so they have less than the cost of a good party for the new guys in him right now. I expect he will be looking for work in the CFL by 2019 and he will have a couple of pro years under his belt under the best football coaches and facilities in the world.

Hopefully closer to the cap means they are signing Trouba long-term... but I don' think so. Jets will drift along, saving money on the RFA deals until they are 6 months away from UFA and then trade them for more picks and a prospect.

http://www.tsn.ca/cfl-draft-seven-thoughts-about-seven-positional-groups-1.744993 Duane Forde with last minute analysis... His top prospects are - Judge, Behar, Ekakitie, Luke, Colling, Spooner, Wright Interesting that now both Dunk and Forde are not ranking Vandevoort as clear #1 REC and maybe not even first round

    Around The NHL 2016/2017

This was always the range Darling was going to get. Term might be a bit long Similar to what Talbot got in Edmonton. Talbot was similar as an unproven starter who had shown well as a backup with the Rangers prior to signing in Edmonton.

  38. I'm more of a music guy, but I can do (and have done, on a small scale) Sports and News...it just hasn't been my primary objective the last 15 years. I host Election Coverage events (huge Poli-junkie) and can host round-table format sports talk. Essentially what Huss does for H+L, I can do, and have done on a smaller scale.... As for Penton not being like Lawless...maybe that's a good thing? Here's the thing about doing that gig....you're not trying to directly replace GL, 'cause that's a fool's errand. Whoever comes in next has to be their own person and bring their own style. And if it *IS* Penton, who's to say he's not capable of being a little more "bold" in his opinions? We've only ever really heard him on buttoned-down CJOB, right? Maybe if you put him on TSN and give him free reign to be a bit more opinionated, then he lets loose a bit....

  41. WINNIPEG — Manitoba Bisons quarterback Theo Deezar will get another chance to learn and train with some of the best in the business. For the second year in a row Deezar will attend Winnipeg Blue Bombers camp as part of the CFL-CIS quarterback internship program. 2) - "Canadians are like gold, Americans silver” – has long been a commandment in the Canadian Football League when it comes to piecing together a roster. The Bombers have nailed their last three drafts, with 13 of 20 selections currently on the roster, including starting center Matthias Goossen, guard Sukh Chungh and safety Taylor Loffler. It’s all been part of a roster makeover, particularly with the Canadian talent, that GM Kyle Walters & Co. have undertaken since being handed the keys to the football ops department. With all that in mind and with the Bombers holding seven selections – including the first, sixth, 15th and 23rd overall picks – in Sunday’s draft, bluebombers.com takes a look at the current crop of Canadians and how they were acquired… http://www.bluebombers.com/2017/05/04/canadian-currency-cfl-draft/ ?‍?Put my position, in the slot that believes drafting a NI receiver shouldn't be a top priority in this year's draft.
