Esks offence is no joke. Reilly is healthy, their OL is mostly healthy, Perkins is a great replacement at RB and might end up holding onto the starting job regardless of health, and their receivers, while somewhat beat up, are still dangerous. I do find it a little ironic that they have been decimated with injuries but Cory Watson is actually healthy.

Since 2015, only two quarterbacks have recorded 10+ game-winning drives while trailing or tied in the fourth quarter: Mike Reilly (12) and Matt Nichols (10). In the same span, Trevor Harris has eight and Bo Levi Mitchell seven. Took a bit of a haircut, all things considered. Going to be a hell of a player, but with 2 guys eating 21mm in cap space (the same hit as Kane/Toews - 10.5mm/each) it'll be tough for Chiarelli to field a competitive team around them. Have to find a bunch of value contracts that can perform at a high level....a lot of which will have to be stand out draft picks. Gonna be relying heavily on ELCs...

Here's a quick synopsis, anybody missing from the G.D. roster has either a lower or upper body injury and they could be gone anywhere from 1 game to 3 years. Any specific reports varying from this are scandalous hearsay.

He was a third round pick by the Stamps. We got him for a fourth rounder. He is brutal in coverage. We got a 5th back in deal. I'm fine with the move, basically give nothing up to get nothing. Adams is a project to look at, I don't expect much. I think this is more about the Riders being done with Bridge. I mentioned this the other day, why was Jones so mad that Bridge took a time count violation with a few seconds left in a blowout win? Obviously more to the storey behind the scenes. either bridge isn't too smart or he isn't running the play that is called from the bench. Something that never goes over well with the coaches. We know you can throw the ball 60 yards Brandon, but can you check down and throw it 8. I liked what I saw of Bridge and wanted him to play more, maybe there was more to the storey

Groulx and Sorensen suck. I expect the pocket to be in Reilly's lap all night. Key to this game is contain and not letting him out of the pocket.

I think how I would take it and from my experience you can have soreness somewhere and it doesn't really impede what your doing, just a nuisance, but having pain when doing it hinders you and doesn't allow you to be fully effective Just like the age old saying from a coach..."are you hurt?..or injured?..if you're only hurt then get back out there"

On paper, we're superior almost everywhere except at QB. They've still got some all-star caliber players (Reilly, Willis, Ladler, Bowers, Hazelton) but they're a very, very beat up team. What I'm really curious about is how they're going to do on the DL with almost no solid bodies to rotate in. Mike Moore is adequate, not sure about Yates but that's a lot of reps for guys (Bowers and Boateng) who have had their success in controlled rep counts so far.

It's mostly his head, he's got to beef it up.

Just realized something odd... the Riders appear to be on their 2nd bye week of the season already... after this week the Riders will have played only 7 games, while BC, Toronto and Ottawa will have played 9.... I get that the CFL schedule is goofy due to there being 9 teams... but that is just kind of ridiculous...

Oh I ain't saying MOS is always truthful with the media, but I will tell you this, I'll believe he's telling the truth here and that Lawless is doing what he often does and is passing speculation off as fact. If Lawless says things like "hearing this" or "there is a belief around the CFL" or anything along those lines I'll believe that he has a source on that. uh, no offense but I'd trust the word of the coach then of some scribe from across the country.. What exactly would Mike Oshea, who rarely IF EVER has seemed to come across as someone who isn't a straight shooter, benefit from lying, essentially? Thats all it was...a bad BC showing. Jennings wasn't ready and by the time he was yanked the game had got out of hand and that lack of B.C preparedness and attitude wasn't something they were gonna come back from...they packed it in plain and simple. Lulay starts and has the success he had before...and he would have that game would have taken a completely different complexion and direction...But I glad...helped us out big time and Sask is in no way shape or form a threat to overtake us regardless
