  1. Actually I don't think they have a better defense at all Their line-backing corp to a man isn't better. They have actually given up 1 more point against which isn't an indication of being better, but statistically that makes them not as good. D-Line with Poop in is a wash if you ask me. We take the ball away more...more interceptions and forced fumbles. 3 less sacks, than Scmoes . Our O-line is better..we lead the league in least pressures allowed, and again stats wise isn't our Qb the top rated in the league??? Best kicker as well resides with Winnipeg and arguably the best cover team. Best all around RB as well as lead the league in rushing per game. The Schmoes have us in receivers i would concede that, but after that I think we are better all around. We are 9-3...They 7-5...we play our game, don't turn it over, ball control offence like we are totally capable of I see no reason for not getting a win..and by more than a TD

  2. Trent Richardson got charged with DV and had the same outcome as Manziel ... dismissal so why is he allowed in but Manziel is not? why was Justin Cox allowed in? Now he's stuck in Canada beating the **** out of women here too. why was Chris Rainey allowed in? Texting "time to die *****" to a woman isn't bad enough? why was Kyries Hebert allowed in? The list goes on and on ... they only care because Manziel is high profile and it gets people noticing that they care ... which is what the league wants ... the illusion of giving a **** when they clearly don't

  5. Why do people assume Manziel's case was strictly about domestic violence. That wasn't the only issue he would have had to address.

D seems pretty cut & dry to me, tbh. Top 6 is set, barring injuries. Big Ben is a prototypical 7th D. He's old enough now we're not hurting his development if he only plays 20 games or less. Should we encounter injuries, which we will, I'd be in favour of a Poolman callup midseason. Until then maybe he can help the Moose win some games for once.

  8. Well, cheers friend! Glad I'm not the only one who prefers to dine local! I'm from St.James, born & raised. We need more places like this succeeding in the neighborhood. Next time a friend suggests Smitty's for wing night, imma slap them and say OGC or nothing at all!

  9. I guess that's how you see it as opposed to what's really happening. If you can't see it or accept it, that's on you. Briles was 'un-hired' by the commissioner. It played out how it should have. Domestic violence is a big deal. We all know that. And that's why each 'case' has to be looked at separately. You're trying to tie everything into one topic, and it just ain't so.

  10. Well, wouldn't it be nice to know all the relevant facts about each grass fire as they pop up? But no, we won't find out everything. That's we appoint somebody who can do that, and is willing to do what's necessary to get things right. Sounds to me all parties, so far, are ok with the results, so, where's the problem? Will they get every case bang on? Doubters. But from I've observed they are way more pro-active in one year than others in a few years work. And is it really a big deal? Only if we make it so.

  11. Sounds like Mr Richardson has the "brains" to match his "skill"... http://3downnation.com/2017/09/26/new-riders-rb-trent-richardson-i-would-love-to-go-out-there-and-run-somebody-over/ Asked what he knows about the CFL... "Not much. I know it’s end zone to end zone – 120..." And it sounds like he thinks he gonna walk in a dominate the CFL... "...I know you put a pigskin, a football in my hand I’m ready to run and do what I do best – get in the end zone and probably run over a player or two" I would love to see him run into a wall by the name of Alex Singleton, Bear Woods or Solomon Elimimian and see how many people he thinks he's gonna run over after that...

  12. Maybe it's a move to the way things are going. I do know many teams have already lately and in the past ran potential signings by the league prior to doing it to see if they would/should allow it, and have been re-buffed and they would have been significant names....and I am all for that exclusion because the CFL doesn't want to be perceived as a League which allows any degenerate into it's fold, no questions asked...and thats a good thing It's also not a convenience thing for Hamilton. They as an organization shouldn't have to lose rights to a guy while the League waits to determine if his head is right. As for the guys already in...I'm guessing that they are grandfathered now, but any recurrence and I'd bet they will be outta here immediately. As for that piece of crap Cox...just a shame he is still here at all

  13. sorry if "sucking each other off.." is a tad bit much to my sensibilities, especially when there is some younger kids who post on here. I don't give a crap when people discuss and debate the good and on the bombers but lets keep it above the belt. I wasn't commenting because he was being critical so please do back up out of my grille plz n thx.

  14. If he's not under contract for next year, and since there will be little other competition for him at the current rate, he either takes a haircut or moves on to life after football. Maybe they meet in an area of mutual agreement, where Bombers sign him to a Fantuz-like, coaches contract. The thinking being, that they can activate him on a player's contract if needed due to injury? To me, the BB hold all the cards on this one.

Apparently Copp has been getting some time at 4th line center in practice so we may see him there yet. I still believe Hendricks will only be a part-time player, likely starting the year in the pressbox and only coming in when there are injuries or someone is playing poorly.

  16. Hey, when a guy with a 3.3 yards per carry average like Trent Richardson tells you that he is too talented to sit on the sidelines, you have to make the move to sign him.

  17. I am beginning to wonder if Jones is feeling heat to produce results after the circus he has been ringmaster over for the past while. Desperation makes for poor decisions.

  20. Pretty much my thoughts exactly. It's sad that some of the users here are too busy sucking each other off about how great the Bombers are to look at the quarterback situations throughout the league with an objective eye. Pretty much par for the course for this site lately though. Anyone who doesn't pay tribute to the Bombers gets insulted and ran off the site, so we have the same 5-10 users sitting around high-fiving each other and our absentee admins don't give a **** either way.

  22. We're talking peanuts. Like $30,000-$35,000 per team would give the PR guys $1000 a week as a minimum.

  24. I started pumping the tires of Davis back in training camp 2015, and I have some amount of confidence that he can come in and do good things for us if the situation called for it. He has the tools and he's been working in this system for three years. But to take a sample size that is close to zero and make claims about where he stacks up against others in the league, that's just a fool's errand.

  25. I would agree if it was the normal number of signings like other teams but this has become ridiculous. I'd love for the CFL to be transparent & release their salary cap audits so we would know for sure.

  26. I'm 50/50... John Murphy has some insane connections in the states... but I'd also believe that the Riders are offering 'extras' beyond the cap. More than just free car washes.

  31. The 1981 Alouettes signed Billy White Shoes Johnson, Vince Ferragamo and David Overstreet. Only Overstreet street was a 1st rounder but the other 2 were established NFLers.

  32. must be the first time in history of cfl, that two no. 1 nfl draft picks have been signed to one team in the same season. I remember when R. Williams came to the CFL, Toronto I think. The entire Bomber defence was tackling him every time he got the ball .one guy against 12

  34. Not sure if it was mentioned yet, but Getzlaf was released by Edmonton. Don't think the Bombers would be interested. He's past his best before date and too expensive. Personally I would like to see more of the guys we already have.

  36. Can we really expect the "Flagship Franchise" of the CFL to follow the rules like everybody else? I mean that province of 1.3 million drives everything in the league, tv ratings and revenue, gate attendance, merchandise. We all just need to ignore the two "Save Our Riders Telethons" and acknowledge our new Rider overlords.

  38. Or written a slightly different way, hope that the refs allow 50-50 balls to be played like they are 50-50 balls, rather than letting their receiver mug our DB and/or allow our DB to fight for a chance to pick the ball.

  44. I'm going to go with three not-so-obvious ones. Brandon Alexander (couple beautiful knock downs), Matthias Goossen (no snapping miscues on a night where nobody would blame him if there were several) and Justin Medlock (for realizing that distance on punts wasn't going to be massive tonight and opted to punt the ball in ways that made it a nightmare for McDuffie to handle all night)
