Hmmm, Ted Wyman reports on what he sees in practice.... then uses logic and a little bit of reasoning to report on the football club without hearing it from them... Meanwhile, Wicek is probably crying right now that no one has given him an update on the injured players...4 points

I don't mind TSN pumping Harris' possible 1000/1000 season at all. We need to celebrate the extraordinary talent in the league instead of drooling over the often bizarre NFL "superstars".3 points -
Ehlers is the most highly skilled player on the Jets roster. He has a 60 point season under his belt and in my opinion hasn't even come close to putting it all together yet. To lock up a key piece at a price this cap-friendly is great news for this franchise.3 points

I distinctly remember Malveaux's tackle on Williams. It was 1-on-1 near the sideline and I thought that Kelly was going to get trucked but he got low and stuck Williams right at the point of attack. Malveaux was a beauty.3 points

The man is allergic to holes. He likes running directly into his blockers. That hasn't changed in the three years he's been sitting. He's landed on the right team... he'll only be the second biggest, former-NFLer, bust this season in Regina.3 points

It's just the MLS part I don't want to admit. My Winnipeg buddies already think I'm a Vancouver hipster after living here 3+ years. If I start attending MLS game's regularly, in addition to only drinking craft beer, locally roasted coffee, and owning an expensive bicycle, they may have a point!3 points

Jets Extend Ehlers 7 years $42M
bustamente and 2 others reacted to blue_gold_84 for a topic
Nah, it's a steal. And it's incumbent on Ehlers to progress...? Thanks, Captain Obvious. That's pretty much how it goes with every young player signing his first non-entry level contract. You're banking on him building off the success he has already had, and hope for a solid ROI. Pretty sure everyone here knows he's a winger, BTW.3 points -
Bullshit. You make it harder for the deranged people to get guns and you see a lot less of this **** happen. Yes a really determined person can still get a gun, but you weed out a lot of the crazies. Let's not put our heads in the sand here. Guns exist for only one reason, to kill things/people, you don't make it so bloody easy for whackos to get them you make it harder to whackjobs to kill and injure mass amounts of people and ruin lives. There is a reason the majority of these things happen in the States and only sporadically in other countries that have better gun control.3 points

Eichel has two seasons under his belt - 56 and 57 points. $10 million/season is an overpayment no matter how you spin it. But Buffalo had very little choice.... they needed to lock him down long term.3 points

Warner was a defensive end first time..and an animal When he came back has bulked up to an interior d-lineman body type and wasn't the same..good..but not a force like when he was an end3 points

Fun with google: So big Nate was in 2007, and he lost that job to the previously mentioned by atomic Jerome Haywood. Also would have lost it to a well-positioned Gatorade cooler. http://www.cbc.ca/sports/football/blue-bombers-release-nate-davis-1.655494 Yeah, he was a good one. But none of them had any longevity lining up beside Brown. One or two seasons, then replaced.3 points

Ron Warner. Played for us twice in 2000 & 2006. He was phenomenal in 2000 (6 sacks in 9 games) before going back to the NFL. IIRC injuries caught up with him and wasn't the same when he came back.3 points

Roberts was unreal but he could not carry a team the way Harris does... almost no one can. There have been times this season where the bombers have lost momentum and Harris steps in and basically wills a first down... Roberts would have gone for a smoke.3 points

Some Food For Thought

Okay, it was bugging me so I had to look up the stats from that game: According to this record of the game: https://www.cfl.ca/games/1314/toronto-argonauts-vs-winnipeg-blue-bombers/ Williams had 8 carries for 14 yards with his longest being 11 yards. His first Carry was a 2 yard gain, tackle by Doug Brown (Net +2) Second carry was a loss of 4 yards, tackle by Malveaux (Net -2) Third carry, gain of 2 yards, tackle by Tom Canada, (Net 0) Forth carry, gain of 4 yards, tackle by R. Warner (note: I have no recollection of that player?) (Net +4) Fifth Carry, gain of 1 yard, tackle by Tom Canada, (Net +5) Sixth Carry, gain of 3 yards, tackle by D Carter, (Net +8) Seventh carry, loss of 5 yards, tackle by Iceman (Net +3) Final carry, gain of 11 yards, tackle by $tanford Samuels, (Net +14) So after seven carries, he was averaging under half a yard a carry....yikes.2 points -

Going from my memory of being at the game, about halfway through the 4th quarter, Williams gets his longest run of the game, I think it was like...12 yards?. That brought his net total of yards for the game up to 7......2 points -

Let's be honest, the team knows the hunt for 1000/1000 is on and Harris is going to be getting the ball as a pass catcher as often as he has to in situations where he may typically not. They want him to get the record. Personally, I think he gets it either way.2 points

Is it just me or has Nichols looked more elusive as well the last 2 games or so? Seems like he never used to find his way out of pressure, but I noticed a few plays where he showed some escapability lately. And I mean that separate from ability to run the football.2 points

He's already gone on record as saying just give him the ball and he will score touchdowns and knock people over... also that he is too talented to be in the sidelines... he thinks he's going to walk in here and become the best RB in the league overnight... That, coupled with the fact that he plays for the Riders... makes me want him to fail miserably and wash out of football for good...2 points -
I expect not much...and most likely an injury.2 points

That's Dee's fault. Puns are one thing, constantly adding layers of complexity to the delivery is just unnecessary. We need low hanging fruit. Not onions that need layers peeled back. Onions are disgusting. LOW FRUIT!!! Edit: Look at this: That is one laaaaaazy pun. No effort required on the reader's part. Or the writer's. That is embarrassingly bad, the way a pun should be.2 points
