  2. I have some good news guys! We're 0-2 at home when I attend. And 5-0 at home when I don't attend. I'll be at a wedding social Saturday evening so I won't be able to attend the game. Therefor according to my calculations that I've ran extensively.. We should come out with the W!!

  3. Well Elimimian isn't Canadian, so that doesn't help anything. Now people would just be bitching about how Derek Jones keeps getting beat on the corner. Singleton isn't on our team. He's obviously better than Hurl, but so what? As in, why aren't people spending countless hours complaining about Feoli-Gudino not being as good as Sinopoli? That would be an identical situation, but it never happens. What kind of impact would Sinopoli have on our team? The same. We'd be better. If we replaced all our non-all-star players with the CFL all-star team, we'd be better. I completely agree that we don't have all the best players in the league on our team.

    To Be Positive

To be positive.. We' ve yet to lose back to back games all season. I'm sure the boys will be fired up at home tomorrow night.

  8. What does incidental contact even mean in this case? They use that term when what they are trying to say is unintentional, and lack of intent is not relevant when it comes to roughing the passer. If you believe there is intent, you can take it to the next level and eject the player from the game. Lack of intent does not negate the call. What they might be trying to say, and in typical CFL style doing it poorly, is that the contact is insignificant. I'd be fine with that. It's subjective, but so is pass interference and several other calls the refs have to make every game. A few years ago they'd call roughing the passer if a DL's hand brushed the QB's helmet on the way by, or if he touched his foot (cause that's below the knee). It was pathetic. Another example of the CFL overreacting to an incident and pushing the pendulum waaaay too far in the other direction without any thought to the possible and obvious flaws. Y'know, that thing they do regularly. Those penalties were stupid and awful, and I don't want them called. If the ref was trying to express to OShea that he didn't feel the contact was worth calling, as in insignificant, that would make sense. It would just mean he got the call wrong and isn't a very good ref, which is run-of-the-mill CFL stuff.

    Around the NHL 2017/2018

So then they are saying that Matthews is on the same level as McDavid, which is equally absurd.

  10. No team anywhere just leaves guys open, and if they do I have complete confidence that Nichols will see it and exploit it.

  12. YEAH AIR! WHY? I assume you're arguing with the air, since literally no one has claimed he's "such a good player". Also, he did see the field last year. He was a regular part of the defensive NI rotation with 3 or 4 other guys.

  13. I have in the past seen them call penalties on unrelated challenges but they may have changed that. The CFL has no consistency in how they do the challenge process. Been a giant clusterfuck since day 1.

  17. And he seems to enjoy making fun of Friedman, who happens to be a much better insider. Kypreos does come across as arrogant at times, too. Dreger, LeBrun, and McKenzie are the ultimate insider trio and TSN takes the cake easily in that regard, IMO. The only one on SN who comes close is Friedman.

  22. Geeze, if you're going to tear them down at least get your stats right. Prior to '89 they had won one Grey cup in their 79 year history.

  23. If Sam Hurl is such a good player, why couldn't he see the field last year? The only thing he has going for him is his Canadian passport. I can't imagine any other team in the league starting him.

  24. Crazy that Lowry gets on the PP over guys like Little, Ehlers. The guy to stand in front of the net thing is useless if the guy can't handle the puck and the team can't get set up. Let Wheeler and Byfuglien shift there once we actually have the puck under control. Maurice is over coaching this team. Literally with the amount of talent on this team the PP should be top 5 in the league, top 10 at worst, if he just tossed his 5 best guys out there.

  27. Tracy fined for spear on hit to Nichols on play where fumble resulted. Again, how did the flag not fly/MOS challenge that? Kanneh also clubbed Nichols upside the head with his left arm before he stripped the ball with his right. Nichols was in the pocket so full RTP rules applied. Brutal and game-changing missed call.

Zero support for Helle... just another brutal PK - Lowry and Matthias gas themselves trying for a SH, Myers and Kulkiov have zero communication, everyone chases the puck into the corner... man.

  30. I'd go Ehlers-Scheifele-Wheeler-Laine-Buff or Trouba. Ehlers has great chemistry with those 3 other forwards and none with Little. Still have a pretty good 2nd group with Perreault-Little and Trouba or Buff with Morrissey and another forward.

  32. DDavis hasn't really had any opportunity to play this entire season, and played a very small amount last year. I didn't see the last game and no doubt if he had come in and destroyed the Tabbies we wouldn't be having this discussion......but I think we gotta give the guy a break. It's not like the old days when teams got their #2 into the game, our #2 hasn't played since Nichols took over last year.

  37. It can be a struggle at times. So the Bombers originally had 5 imports in to compete for the starting middle linebacker job. None of them stood out as exceptional. In the meantime, Cory "Poop" Johnson had a fantastic camp and did look exceptional. So OShea, being so incredibly stubborn, changed the plan and put Johnson in as a starter rather than Thomas as he was clearly superior in talent, and in the meantime at middle LB, no one stood out as being any great shakes better than Hurl, so they stubbornly switched the ratio from DL to LB.

  39. Switching QBs last season could've probably happened a game sooner but I still doubt the Bombers win in week 5 with Nichols behind centre. What was the alternative back in 2014 for Kuale, though? IIRC, his last game was in Ottawa in week 15 (injury?) and the Bombers didn't play better after that. I'm not sure if I buy the theory O'Shea is too stubborn to make changes. I think the team gambled at a crucial defensive position and it simply hasn't paid off.

  40. No it's not, Hurl has the right passport that's a fact, the rest is pretty much personal opinions.

  42. yea I was wondering about that too.. I know TSN loves to laud over a big name but Gable doesn't rank very high on my list of blocking backs.. not that I have watched him a ton but he didn't seem to be all that amazing at it for what I have seen..
