I'll even one up you... we are 0-4 when I watch the game on tv live... and 10 - 0 when I wait until the game is over and watch it on PVR. I've had season tickets three times in my life... the coaches were Reinbold, Kelly and Burke. I believe that I am the ultimate curse on the team. I will avoid watching the game or even come close to any tv....

JFG is very under-rated by Bombers fans. He has been very consistent and made several game-winning clutch grabs for us over the past 3 years. Hopefully he is healthy and not a last minute scratch.

Hate to say it and I don't have a ticket count but it could be the smallest crowd of the season at today's game, lots of factor's that I wont go into but this team should be playing in front of bigger crowds.

You'd think so, right? Outside 2001, I've been pretty consistently disappointed with how fans in this city support the team at times. Lacklustre turnouts for late season or playoff games .. there's always a reason why people don't turn out: too cold, too wet, better on TV, cottages (summer) .. This team is playing well. They've demonstrated (organizationally) they are committed to the fans .. hope the fans will show their commitment in turn .. pack the house, sell out the playoff game

I think our offense will be rolling assuming Nichols stays healthy. Lions defense hasn't been very good this season and Nichols always brings his A game against the Lions. Ps.. BC SUCKS

Such a stark difference in an O`shea led team vs a Jones led team. Mike has his guys humble. Get a first down. Get up and go for it again. Get a TD, quick celebration and off to the sideline to pump up the Defence. A team that plays like a team and will jump through hoops for each other and the coaches. Jones has a complete circus going on. Premadonmas running around taking dumb penalties and crying for penalties. Stupid first down street fighter crap (what is with that) 5 min td celebrations and a complete me first attitude on the team. The Riders have a ton of talent no doubt. But the coaching and attitude on that team is a mess. It's going to really burn them after losing next week and going into a tailspin.

Well Elimimian isn't Canadian, so that doesn't help anything. Now people would just be bitching about how Derek Jones keeps getting beat on the corner. Singleton isn't on our team. He's obviously better than Hurl, but so what? As in, why aren't people spending countless hours complaining about Feoli-Gudino not being as good as Sinopoli? That would be an identical situation, but it never happens. What kind of impact would Sinopoli have on our team? The same. We'd be better. If we replaced all our non-all-star players with the CFL all-star team, we'd be better. I completely agree that we don't have all the best players in the league on our team.

The defense was great for the most part, but the final few minutes of the game were a let down. Giving up two TDs in less than two minutes is pretty weak even if it is "garbage time." For the poster who keeps chiming in with the garbage time rhetoric, need I remind you that there have been at least two games this year (that come to mind) where the defense gave up two quick scores late in the fourth quarter forcing the game into overtime - one against Glen and the riders and another against Durant of all quarterbacks and the Als. I can't help but feel if the Bombers were up by two scores instead of 3 in this one that they still might have given up those 2 TDs late anyways. I also can't help but feel it's not entirely Hall...probably a good portion of it is his fault, but a good portion of the blame lays at the feet of the defenders.

I seem to remember we beat Montreal in garbage time back in August. Maybe we should give back those 2 points as winning points were scored in garbage time & don't count. They were irrelevant. Why are you bitching about people complaining about the defense? We have bigger problems like injuries to overcome.

I called out Lapolice today for not calling more deep route plays that featured receivers other than Lankford, and allowing the opponent to key in on Harris. But you gotta finish games as a D-coordinator, not go into silly passive mode. So I'm calling him out for it.

Ottawa's winning the close games right now. The Riders should have won this week and the Lions should have won last week. Ottawa's only got 1 more game left, against the Ticats. Should be well rested when they play again.

Let me guess. If reporter said, 70.6 percent would suggest passive box isn't working he would say lack of execution. Coaches goto phrase when defending a system. I've used it as well. :-) In theory, passive box clogs up shooting lanes with big bodies and sticks. In reality with our team, to use your terms, shooting gallery. My guess is teams with the best PK have an aggressive PK. In hockey passive box is one of my biggest pet peeves. I'll move on now.

Ummm you do realize right that the same Stampeders who smashed them 60-1 had to fight for their lives to beat them tonight, and also might have lost if Hamilton hadn't botched that RZ opportunity. Point is I thought Calgary would beat them by 20 or so tonight. Hamilton gave em a huge fight.

What does incidental contact even mean in this case? They use that term when what they are trying to say is unintentional, and lack of intent is not relevant when it comes to roughing the passer. If you believe there is intent, you can take it to the next level and eject the player from the game. Lack of intent does not negate the call. What they might be trying to say, and in typical CFL style doing it poorly, is that the contact is insignificant. I'd be fine with that. It's subjective, but so is pass interference and several other calls the refs have to make every game. A few years ago they'd call roughing the passer if a DL's hand brushed the QB's helmet on the way by, or if he touched his foot (cause that's below the knee). It was pathetic. Another example of the CFL overreacting to an incident and pushing the pendulum waaaay too far in the other direction without any thought to the possible and obvious flaws. Y'know, that thing they do regularly. Those penalties were stupid and awful, and I don't want them called. If the ref was trying to express to OShea that he didn't feel the contact was worth calling, as in insignificant, that would make sense. It would just mean he got the call wrong and isn't a very good ref, which is run-of-the-mill CFL stuff.
