I am pretty sure my weight fluctuates to gaining 5 lbs when I go to Burrito Del Rio and then losing 5 lbs the next day....

  4. Meh, not really. He was drafted in the 6th round back in 2012 and could barely hack it as a bottom 6 in the AHL (and IIRC, he's never played a regular season game in the NHL). He clearly thinks too highly of himself if he think he's a "professional" hockey player. He can't even carry himself in public as an amateur human being. I'm just glad this stinky turd isn't part of the Jets organization anymore.

  5. The guys in the ECHL barely make room and board. Even in the AHL he was probably only pulling down 55k or so. What a pathetic loser!

Worth the read. Cohen’s lawyer admits on national tv that Trump has no idea about the contract with Stormy. Which effectively voids it due to how it was written. He also admits Cohen fixed many many issues like this for Trump. Doh!

He helped Trump grow an inch and lose 50 pounds, seemingly, overnight. That deserves a reward!

  15. The problem was that it wasn't the same field turf that most other combine and pro-day testing is done on, so you can't make apples-to-apples comparisons. Apparently it's similar to the stuff that is put in gyms and training centres, but there's a huge difference between pushing a sled or doing footwork exercises, and doing speed tests. Don't know if installation played a factor either, but I saw a lot of guys slipping while trying to do the 3-cone and shuttle drills.

Rumours are it will be through Apple Music subscription. Ive said it before, I think most households will pay a monthly fee for one streaming service. Netflix has a huge advantage being first to market. Their original content better be very compelling to convince people to pay another monthly fee.

Watched the Roseanne revival and enjoyed it. The Trump stuff was a bit much but it made for a fine conclusion and I suspect similar arguments played out in many households. My main concern with a show like this is whether it would remain true to its premise or become a comedy about itself. It made fun of itself a bit but still had some solid observations about middle class families. It hints at some interesting developments - Darlene and David apparently not together, Darlene losing her job was a major financial blow (ie. as with the original, there is lack of large savings) and is there no support from David? The characters are all true to their original portrayal. And after skimming through much of the original series recently and now this, you get the sense that the emotional through-line is the Darlene character and in many ways Sara Gilbert is the strength of the show. She's still sarcastic and rough and very much like the Roseanne character (this was a theme during the original series where Darlene was just like Roseanne). In the original, it was Darlene's "weirdness" as far as being creative and alternative and wearing all black and tom-boyish that was a sign of the times. Now its Darlene's son Mark who likes to wear girls clothes. I thought that aspect was sweet and funny. Becky is much the same as well. Except her husband died and she works at a restaurant (much like Rosanne did) and worries about money which was always a thing with her when she left home. The replacement Becky is also on the show and they do poke a little fun at it. Aunt Jackie steals every scene she's in. She's hilarious but in the later seasons I thought she was too goofy and she has a touch of that here but its more muted and more of an "eccentric old spinster aunt" and it works because its funny and she's great. Interestingly, a running gag occasionally mentioned in the original was the weirdness of DJ. Many jokes made about him one day being a serial killer. He seems to be the most well adjusted and "average" success of all the kids. He's married, served in the military and is now home while his wife is still serving over-seas. He has a young daughter. Another fun thing, there was an episode years ago where DJ wouldnt kiss a girl in a a school play because she was black. He ended up marrying that girl. All in all, a worthy revival in my opinion.

yeah that sounds about right. The larger mlber is kinda of old school now. It really depends on the athlete. Its probably possible to get it done down in the 210 range, and up in the 250+ range. Though both would be harder. But if you are strong/fast enough it could work. The nfl has and has had some exceptional freak athletes who are small and ridiculously strong and big + crazy fast. In a best case scenario, when you notice them. Its when you dont notice them because theyve been swallowed up by a lineman or blocking back, or been run over by a large back like messam. An end, wil and mac in the cfl has to be strong and tough enough to survive the lumps they will take when they end up 1 on 1 with a OL. I dont think the league they play in in college is as big a deal as some. Big sec type schools do have better over all talent / athletes. But that goes both ways. You play with better and have more covered up. Because while the level is higher, its still a lot of raw guys who are either talented or athletic. Not a ton of guys who are both. I also dont think the big schools style of play synchronizes as well with up here. If he has what it takes to cut it up here, we will see soon enough. If he doesnt, it wont matter what position he plays. And if he does, he will work his way into a niche. Hes gonna be interesting to watch and see how he pans out.

  22. James 'Quick' Parker has died at age 60. Played for Edmonton, BC & Toronto from 1980-1991. Maybe the best defensive lineman who ever played. He was as fast as a rocket off the line on the snap of the ball giving opposing OL fits. The CFL started keeping sack records because of him. He was a four time winner of the Grey Cup. A CFL All Star multiple times. Defensive Player of the Year in the CFL in 1982. Grey Cup Defensive Player Of The Game in 82. Won the West Division's Dr. Beattie Martin Trophy as well in 1982. He was a great player & from everything I've read & heard, he was a nice guy off the field.
