  1. Wow, Edmonton will be really angry next week if they lose this one! Bombers are no Redblacks. They are not as good on offence or defense so it will definitely be a game for the Esks to right the ship. This could get ugly early next week with the Esks very motivated to lay a big licking on them.
  2. Plus Bombers have ratio problems now. This team has always been very thin in talented personnel.
  3. Definitely true. For a while there there was a good chance they would lose, but Montreal is just too bad for that to happen.
  4. One thing for sure. Montreal is in worse shape than the Bombers at almost every position, as well as their coaching and GM. Their OLine is as bad as I have ever seen in the CFL. Its is going to be dark times for that franchise for a few years to come.
  5. Yes, he was shut down because teams know that he is the key because the Bombers do not attack the field vertically. Teams are doing everything to take him away, knowing that the rest of the Bomber O cannot adapt and does not have the horsepower to be a threat. Defenses can throw everything at shutting Harris down because they do not have to cover downfield or worry that any adjustments will be made. That said, he is still very close to the leading the league in rushing, and he is a good back. If Bombers had a functional offence with some kind of consistent downfield threat, he would be very effective and would be the top running back again this year. I'll stand by the comment that he is a top-tier player but is being shut down because oppositions currently do not respect the rest of the Bomber O, which is atrocious.
  6. Andrew Harris, but after that, nothing... And some positions like receiver the team is struggling to have anything in the top 15
  7. I know you will get blasted here for doing it, but I'd be interested to hear what your theories are. I too think that the problem is more than just changing out the QB, changing out LaPo, changing out Hall, or any combination thereof. I'm interested in different opinions on that.
  8. My money is on Montreal. Bombers are still showing complacency going into this one. Bomber D hasn't had that bad a game for a few in a row, so they are due. Nothing has changed and they are still not a good defense, so the letdown is inevitable. Manziel is hungry, and traditionally the Bomber D does very poor when there is a new QB that they have to face. Couple this with the potential to really demonstrate how well they can tank in front of a big US audience, and it is almost irresistible for them not to screw up. Also, Bowman has a chance to have a huge game, and I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't end up over 200 yards with 2 or 3 TDs. Montreal still has a pretty good D, so I think the regression of the Bombers O will unfortunately continue and they will be unable to keep up with Montreal scoring. If Montreal gets up by more than 2 possessions in this one, it is all over.
