  1. Bighill isn't doing a mob job. He puts in the work. I know people who use his services and he's the real deal there.
  2. Fort Whyte, ass Park, ass Park forest, living prairie, multiple trails. Multiple large parks, golf courses that are indoor and out. I take my family to the Forks fairly regularly. Don't get down on a city just cause you're scared.
  3. My argument isn't that WPG is some perfect paradise or that it isn't shitty at times. It's that, Winnipeg isn't unique in that aspect. Every city of comparable size is pretty well the same. Maybe with the lack of stabbings lol. But bigger cities have huge run down areas that are just out of sight unless you are specifically going to that area. They've been able to segregate their ****, Winnipeg will too if it keeps growing (economy/population....not foot print). I can't remember the specific study, but in the early 2000s....I think....there was a report that came out that said there wasn't a single city of any size in NA that would be able to keep up with the urban decay to come. Some places have done better than others, but every city is facing infrastructure issues that they have no answer for.
  4. From my experience, the people who complain about Winnipeg as if it's some unique Unicorn when it comes to crime and decaying infrastructure etc etc, have also not lived for any amount of real time somewhere else that is comparable. Or visited for short periods of time.
  5. To be fair, Collaros was a legitimate CFL star for multiple years before his play declined initially. Wieneke has followed his one successful season with 2 consecutive down years. I'm not saying he's not a CFLer anymore. I'm saying league min would be fair and not a bargain.
  6. His first down year came in an Als uni. He was a deep/red zone threat that teams seem to have figured out....? I don't know. But he has been able to reproduce.
  7. The guy has been garbage the past two years. They're not getting a bargain.
  8. I actually think they would have likely been bottom feeders had Collaros stayed healthy. Remember that the way he played there is not the same way he's played here. And from his account, it wasn't his choice. Fajardo was allowed to run around and scramble and play to his strengths. Collaros wasnt necessarily given that freedom.
  9. Why did they want Hardrick? Or Kolo? Why do you insist on ignoring very recent history of the team doing this and being successful at it?
  10. I think Mike meant, Bailey was offered 160-170k in last year's FA, but choose the Bombers anyway which netted him 80k less than what was on the table.
  11. Still some people who haven't figured out the team knows what it's doing with Olinemen eh?
  12. I've been wondering what happened to him. Apparently is very talented, but haven't heard much since camp last year
  13. Losing bolo sucks. That's a young guy they developed that could absolutely start and make an impact. But for good reason he wasn't doing that here.
  14. Just like Yoshi started for the riders on an abysmal oline before coming to the Bombers.
  15. Dobson and Eli were very much development guys last year. We will need to unearth a new tackle but outside of that...we're fine. Depth will take a bit of a hit, but like you said there will likely be a signing or two and if history is any indicator. They will be more than ready to step in if needed.
  16. Walters said the team is moving on from him.
  17. Gray with all his hype has never lived up to it IMO. He was one of the most overrated players on our team. Don't get me wrong, I'd take him back on a heart beat. But I'm not convinced he's some MOOL in waiting or that he would have succeeded as a T. He has all the talent in the world, or so we're told ...but he can't seem to put it all together.
  18. The team has lost Olineman every year for several years. This isn't the first time and won't be the last. I have zero concerns about it right now.
  19. Takes time to bounce back from that. I wouldn't be surprised to see him making an impact this year.
