  1. Nope. BC asked him to restructure, and Rhymes said no thanks. That was reported at the time of his release. He didn't want to take a pay cut and BC couldn't afford to keep him.
  2. That was the frustrating part. In warm up he'd be kicking completely fine. And in game he'd always try to get the weird bounce....which I'm actually a huge fan of, but it obviously wasn't working. Maybe 1 out of 10 punts would
  3. I'd love to have Kongbo back. But No thanks with Sewell. We have aging bodies there already. Rather bring in young players that grow.
  4. I was fully expecting one of if not both of the tackles to leave the team this year. That tackle spot leaves me a bit nervous but otherwise the O looks like it's set up to be one of the best this year. The defence has a few more ?? right now, but they may be solved shortly. I'm prepared for a step back honestly, but they'll still be competitive in every game. I really hope they find 3 or 4 solid starter quality players in TC this year and they get lots of experience so that when 2025 comes around they're ready to go, no questions asked. I'm honestly more excited about 2025 than I am this year lol.
  5. True, but he wasn't a star player. At the time WPG wasn't a hot landing spot for anyone and Stanley came here by choice, off of a MOOL award in CGY. The neuf trade was solid, but wasn't nearly as impactful right out of the gate as the Stanley signing.
  6. My thought was possibly olb? I don't know though. Agreed he's not big enough for de
  7. Yeah, pro sports are cut throat. They aren't the 1st and won't be the last. FUN FACT. On this day in 2015 the 1st piece of the puzzle was officially signed. #66 the GOAT of Goats became a Winnipeg Blue Bomber.
  8. Loved what he brought to the field. Sad to see him go. But not surprised. Looks like 8 other teams felt the same way the Bombers did. I'll always remember him being part of the most dominant defense professional football has ever seen.
  9. Everyone plays banged up at that time of year no doubt. It's about how effective you can be. Hindsight is 20/20 and it's abundantly clear that Bighill and especially Schoen should not have been on the field for as many snaps as they were. As was stated, your comparisons aren't meaningful as Strev was a secret for the most part....but was still extremely effective and Alexander as proven by video hurt himself celebrating after the win.
  10. I can see Grant heading to BC. Might be a good replacement for Lucky. And who have they signed? That one LB and Stanback.
  11. No. That makes the deal make more sense. Nichols is better, and didn't just sign a new contract, and is still making more.
  12. TO still has a decent wr core. But I agree, AJ was a main piece of the puzzle for that o and their Defence likely won't be able to bail them out like they did so many times last year. Will be interesting to watch how Kelly deals with some regular adversity.
  13. With all due respect, there are not 15 RTs that are better than Hardwick. That's ridiculous to even suggest. He's top 3 for sure. It's not his ability that's the problem really. When he's on, hes one of the best. It's his age and potential for declining play that makes the contract crazy.
