For me, this comes down to what has already passed. We know the PCs were given money to help with Covid (i think that's what it was for..the 85 mil) and we have zero knowledge of what happened to it. Even after they've been asked, nothing. Similar things happened with Daycare and education. Daycare I know the prov gave the payments to the centres...instead of investing in actually making daycare cheaper all the time. Don't get me wrong, I've benefitted THIS month because of what the PCs did. (I didn't have to pay this month) but I would have preferred to pay this month knowing that in the next year or so, daycare costs would be coming down. PCs had also been given money to help with school infastructure...essentially to update it especially the ventilation...again..what happened with it? So my question is...if the Feds are giving provinces money for specific things, and the provinces aren't using it for those things or only using part of it...or using it for those things but not in the intended way. AND the provinces are then turning around and pointing the finger at the feds for the problems those funds were supposed to address. When does it become reasonable to want a solidified plan in place before more money is given out?

I'm not sure how much of a good idea this is. Obviously there has been a problem with non residents buying houses and having an impact on the market. But what about people that are legitimately trying to move to Canada? I guess it's only 2 years...?

Please take me seriously when I say I don't give two shits about whether or not anyone agrees with me on this board. Your opinions are yours and mine are mine. Should Biden be charged with something...not that I'm aware of. Does that mean he's not currently corrupt and deserving of jail time..? I have a hard time believing he isn't.

No it isn't. And the dems have major issues. That comparison isn't fair imo. We say things like both are only accountable to the rich/corporations etc....as if that hasn't led to proxy wars and the horrors that come with that. Or over inflation of the for profit jail system. Both political parties have absolutely ruined lives if not just flat out killed people. Trump is an absolute idiot in how blatant he's been and is an obvious target, who again...needs to be held accountable. That doesn't mean people on the left aren't involved with just as serious incidents, they're just far better at hiding them or working within the system to get away with it.

I simply stated, being charged/not being charged does not equate to a moral/unmoral person. Many people who have been on the side of justice have been charged with a crime....likewise many horrible things have been done because it was legal (see slavery). My argument has nothing to do with Trump. After I pointed out that breaking/not breaking laws isn't a deciding factor in one's potential for corruption etc....17to85 made the accusation that I must believe Trump is innocent....im assuming because I believe corruption exists on both sides (as history has shown). That does not mean, I don't want him to, or that I don't want the justice system to try and get him put away. It absolutely should. That would be the just thing. I said he isn't going to jail, BECAUSE the system is corrupted and it would set a precedent (among other things) that the system can not abide too. I want Trump in jail, but I have no reason to believe a corrupted system is going to follow through.

100% no. I don't understand why people refuse to see that an American president will not ever be sent to jail. That sets a precedent that corrupt system wants no part of. Regardless of what you see in the media. And once again, 2 things can be true at the same time. Saying the dems are bad does not automatically = repubs are good. This dumb ass binary that people operate in is the problem. And until people start to understand rich donors donate to both sides, things won't change. This is easy to say for people who aren't related to her. If it was my wife/daughter/mother etc etc I'd be pressing everyone to get them home by any means necessary. People may not like the trade, but at the end of the day it was the right thing to do.

I don't think it can even be properly argued. The far right is and has been more of a threat for a while. As has been posted, thats according to people far more qualified than I. The left certainly have some nuts, but they usually stick to absolutely horrible policy/law/regulations type of stuff. A lot less violence from the left compared to the Right. People often point to "Antifa" as a left wing terrorist group. But as far as I know, there has been zero evidence that they are actually a organization on the level of say...the proud boys (lol). You can type out a personal story all you want. 1 anecdotal situation proves absolutely nothing. Boomers are the majority of voters right now and have been for decades. Look at our society/our leaders. That's just one example. The world is in the position it's in (both good and bad) largely because of the boomer generation. As for your story...you're missing the point. Yeah millennials etc. have their far share of nut bags...but who raised those nut bags?

This isn't the burn you think it is. It speaks more to the lack of proper parenting by YOUR generation than anything else. Though I will say I think Boomers get way more worked from rage farms than any other generation.
