  1. Zach Collaros’s decline was predictable and is sure to continue, but I still think he’s a good QB, and certainly a more proven commodity than Brown. He has sucked in the big games the last couple of years though, which is very frustrating.
  2. It didn’t look like Lawler and Collaros were on the same page on that play. A throw further to the corner of the end zone would have been a TD 100%. The play looked especially bad since Demski was so wide open for an easy pitch-and-catch on the same side of the field.
  3. What’s with all the hate for Sheahan lol? Is it his weird technique that throws people off? His average distance of 47.2 was not far off the 47. 9 that led the league among full-time punters and I am willing to bet his net yardage ranks even higher (anyone know where I can find that stat?). edit: found some in-depth punting stats. Looks like Sheahan ranks about the same in that category: https://d3ham790trbkqy.cloudfront.net/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/2023_CFL_League_Stats_Report_Week_21.pdf I think the biggest issue on special teams this year was Castillo’s distance on kickoffs. I would personally like to see what Dru Brown can do as the starter in this offence. Not sure I trust Collaros anymore. Overall I think the roster is still strong, but I wouldn’t mind seeing guys like Thomas and Houston let go.
  4. The interception in the end zone and the Alouettes conversion on 3rd and 5 were the two key plays for the Als tonight. Collaros and Parker deserve a good amount of flak for sure.
  5. I don’t think the punter was the problem this year. His average of 47.2 is not far off the 47.6 that led the league among full-time punters, and I bet his net yardage ranks even higher. He has a weird technique for sure, but it’s pretty effective. As far as special teams go, I think the biggest issue this year was Castillo’s distance on kickoffs.
  6. That’s interesting. I thought it only happened on scoring plays. I can recall a few times where plays could have been overturned had it been automatically reviewed.
  7. The one near the sideline where the ball hit the turf? I don’t think that had a chance of being overturned tbh.
  8. The play definitely could have and should have been challenged.
  9. Did the Bombers challenge anything tonight? I don’t recall such an instance, but I may be wrong.
  10. Show me the rule that says so. That is simply false. You are 100% wrong.
  11. Not true. In fact it’s easier to challenge in OT because you don’t need a timeout.
  12. True, but it still should have been reviewed internally and challenged by the Bombers.
  13. Hard to blame the refs when the Bombers could have challenged it though.
