I think Hutch has to play so many games this season to be eligible for the expansion draft so do they send Helle down? I think Helle is ready and Pavs should be sent down. I just don't see the Jets doing this. I'm not sure how they make this work in 2016/17. Helle needs more time in the NHL and Comrie more in the AHL. Ducky Posted August 24, 2016 Author Report Share Posted August 24, 2016 (edited) Hutch is okay as a backup..........Hopefully, Comrie is the backup goalie next year (17-18). Comrie is well regarded by most hickey analysts and some have him as high as the 5th best prospect. In my opinion, Helle needs a minimum of 42 games this year but I would hope to see him play 46-48. He would have to clear waivers is all and if we lose him, we send that team a BIG bottle of scotch. If he refused, I think the Jets have the right to suspend him without pay. Really do think it's pav hutch or pav helle this year tho.... one final year of pavelec in my opinion. Bottom line is he isn't really tradable. The only way he would be is if was expansion fodder but he's not even that... he's a ufa July 1st so basically he's worth nothing. bustamente Posted August 26, 2016 Report Share Posted August 26, 2016 The only way the Jets would be able to trade Pavelec would be if some team had injuries to there starting goalie, backup goalie and first goalie from the minors they would also have to be a contending team, so in summary enjoy Pavelecs last year in a Jet uniform and wish him the best in the KHL.
