Straight and simple thread for game day.....thank you

Gm #80 Notes · Winnipeg at Toronto:

 A Winnipeg win ...: If the Blue Bombers win this game they ...

 - Clinch a playoff berth in back-to-back years for the first time since 2007-08.

- Clinch a home playoff game for the first time since 2011 - they have been at home in post-season only 3x in the last 14 years - Reach 12 wins for the first time since 2002 and can win as many as 14 for the first time since 2001.

- Retain a chance to finish first if Calgary loses this week; last time in 1st? 2011.

- Finish at 7-1 vs the East, matching the most inter-divisional wins they have ever had (since interlocking play began in 1961).

- Give them 13 road wins in the last two years - the last time they had as many as 13 was 55 years ago (15: 1961-62)

- Make their record 9-2 in the last 11 games and give them 22 days to prepare for the Western Semi-Final (at least)

- Even Coach Mike O'Shea's career W-L record at 36-36 .500, .500 or better for the first time since September 13, 2014.

A Toronto win ...: If the Argos win this game they ...

- Move back into 1st place ahead of Ottawa and retain control of their own destiny in the East.

- Retain a chance to finish at .500 or better for the second time in the last three seasons.

- Keep their chance at 1st place alive and for the first time since they won the East in 2013.

- Improve their win total to 3 more than in 2016 (5-13); the last time they were +3 wins over the previous year was in 2012. - Match their best home record at 6-3 since a 7-2 mark back in 2003.

- Post their second win of the year over a Western team (they are just 1-7 thus far)

- Avoid a season worst 3-game losing streak.

- Give Coach Marc Trestman his 67th career victory and within one of Michael Clemons at #19 all-time (68 wins)

They better ******* not sit one of Poop or Nevis again. After seeing how both of them being on the roster befuddled the BC offense how do you not keep on keeping on with that?

The pressure that the D-line brought all game cannot be under stated.. They’ve found a winning combination...sure hope they stick with it.

Finally no Lankford on the roster. Little worried about Washington, hopefully he proves me wrong though. Very nice to see Dressler and Wild back, however little Wild might play. And please for fucks sake, play both Nevis and Poop this week, they are a two man wrecking crew when they're in the game, both in terms of QB pressures and shutting down the run game.

Gob-smacking Stats.... For Matt Nichols...

 Recent Winnipeg QB Starters: Matt Nichols has started the last 28 games and the last non-Nichols QB starter was Drew Willy on Jul 21/16 vs Calgary. Here is a recap of the impact Nichols has made comparing all Winnipeg QB starters across 2012-2017:

Winnipeg Blue Bombers 2012-17:

QB Starters

Matt Nichols games started 35 won-loss 23-12 .657%  9,477 yards 54 tds, 24 int

All 9 Other QBs   started ...70. won-loss 20-50 .287%  14,398 yards 51 TDs 61 int

Notable:

  - Nichols has more wins (23) and TD passes (54) in 35 starts than the other 9 QBs have in 70 starts (20W, 51 TDs) - Nichols pass efficiency of 97.4 far exceeds the other QBs combined at 82.5

- Since 2015, the Bombers winning pct. when Nichols starts is .657 and trails only Bo Levi Mitchell in that time

?‍?Damn fine stats...
