  1. Past hour
  2. I could swear there was a thread title that about about non NHL related
  3. Today
  4. 3 down nation Aur The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have signed American offensive lineman Matt Kickel and American receiver Reggie Brown. Kickel was named the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Offensive Lineman of the Year in 2024 as part of a decorated collegiate career at Aurora University, a Division III program located in Illinois. The three-time All-Conference selection played 34 games over four seasons with the Spartans after walking on at Arizona State in 2020. The six-foot-four, 315-pound native of Bolingbrook, Ill. spent time at guard and tackle. Brown played collegiately at James Madison University where he caught 93 passes for 1,686 yards and 16 touchdowns. The six-foot-one, 195-pound native of Lakeland, Fla. had a brief stint with the Kansas City Chiefs as an undrafted free agent in 2024.
  5. AHL related - maybe change thread title to Manitoba Moose - AHL?
  6. That would cause the return of Rod Black.
  7. Regulation win tomorrow and jets clinch 1st in west at the least as they would have 112 and Dallas 106 with 3 games remaining for both. Big one.
  8. Good thing I had it trademarked.
  9. I’m pretty sure he just heard that and is writing it down.
  10. Yeah, South east does have a couple good places to eat fake Chinese food.
  11. Suitor would call them the Canadian Armed Forces.
  12. The Chinese food place out there is legit.
  13. Oh damn I gotta check it out! qft
  14. Bombers should draft all of rourke, tachinsky, Desjardins, elgersma, Sénécal, hall and rooker. That way we can corner the market on Canadian qb prospects and bend the league to our will. Or atleast make the national media and suitor say good things about us and our players.
  15. Yeah, for some reason they lost the 1st pick of round 2 (which they received from Calgary for Adams) instead of their own pick.
  16. The Robin's toasted coconut was legendary. I shall be perusing...
  17. I thought that BC was docked their first two picks? The brainiacs have them picking at 11
  18. That's why it called a mock draft. You will have all the reason to mock who ever created it 😁
  19. Yesterday
  20. Grand Donuts on Grassie/Lag is good. They use the old Robin's recipes.
  21. Miller can be a hard ass to negotiate with but how the hell did he get the soccer league to pick up Valour's expenses?
  22. The fast food donuts are soo bad these days. Gotta go to a good bakery like grunthal (only reason to ever go there)
  23. Quick some one say some thing divisive!
  24. What kind of doughnut? Tim Hortons? Oh Doughnuts? Vital info is missing for this bet.
  25. Had to check all the tiebreaker scenarios and made some corrections to tonight’s clinching/elimination scenarios. For anyone wondering, the sequence of tiebreaker procedures is as follows (assuming teams are tied in points): 1. Points amassed in fewer games, a.k.a. higher winning percentage (obviously not at issue at season’s end when everyone has played 82 games) 2. Higher number of regulation wins (reflected as RW in the standings) 3. Higher number of regulation and overtime wins combined (ROW in the standings) 4. Higher number of regulation, overtime, and shootout wins - basically number of wins in the win column (W in the standings) 5. Greater number of points on head-to-head match-ups: (a) if an odd number of games has been played between two teams head-to-head, then the team with the higher number of home games in the season series will not have its first home game (the “odd” game) count in the determination of total points (b) where three or more clubs are tied, then the club with the greatest points percentage in games between all tied teams (not counting any “odd” games) is seeded first 6. Larger goal differential (reflected as DIIFF in the standings) 7. Greater number of goals scored (reflected as GF in the standings) This has all led to the scenario tonight where New Jersey can get into the playoffs without playing a game and even if their rival NY Rangers win their game tonight. NJ has 89 points with 4 games to play, NYR, Detroit, NYI, and Columbus all have 78 points with 5 games to play, meaning that at most they can tie New Jersey by season’s end. NJ already holds the regulation wins tiebreaker against every team but NYR, and leads NYR by 4 regulation wins. If NYR does not get a regulation win tonight, than at best they will finish the season tied in regulation wins, ROW, and total wins. NJ holds the 5th tiebreaker by winning the season series 3-0-1 against the Rangers. So even if the Rangers win tonight, if the game goes to overtime they will be eliminated due to being behind in the tiebreaker sequence to NJ. Or they could just lose and make all the math easier.
  26. That is awesome. We all know these financial ups & downs are cyclical. The question is how long can the team continue to make $$$ before the downturn inevitably comes.
