Yeah I remember how great it was before Mykaussie took over. I think he is the only one posting anything there although I do see GWN (Great White North) still posting there. I remember when I first started over there at the beginning - everyone was there and really some great discussions going on! There was a poster there by the name of Nanook (I think he was Canadian Military - stationed up in Cold Lake I think). We use to really get into it but all in good fun.

It was 4-1 Moose going into the third and then things really came off the rails. I'd say it was a team breakdown more than on Mason. 6 PIM for Petan... three minors. Iowa scored to open the third period, right after their PP on a Petan penalty ended, and then they scored a couple more times before the Moose got the game back under control. Said it before but Niku's a player. He'll be in the NHL at some point next season, IMO. I liked Spacek's game too. It is crazy that the Jets can have such a young lineup including guys like Morrissey, Connor and Roslovic yet the prospect cupboard is still so full.

Every time I see a post with people complaining about RF, or a topic all I can imagine is putting your hand on a hot element repeatedly and getting angry that it keeps burning you. When a person is naturally gifted at something they might not make a great coach. Explaining what you see isn't helpful if your student doesn't have the ability to see the same thing. The great teachers all have the ability to teach more than one way. I have no idea if Calvillo is a good QB coach or not. There's probably only 10 people in the world who could speak on that subject - the QBs and coaches he works with. If all he does is show them how he does it, he might not be a good coach, because they probably aren't Anthony Calvillo.

Scoring was way easier and higher back then. Last season Connor McDavid led the way with 100 points. (30G 70A). The 20th top scorer was Auston Matthews with 69 points (40G 29A) In Teemu's rookie season, Lemieux was top scorer with 160 points (69G 91A). And he did that in 60 games. The 20th top scorer was Fleury with 100 points (34G 66A). So Lemieux's assists alone would put him as the 2nd highest scorer last year. His goals alone in the top 20. And it wasn't just Lemieux with those kinds of numbers. #2 - Lafontaine 148 points #3 - Oates 142 points #4 Yzerman 137 points Teemu was 5th with 132 points.

I worked at Convergys yonks ago... at this time I was working overnights with about a dozen other people... we were cliquey and sat apart from one another, but were still restricted to a few rows. One group was heavily addicted to the song Wake Me Up by Evanescence. They would play it repeatedly throughout the night, just loud enough that you could tell what song was playing but not aloud enough to actually enjoy the song (if that is even possible). In a huge empty warehouse, no matter how far away you sat, the song was inescapable. They would sing along as well as they could, loudly and off key. The words eventually lost all meaning. I am confident that when I get to hell I will be forced to read the comments section of the Free Press with Wake Me Up playing far off in the distance for eternity.
