To be fair they "owned" us in a pair of 3-2 games that both (?) went to OT in their building. We crushed them both times in Winnipeg. I worry about their top line but the rest of their team is subpar to us.

The only downside to being in the playoffs is that we won't get to measure the Jets' success by the length of their playoff beards. Pretty much everyone already has one. Fun fact: the Toronto Maple Leafs have been in existence for 100 years. They have never had as many points in one season as the Jets have now.

I'm curious to see how they fight the battle against people streaming content for free... Over the last two years I'd say the quality of sports events live streams and the streams off of Kodi add ons have improved dramatically. I remember watching pixelated and the old buffering screen when watching UFC events and these days I can find multiple sources of a clean 720p stream of the fights where everything is razor sharp and running smooth.

Because others here have done exactly that when the latter's been in the lineup and the former has sat in the press box. A hat trick is a hat trick. And without it, the Jets probably don't win last night. The Jets did just about everything to give away that game. I'm amazed they managed to get the win.

whoah, Quick Parker was a nightmare made real (as a football player) I don't know much about Parker's character but I do know that he's going to heaven, because St. Peter doesn't have Chris Walby to keep him out.

Agreed - seemed like the Jets were off there usual game in those two road losses to the Avs but salvaged some points. If they were to meet in the playoffs I’d expect the results to be very different and well in our favour.

And? The Jets still put up 6 goals on the Avs. In two home games vs. COL, the Jets outscored their opponent 9-1. MacKinnon probably helps their cause but not enough for them to win.

My biggest issue with it is that he felt the power and dark side in Ben, was attacked and left. So he knew Snoke had turned Ben and knew how powerful they were. And he left. The same character that was willing to fight Vader in Empire by himself and face Palps in Jedi. If Luke Skywalker was so broken he didnt care who lived and died, fine, but they didnt give us a good enough reason in my opinion. Hamill was so good, that alone should have made them keep him alive. When Fisher died, it was a no-brainer. Im sure he'll be in the next one but its not the same. It seems like a lame reason, them wanting to focus on the new heroes. Meanwhile Disney makes a marvel film with 59 heroes in it. Rian Johnson sucked.

I accept the idea that Luke felt out of control and went into self-imposed exile. I like your rationale much more but didn't feel too bad about Luke in hiding.

From Latino Review: Of course, Mark Hamill is correct. And it makes me "grieve" how poorly Luke Skywalker was treated in this film. In TFA, the idea of Luke missing and in hiding was so damned intriguing. TLJ was such a let down showing us this bitter, faithless Luke who ran from the fight and abandoned his friends and family to evil. It made his whole arc in the original trilogy mean so little because it just didnt make sense. Im fine with Luke in hiding. But they needed a better reason. Return of the Jedi (or is it Empire) gives us the reason. Luke feels Vader sensing him and says "I shouldn't have come, Im jeopardizing the mission". If Luke felt he was a danger to his friends, family and the universe, that's a good reason to go into hiding (and give him something to do while he's there so its not wasted time...some sort of task or study that is critical to success so it shows Luke's time not only helped but was needed by whatever knowledge he gains). Anyway...broken record. Film sucked.

No they didn't but at the same time I don't need to hear a guy speak when he's down. As far as I'm concerned if he's in the AHL he doesn't owe anyone a soundbite. His play was also outstanding with the Moose so that shows a good attitude towards the game itself. That said, it's still a bit of a shitty attitude. A true professional doesn't act that way publicly.

Several of the rule changes make it easier to officiate. They are about eliminating judgement calls. Eliminating the force out play means that official just has to watch whether a foot is in-bounds or not. The illegal pass definition means that the official just has to look where the back foot is when the QB releases the ball; not try to figure out where his arm is in relation to the field. Eliminating blindside blocks and most low blocks are significant changes that are long overdue for player safety, but it are both pretty straight forward. Spearing is also now a simpler call. The sleeper play is not a common occurrence, but the clarification is fine. Not sure what is going to make it more complicated or difficult to officiate.
