Shhhh. Quiet. I'm busy memorizing some blogger's mock draft so I can be furious when Walters doesn't trade up to select the guy with the most reps on the bench press. Viva la echo-chamber!2 points -
Oh man after the heartbreaks of 1985, 1990, 1992, and 2015 even the prediction that anyone on the Jets will score a goal feels too bold. Following this team for so long, you get some scars...hopefully the 2018 Jets will be the plastic surgery I need...2 points

We're talking climate change in this thread. If you want to talk about the temperature, I would suggest starting a new thread or going to the Weather Network.2 points

Yeah, it's almost like climate and temperature are different things.2 points

Like it or not... Boston Toronto likely draws higher on CBC... 2 huge original 6 markets. But considering Toronto dont play tonight.. There really is no excuse for not having the other CDN team on CBC2 points

Source? Reports I've seen say he retired because of the knee injury he suffered last season. He re-signed with the Stamps in the off-season so why would they force him to retire now?2 points -
Isn’t the April mini camp coming up? Teams do this, sign guys to look at them at the mini camp and then decide if they survive to rookie or main TC.2 points

also the same number of QBs montreal has had in camp the last two years, and the same number the riders carry on the IR every week. Makes it easier to be a good receiver for sure, more standing reach then pure height but yeah. Doesnt matter how big you are, how fast you are, how strong or how well you run routes if you cant catch the ball.1 point

Wrestling
bigg jay reacted to The Unknown Poster for a topic
Completely untrue. I suppose if you define casual fan as 'person aware that a thing called wrestling exists but knows no one who actively partakes in it' then yes, I could agree with that. To ignore the fact he's the largest percentage ticket mover of anyone, has massive merch sales at mainstream clothing stores, helped draw record US PPV buys for New Japan (in the middle of the night and middle of the week), has been put over and communicated with by many in WWE including several legends, has been pursued by WWE for years and mobbed everywhere he went in New Orleans is just...well, you'd have to have a personal dislike of the man to ignore all that and pretend he isnt well known by wrestling fans. But really, its moot since the post had nothing to do with notoriety. It was funny. Oh and if Roman did work Kenny, it would very likely be the best match Roman has ever had in his life (or close to it considering he worked with Styles).1 point -

I like Omega but bottom line... Most casual fans have no idea who he is. The Jets are doing local winnipeg celebrities thing where they all say a thing about the whiteout. I said what about omega.. Everyone who responded said.. Who? He isn't known enough. I like him.. Hes a great wrestler and hes doing winnipeg proud but the majority have no idea who he is.1 point -

After Walters' presser a few weeks ago my pa-in-law says "So Muamba won't be playing for the Bombers this year..." and I pointed out that he hadn't signed anywhere else yet. And he still hasn't. And I still wouldn't be at all surprised if he ends up here. If he had a significantly better offer, he would have already signed. Some might be thinking he has to scheisse or get off the pot. From the Bombers perspective they don't really care, they're just done standing there politely holding the bathroom door open for him while he decides.1 point

Oh man, the 1990 Jets. That Jari Kurri game-winner in Game 6 was just such a backbreaker. After being down 3-0, coming back to tie it, and then blowing it... Ranford got better and better as the series wore on, and the Jets goalies, not so much. Starting Beauregard in Game 7 was a big ? but the Jets were so flat I don't think that it mattered. I remember the official marketing name of the Whiteout that year was "The Charge of the White Brigade." Which was perfect for the 1990 Jets playoff run -- gallant, brutal, short, and resulting in the utter defeat of the white team.1 point

Almost a full squad of players on a team. It definitely seems they’re serious about finding the right combination... 23 players! The same number of QBs we’ve auditioned over a couple of years before we plugged Nichols..?1 point

Kinder Morgan, like all pipelines, is designed to move oil from point A to point B the safest and quickest way possible. It's far more environmentally friendly than transporting it by rail. There is still a large market for oil. We still need. Why not sell what we have? The other energy sources, like wind and solar, are catching up and the market demand will shift. But not yet.1 point -

Canada is so behind. We need to catch up. Kinder Morgan pipeline is supposed to help save our economy! How about wind and solar energy saving our economy? With all our hydro power, how much of it is being sold to the US and are we making any money on it?1 point -
