  1. no matter what happens, this has been great playoff experience for all the young'uns, including Scheif, Lowry, Ehlers, Laine, Morrissey, Trouba, Copp, Armia, Roslo, Connor and Tanev. I hope we can keep this core together with a sprinkling of new blood next year including possibly Vesalainen and Lemieux. If we go out in Game 7 in a close one, all of these guys can hold their heads high, and have a chip on their shoulder for next year, just like Nashville has a chip this year. The Oilers had a great team in the 1980's, but they didn't really get anywhere for the first few years in the playoffs with their young core either, and in 1983 they got beat in the finals by a much more experienced New York Islander team, who knew what it took to win at that level. It takes awhile for these young guys to truly see the sacrifice and hard work it takes to get far in the playoffs.

My new theory is that in addition to Putin, Israel has something to hold over Trump's head. They have an extremely good intelligence service.

  3. I know they weren’t big changes, but why did we shuffle the lines after a 6-2 win?

  4. Not resigning Hurl was the best move to solve the MLB situation.

  5. Regardless of the outcome on Thursday, competitive hockey, and quality playoff hockey is back in Winnipeg. This team has tons to be proud of. But the last thing we want is them having been up 3-2 and then shitting the bed... (like against the Oilers in Jets 1.0). Too many bad memories. If we lose Thursday, I hope it's in Triple OT. If we win Thursday, I hope it's a slaughterhouse so I get a good nights sleep.

  7. People wanted to run Maurice out of town after last season......they have had a great season under his direction this year and are battling against a good team with a huge amount of playoff experience. They are now going into a game 7. If it was an easy job all the arm chair coaches here would be in the NHL. I guess you now all think Pittsburg should run their coach out of town now.

  8. Man, this series is so weird. Didn't like what I saw last night, but last time the Preds red-rovered them, the Jets answered smartly the next game. Bring on Game 7, and go Jets!

  9. Fixed that for you.

  10. The talk before the game... Can you point out which Jet or coach was talking like it was a foregone conclusion? I'm not sure experience matters that much. The Preds were the top team in the league this season and went to the finals last year. Yet, the Jets have pushed them to elimination. How could that be? So, you're saying the loss is on the players and coach? Interesting.

  11. My take: There is no point in hammering pucks into the corner if the wingers aren't going to go after them hard. This is a good fore-checking team - now that they really need to do it, it doesn't seem to be there. When they took over game 5, they literally had their way with Subban and the other D behind the net and along the boards. What happened to that in game 6? In my opinion, Rinne wasn't great in game 6, but he didn't have to be. The Jets did not have very many good scoring chances.

  12. The sky is falling! Just kidding! I personally think Maurice got outcoached last night. Nashville gets up early then locks it down. There was no adjustment. We stuck to our game plan worse than a CFL coach when things clearly weren't working. Continuously tried carrying it in instead of hammering it into the corner. That being said, it was one game and I don't want maurice canned or anything - he coached us to our best record ever. If at the beginning of the year if we were told we would be in game 7 of round 2 against the presidents trophy winner we would all be ecstatic regardless of the outcome. We can expect at least a bounce back game and effort next game and hopefully Helle is on lock, veterans push this team to be their best and our young guys respond. If that happens I think we win.

Probably many people and nations do. Just look at his reaction to all the women that have accused him of sexual harassment/assault and even the ones who claim a consensual relationship. He lies and lies and lies. If anyone has any evidence of him sleeping with someone, they know he will do anything to avoid it coming out. And the Steel dossier, everything that can be proven has been proven true and nothing has been proven false. And its not just sex and hookers and whatever, his business dealings...he can't have anyone who knows anything going to authorities. If the Stormy lawsuit proceeds, Trump is in big trouble because if he wants to keep lying, he's going to be subject to a deposition and whats he going to do then? Lie under oath? The biggest thing with Rudy is him saying Trump wont speak to Mueller because of a "perjury trap". How is telling the truth a perjury trap? It isnt, unless you have already lied like crazy or you know you will keep lying. It doesnt even matter what Trump has said in tweets or interviews. When he sits down under oath or with the FBI, he just has to tell the truth then and no perjury. Rudy treats this like its an accepted normal thing that Trump cannot speak without perjuring himself. Its absurd.

  14. I think they're being outworked. The whole team was last night imo. The level of hustle Nashville had in their game was crazy.

  15. I was actually more nervous about last night's game, less so about games played in Nashville, the Jets have played well there and I do expect then to come out strong from the get go, OT would be a crazy way to finish the series and intense.

  16. Have faith, we're going to win the seventh game. The two best teams in the league are slugging it out now, as much as we wanted it over quick, going seven in this series was predictable. Watch it go into OT for the seventh game, how stressful will that be . . .

  17. The talk from who? Did any of the coaches/players say that? I agree it falls on everybody, not "Maurice and no one else".

  22. Billions is back for season 3, better than ever! Also The Terror is a well done series on the lost Franklin Expedition produced by Ridley Scott, highly recommended. The story is intriguing enough and very well played, however they decided to throw a super-natural element into the story for some bizarre reason.

  23. With JSK I think we will have that MLBer. If gause turns out to be a player he has the potential too. But no matter who we start it wont be as bad as kuale, err hurl... I hope? We seem to do a bang up job of picking the worst MLBers possible.

  25. I couldn't believe how Nashville had 5 guys lined up screening Rinne in a perfect line.. TSN was mocking them in saying how ridiculous it was and called it the flying V (mighty ducks)

  26. I agree 100% - get a real MLB that plays like a MLB and let our safety play like a safety instead of covering up for a weak MLB - and the entire D backfield will look better.

  27. I think Heath not being back next year is being overrated on these boards. The #1 problem was an MLB who played like a DL, a Safety who played in the box most of the time, and then a gap created at the traditional safety position. Get Loffler out of the box and wreaking more havoc with receivers - suddenly the entire backfield is looking better.

  30. It's a lot easier to be a pessimist because 8 out 9 teams don't win the Grey Cup so you've got an 8/9 chance that the "sky is falling" mentality will turn out correct and you get to pat yourself on the back for that sweet, sweet dopamine hit.

  36. Yeah I see a lot of flawed logic in that statement...some people do actually have a good idea of the inner workings..locker room dynamics..playing the game outside of being behind a keyboard..
