What value is picking up a quarterback at this point? By the time that guy gets up to speed, Nichols is going to be back. People around here complain all the time about us 'not developing a quarterback' or not using the late stages of games to get these guys experience .. here we have an opportunity, albeit under less than ideal circumstances, to give valuable reps and game experience to the guys on our roster, guys we've committed to. I say roll with the guys we have.

I’d love to see Durant return and be given the starting assignment for game 1. First play on offence the oline moves aside and let’s Edmontons front seven nail him. That would definitely get a better cheer than the one when Austin got hurt and Slingin Sammy came in. I believe Austin gave the crowd the finger while leaving the feild as the crowd chanted “Sammy Sammy”. This oline would get a standing ovation if they let Durant get pasted. To be honest Durant is so fat and out of shape I’d be surprised if he even beat out Bennett for the number 3 spot.

Montreal went 9-9 with this as their QB depth: 15 Alex Brink 18 Jonathan Crompton 4 Tanner Marsh Anything is possible.

Or how about this, when a guy goes down holding his knee the first thing everyone does is panic cause it might be an ACL, The team didn't say ****, their message was always "we will get it checked out and see what the story is" They came out and said 4-6 weeks in short order, there's no playing here, just over zealous people wanting to write off Nichols for the year, and why not, makes for easier articles for people to write "who can the bombers trade for?" massive speculation and talking points. The CFL media by and large is only concerned with the low hanging fruit.

I would think it's pretty clear that if Ross struggles and cannot move the ball and Streveler comes in continuing to move the chains like he did last game that he would start the 1st week.

I agree. I identify as conservative because that's how I have voted for years. I've voted Liberal as well. But Im socially liberal. Gay marriage, Im all in. Legalized pot? Absolutely. Legalize prostitution too, while you're at it. Be kind to the earth. But don't sell out our economy or national interests for left wing special interest groups that dont believe the "sky is falling" like they claim. Small government. But take care of people. Social safety nets is what makes us a great people. I want my income taxes low (I want them zero actually). But Ill pay user fees and GST taxes. Public, universal health care. But work with the private sector to deliver some of it and make it more efficient. I've never voted for a person or party that I agreed with 100%. If someone does, I call BS.... I vote based on the things I do agree with and how important those things are to me. Im all for religion too. But in a common sense way. There is nothing wrong with being a part of a generous, helpful, supportive community that provides a nice set of ideals to live by. But not at the expense of hurting other people or denying them their rights. So I dont know what that makes me. I guess Im a Common Sense-evist. One thing Im not is a white nationalist. After reading @johnzo posts last year about it I also used a server from the Netherlands, but my plan this year is to look at the list of available countries and favourite them in my VPN (I use IPVanish) so I can just choose whichever has the lowest latency at the time. The only issues I had with the stream were on my end. I live in Northern Alberta and my internet speeds would routinely drop below 5 Mbps. When my internet speed was even marginally higher than that the stream was great. Over the winter we were ungraded to lightning fast 15Mbps (sadly that is considered fast for our neck of the woods) so I'm expecting no issues this season. Sorry, don't know about bandwidth. Like @johnzo said, there was one game that didn't show up in the archive until much later but other than that my experience was they showed up within an hour or two, often sooner, after the game ended, and the vast majority of the games I watched were archived. The Bomber pass is perfect for someone like me who only has time to watch the Bomber games, and usually from the archive rather than live. Not sure if TSN will allow you to watch archived games or not, but if that's not a big deal and/or if you want to watch all the games then TSN might be a better option.

I honestly can't recall the last time a D decisively shut down a half decent O, gave up less than 20 pts. and won the game on their own merit, those memories seem to be from a different era when teams relied more heavily on the running attack. The only recent examples I can think of is when a team is handicapped by inexperienced or pathetic QB play and spends the majority of the game going 2 and out and giving the ball away consistently, do those really count as staunch D victories? I'd like to see a D dominate a game to the point of winning it, but I won't believe it's a viable possibility until I do.

Ok, so that’s 7 weeks of recovery time for Nichols, including this week.. I’ll be going to that 2nd BC game and I expect to see Nichols as the starter. - 5 weeks. But don’t worry, I’ll check with both John Hodge and Rod Pedersen first..

We just don't know what we have at QB. This will be a week to week thing.

I don't think it's a good idea, pre season Is a good tool for coaches to use on evaluating the depth players.

All year long i had Vegas picked as phonies. They go to finals and i bet on them.

I used a Netherlands VPN. Streams maxed out at 720p. Don't know how much bandwidth that translates into. Didn't have outages that I remember .... the main hassle was waiting for games to show up in the on-demand archive. There was at least one game that didn't show up in the archive. Yaretv tech support was not super good. At $80 for the season plus ~$10/mo for the VPN, you're looking at $140ish for the season .. not a huge savings over TSN streaming if you've got the option of using either one. But if you just want to stream Bomber games or the odd single game, yaretv is way better.

I was pretty stoked when we signed Durant, I'd always been a fan of his, at his best he made plays that no other CFL QB could. But yeah as of today I'd rather start the season 0-6 than see him signed as an emergency starter.
