  1. Helps when Bighill isn't running a lousy blitz package right up into the A/B's. Watching him roam free from both the hashes to the back of the box, is much better.

  6. I like these discussions. So keep it up. Keeps me from migrating to other sites for content. I worry that BC will have a bounce back game and the blown coverage Jennings missed on last weekend won’t be missed this time around. I think we have a good chance to take the win if the defence continues to pressure Jennings/Lully and our offence can keep moving the ball down the field eating up the clock. We have an immensely talented team but I think DC is the sore spot that is the last remaining piece before we are the next generations Calagary team.

  11. I really hope Lulay doesn’t play... not because he necessarily makes them that much better... but because he’s too great of a player and too great of a person to have his career end being peeled off the field behind that garbage o-line...

Alright, most defiantly not. Btw...... between coming from the mid-east, his appearance, claiming that his wife is a virgin, having a undocumented baby and sounding like a socialist.....Joseph might of had a pretty rough time at the border.....

  16. The only way we lose is if our dline and dvd fall asleep and drop in play. I've seen more then enough if Jennings to be convinced that any kind of pressure on him will result in those errant throws. I think we win again and Lulay gets the second half.

  18. at this point its improved over last year. and the biggest improvements to be made are more chemistry in the secondary and coaching. We are middle of the pack in a bunch of stats and among the best in a few big ones. But small ones, like most completions given up (worst) big plays given up (7th) yards given up (worst) and first down conversion splits are extreme outliers. (we have the best defense against teams trying to convert a first down with 4-6 yards, but 7-10 and 1-3 are middle to bottom tier) This points to our strategy. It is a bit early for deep delving into stats though (small sample size) Also the switch in starting qbs skews things on offense. It is a bit worry some that we have a very low YPC, but also low pass completion % compared to the rest of the league. With our offensive system we should be among the highest pass % teams if not the highest. But again qb switch and all. Whats even more interesting is that our eff soars as we pass deeper down field. Second best on 10-19 yard depth then head and shoulders better then every one else on 20+ yard passes. https://d3ham790trbkqy.cloudfront.net/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/2018-CFL-Statistics-to-Week-4.pdf

  20. And atleast one of goosen running down field and pancaking the crud out of some one too. hardrick and the young nucks have continued to really improve. Bryant is steady as ever. i dont know if any other bomber loves playing the game as much as hardrick does. This isnt about a jump to the nfl, or the next contract or any thing but fun. That man loves him some football. And you cant help but love him for it.

  27. Its Uber's choice not to accept unreasonable conditions. The fact they exist in so many markets but MPI thinks we are special is ludicrous. Its purely political. That map shows the over-whelming desire of Winnipeggers to have Uber. The fact is, the taxi companies have known about Uber potentially coming here for years and their effort was in lobbying government to stop it and making Uber out to be a boogeyman to the people. Not making their service better, safer and more reliable. A friend was in Cali last weekend and used Uber for the first time and reacted like I did the first time (in vegas last year)...its a revelation.

  28. I believe Richie Hall will retire for medical reasons this off season and Jordan Younger will get a promotion to the DC. When I see Richie walking on the field before the games he is getting to the point where he can hardly walk out there. Or at least it looks like he is some kind of pain. Call me crazy but this is what I think is going to happen.

  32. If Jennings plays, the Bombers should win, if Lulay plays, not sure. (if he can make it through the whole game) Not sure beating B.C. led by Jennings, and Montreal, mean that much as far as the defence goes. I suspect that the defence can still be beaten by any of the league's good quarterbacks.

  36. From 3downnation: (And I wonder about his sex life) Argos work out former Pro Bowl returner Dexter McCluster Posted on July 10, 2018 by Justin Dunk // 8 Comments The Toronto Argonauts worked out American running back and returner Dexter McCluster on Tuesday. All signs point to the Argos signing the pint-sized playmaker. McCluster was a second-round pick, 36th overall in the 2010 NFL Draft by the Kansas City Chiefs. The 29-year-old ran a 4.53 40-yard time, 4.06 short shuttle, 6.73 three-cone, 37.5-inch vertical and 20 reps on the bench press at the 2010 NFL Combine. He played seven seasons in the NFL for the Chiefs, Titans and Chargers rushing 250 times for 1,042 yards and two touchdowns, recording 236 receptions for 1,933 yards and seven touchdowns, returned 74 kickoffs for 1,554 yards, 133 punts for 1,388 yards and three touchdowns. 2013 was McCluster’s best year in the NFL when he earned a trip to the Pro Bowl as a returner after producing 686 punt return yards and two touchdowns. McCluster played collegiately at the University of Mississippi, he rushed for 1,169 yards and eight touchdowns while catching 44 balls for 520 yards and three touchdowns, totalling 1,689 yards and 11 touchdowns as a senior for the Rebels, earning first-team All-SEC (Southeastern conference) honours. McCluster has been out of pro football since 2016 when he suffered a broken forearm while looking for his cellphone.

  41. Yes. We will win. Why? Because we are better than they are. That's the bottom line.. Back to back is irrelevant and a talking point in sports... The better team will win.

  42. If you dont have a premier return man who is a threat to go all the way on every single return, the next best thing is a guy who gets under the ball, catches every single one he can and never goes backwards. Not saying that is cooper, but we dont need an impressive second returner. We need that steady smart lunch box return man imo.

  44. "I'm saying that we haven't beaten anyone of note yet, just the bottom two teams in the league". = downplaying the Bombers accomplishments " the Riders are crappy because they've only beaten eastern teams, yet we couldn't beat Hammy and they did." = suggesting that the Riders are on the same level. I even colour coded it for ease of understanding...

  47. Yeah you do have a tendancy to downplay what the Bombers accomplish. The Bombers haven't taken down any titans, but they did quite convincingly kick the **** out of BC and Montreal, as in the game from start to finish was never in doubt. There's winning by a little against bad teams and then there is clearly showing you are better than those shitty teams which the Bombers did.
