  1. Really? A sure handed RB fumbles the ball and you blame the coach? That is on the players, not the coach.

  2. I couldn't hear what your screen name was. I wanted to get you a beer at halftime and did, but with 1:20 to go in the third yoy haven't returned to your seat. It's a large, premium import and it's getting warm. I'm drinking it. Fraternal love, bluto

  3. Nah, those were all physical mistakes, guys dropping balls. That happens, the way it happened really favoured the Argos because the ball bounced to guys with clear path to the endzone.

  5. Have to hand to the D today. No Randle and they held the Argos to nothing offensively.

  6. And yet, we have won something like 25 games with him as OC in 16 & 17 & Matt Nichols has had two very, very good seasons as his qb. We were the highest scoring offense last season. He had a bad game on Saturday but I think it's way too early to think he needs replacing. Personally, I think talk like that is crazy.

  7. Has anyone actually tried to chase Nichols out of town? He has been criticized the last couple games (rightly so).

  10. So poorly coached.

  11. I understand players want to contribute in any way possible - but is anyone else concerned that Bennett plays special teams as our 3rd stringer? Is this common practice throughout the league for 3rd string QBs?

  12. So no Chris Randle today...what's up with that?

  15. Mostly he just needs to take what he wants to call and do the opposite some of the time. That and live and die with his best players. A well-designed run play for Harris on 1st down is never a wrong call. Harris didn't have a meaningful touch after the game was 17-10. That's just crazy.

  16. Of course, people never learn and grow right. We are who we are and never change? Your arguement is so bad it's almost not worth pointing that out. But here goes... Yes, let's look at Bellefeuille. Which CFL team is he the OC for again? Oh yea, no one. Not going to be one again, I'd wager because he's never been anything beyond mediocre in several attempts. But you know what, if we fired LaPolice, I'd bet he'd have no trouble whatsoever finding employment as an OC in this league. None at all, because he's clearly not the same guy he was when he was first with us. Is he the best OC in the league? I don't know but we've had one of the best offences in the league in the past little while. If people want to dump all over Hall because of our D, then people also have to give credit to LaPolice.

  17. If lapo would quit trying to out fox the other team he'd be a lot better. He needs to get out of his own way at times and rather than trying to adjust before the other team stops you adjust after they actually stop it. A lot of times he does the opposing dcoordinator a favour.

  18. How about we Thanos the entire team? Randomly cut/fire half the players and staff. We'll get better. More playing time and work for everyone. We'll be a football paradise....

  20. Also, whether it’s his fault or not, Wilder is another in a long line of rookie year wonders, exalted as the greatest by TSN who will underwhelm for the rest of his career.

  22. 3-3. Could easily be 5-1. Not sure what to think of the year so far.

  23. Ya I agree, D was great. Can't believe how little Trestman uses the run though, especially when he's got two import backs dressed and a kinda thin receiving corps. Bombers never really had a lead so crazy for the amount of time left that they had to abandon the run completely, although the Bombers played it well the 4 times they ran before garbage time.

  39. He is one of, if not the best, offensive coordinator in the league. His offense has consistently been one of the best in the league in points and yards the last couple years. His offense is creative, both in the pass and run game. Look at how he has crafted his game plans for Matt Nichols and Chris Streveler. Dude had a bad game. It happens.

  40. I agree. I liked getting him involved. But then it just seemed like they were forcing it even though it wasn't working all that well.

  42. he has a tendency to out-think himself sometimes (ex. the goal line stand in BC), but overall I'd say Im happy with him. Also, if no more Demski sweeps were called the rest of the way, I'd be fine with that.

  43. Some people just don't like him. Game after game, season after season of league leading, high scoring offence, one bad half, and he gets questioned.
    1 point
  44. I agree with this but to me he also has the tendency to switch it up to try and catch the other guys off guard when he could probably stand do to more of what already worked.

  45. His problem is the opposite. Lapo is a gameplanner. If his plan succeeds he looks like a genius, but he really struggles to move off the plan he's made and the plays he's installed that week. The best offense he coached was in Saskatchewan when Grandpa Miller could give him a kick in the ass and oversee his playcalling. Without that he's been extremely inconsistent right back to the minute he walked into Canada in 2002. Lapo is a C+ coordinator who can be an A+ and an F in the same game.

  46. I feel like he is the least consistent CO in the league. He will have a brilliant half or game and follow it up by forgetting about harris for an extended period, or a chain of trick plays in a poor position, and ive never liked his red zone play calls. And he never makes good use of DIs. That said as a coach I think he is very good. And he does improve each year. Personally im not married to any of our ast coaches. If we had the option of hiring some one better id jump at it. I dont think we will just stumble into a guy that can replace plop though. Not like hall.
