  1. These refs are actually atrocious but here's a legit question - if they can reverse a call AFTER it's been called with one team not having a challenge in their pocket, what on earth is the point of the challenges in the first place? Why is the booth not just reviewing every call and making decisions like that?

  2. Canadians on the Bombers have scored 15 TD the rest of the league combined 15 TD

  3. No more bunk about how we just couldn't incorporate Bowman into our O, please. New guy at R, almost matched Bowman's season production....in his first half, in the CFL.

  4. I think that's the point, isn't it? Calling a trick play when they know it's coming might not be as productive. I think that when you've got some people saying that our OC is too conservative and others saying that there is too much razzle-dazzle that's a good indication that he's probably spot on.

  5. 1. Demski - what a game. Feel like Riders wasted two years of his career by playing him at wideout. He is type of player that needs to be close to the LOS. 2.JSK Adam Bighills biggest impact is his effect on JSK. 3. Mike Miller why did the Eskimos release him he is the best SP teams foot soldier in the league HH Darvin Adams did not have a big night on the stats sheet but was still fully engaged in the game. He blew up some poor Argo on Wolitarskys TD

  6. #2 Thompkins looks like he has some skills. But wtf was he doing when he had both Argo d backs beat and decided to stutter step, get tackled, rather than burning into the end zone? He probably won’t be doing that again.

  7. You'd think Putin was pulling the strings all game. Rewatching the game right now, really don't understand why TSN would put Rider fans like Suiter on commentary during Bomber games, just terribly biased.

  8. Many of those trick plays have several plays you can run off of them. Put it on tape make your opponents game plan it then run plays off it.

  9. 1 - JSK Monster game, all over the field 2 - Demski Coming out game, gives the offense zing 3 - Alexander Made some real big plays, walk the ladder defending that tree HH - Miller Some guys are just meant to play ST's and be great at it

  10. 1 Big-knox. The combo was on fire tonight, but JSK was beasting like never before. 10 tackles 3 sacks. 2 Brandon alexander, A pic and a forced fumble, plus some great, great coverage tonight. 3 Demski, 5 catches 82 yards 1 td + our leading rusher 3 for 34 and another score. HH The reverse on the opening return by petermann. Guy has some jets.

  11. 1. JSK - 10 tackles. 3 sacks says it all 2. Demski - just outstanding. 3. Thompkins - he has like 12 yards less than Bowman did in 6 games HH - Miller. That punt block was Derek Jones vs BC last year esque

  12. I don’t believe I’ve ever seen a reversal of a penalty call made by review when there was no turnover or challenge. I can’t come up with any reason why a penalty was reversed without cause. Why? So, when does the next penalty get reversed and why? What are the parameters? Who makes that decision? I’d be very interested to know what Coach O’Shea has to say about that. Good call or bad call..what? The reviewers can go fishing on plays now? Damned lucky it wasn’t a game changer.

  14. The Ball penalty needs to be called 100% of the time. Way late and how you end up with an injury list full of stars.

  16. Nichols got screwed by his defense and coaching in his 2 playoff games here..look at the stats and how each game went..not on him Any semblance of a defense and no coaching brain farts and most likely we are in both west finals and a good chance one of them we prob would have won

  17. It's not so much Suitor is biased ( & he is). It's how he just goes on & on & on about certain players. Like Jonathan Jennings. He is only one in a long list of qbs he fawns over & keeps telling us how great he is when he clearly isn't. It just gets so tiring listening to the same thing every game.

  19. Would echo most here, with 1-JSK, 2-Demski and 3-Alexander. I was torn on the HH, will give it to Miller but I also thought about Dressler. Smallest guy on the field and continually given some tough routes and runs.

  20. JSK was beast mode. 10 tackles 3 sacks. Hes my 1st star

  21. Can't wait to see what JSK is by the end of this season, he's still learning, but man is he a beast.

  22. Stopped? The ball hits the turf and Adams pulls up nearly a full second before Ball levels him full speed. That's dirty as hell. He still would have hit him if he slowed down but nowhere near that amount of contact and force. Totally unnecessary as the play was obviously over.

  23. Only complaint I have with LaPolice lately is I really don't like his wacky calls on 2nd and anything around 4 or less. You're dominant. Play that way.

  24. Adams is a much better qb than LeFevour.

  25. There is a time and a place for trickery - I just don't understand the logic behind running all the razzle dazzle against a vastly inferior team. You showcase your gadget plays against one of the worst teams in the league - it makes it easier for other (tougher) opponents to sniff it out when you might actually need that play in a game.

  26. Demski and JSK had great games tonight. I never get sick of seeing us beat a team down.

  27. They spend all this money on TNF. hype it all up. Change the in studio panel & Rod Smith does pbp. They pay local bands to entertain us to boost the ratings. Yet, they keep 2of the worst broadcasters on their games. Money not well spent.

  28. Loffler had a good night. Good to see. Hopefully he picks it up in the final two thirds of the season.

  29. By far the worst tonight was Suitor.... even in the last minute brings up Manziel and says it was a close game and blames the refs.... keeps pumping Franklins tires despite him putting up 4 terrible turnovers alone....

  33. Ya and he certainly didn't leave the Als with any QB's when he left. Hasn't developed anyone up here.

  34. Suitor has no clue. He's called him Worlitorsky about three times in a row.

  35. Great drive by Lapo, tons of playaction, tons of misdirection, nothing stupid...TD.

  36. That fake swing to Harris, screen to Demski is a great example of good Lapo. Misdirection, let your players make a play.

  37. Harris could've walked in if Nichols saw him. What a ridiculous play. That's too much.

  41. And you're finding ways to overreact. How come you aren't declaring a definitive win after every minor thing goes right for us?

  44. Revisionist thinking > best thinking. As I recall, there were a lot of people that were happy that signing Durant gave us a veteran backup. I also remember how dismayed people were when he suddenly took off with the money. Funny that. No. I seem to recall a lot of excitement around here when his signing was announced. Yes, it's too bad that they money was wasted, but that's not the fault of Walters. That's just bad luck.

  45. Thanks Captain Hindsight! Both players were heralded as good depth additions when they were signed in the off season.

  46. He wanted him because hes a big target who used to be reliable and able to get open. This year and last, not so much. so we moved on. not quite sure why people are so up in arms about it. it didnt work out. oh well.. next man up. its not like we were losing games because of him or our offense. Bomber fans gonna bomber fan I suppose

  48. Clip from a Jamaal Westerman interview on CFL.ca KC: If you could be stranded on a deserted island with any teammate you’ve ever played with in the CFL, who would it be and why? JW: I would say my brother (Jabar Westerman) but he’s a vegan so we’re not going to be eating any food! It’s going to be all, ‘here’s some berries.’ So maybe not my brother. I also would want my mom to be like, ‘two of my sons are gone.’ So maybe it would be Jake Thomas. We played together in Winnipeg. He’s a really good friend of mine. He would be fun to be on a deserted island with. He’s not that fast so if anything is chasing us, I’ll probably get away. https://www.cfl.ca/2018/07/26/tmi-jamaal-westerman-creature-habit/

  49. You forgot to mention the lack of production from Bowman when he is targeted due to him dropping the ball..... Wolitarsky may not get many targets but at least when he does he catches the ball. And that my friend is the bottom line on why Bowman was moved for a bag of used footballs.
