  1. I'm not sure how anyone who watched that game can put the blame on Adams. He played well enough. Made some costly mistakes, but he wasn't getting a lot of help either. I'm also not sure I'd use how a qb does on passing drill for TV as a reason why he sucks lol. There's plenty of other examples to use for Adams!

  2. Apparently, Jones is eyeing him for their receiving corps.

  3. It is bullshit that Adams gets rail roaded just because Manziel is the new hotness in Montreal, however he needs to quit being such a whiny little ***** about it.

  4. CFL trends  1st Year Player / Most FGs Single Game & Longest Streak: The 7 field goals made by Lewis Ward tied the CFL record for most by a 1st-Year player matching Justin Medlock's 7-of-7 in 2009 and is the most by a true CFL rookie (Medlock was in his first CFL season but was NOT a "Rookie" since he had played in the NFL previously). Medlock made all 7 FG attempts on Aug 14/09 in his first CFL season and like Ward his feat came in CFL career game #6: The longest FG made streak by a 1st Year CFL player was set by Luca Congi in 2006 at 21 in a row:  Duke Williams 100+ in 5 straight: Williams' current run of consecutive 100-yard games has reached 5. With one more this week vs SSK he can get to a level that has been reached only 3 times in CFL history. The last to extend that streak to at least 6 games of 100+ in a row was Jamel Richardson in 2011. Williams has tied the Edmonton record set by Brian Kelly in 1983.  6-game win streaks as a starter: Bo Levi Mitchell has led Calgary to FIVE different win streaks of at least 6 games in his career. Only two other QBs have engineered more of these 6+ game winning runs for their club:  11.3 / 10.2 Pts Allowed: Calgary is challenging a long-held CFL record having allowed only 11.3 total points per game thus far. In the entire CFL Era (1958 to today), the fewest TOTAL points allowed record is held by the 1964 BC Lions at 10.5 per game and followed by Hamilton (1965) at 10.9 ppg against.  2000+ Pace: D'haquille Williams is bidding to become the first 2000+ yard receiver since Allen Pitts had 2,036 yards in 1994. First Full Divisional Week: This game marks the start of the first full 2018 week of nothing but Divisional rivals playing one another. Through Week #7 the West dominated the East 14 wins to 6 with only Ottawa coming through with a winning record. Hamilton, Toronto and Montreal played a combined 16 inter-games and went 4-14 .222.  No of different starters: Ottawa & Saskatchewan have had only 28 different players start at least one game compared to Montreal with the most at 40 players.  Games played milestones ahead: Nearing 100 games ... Justin Capicciotti 99, Dan West 98, Samuel Giguere 97, J.C. Sherritt 97, Sam Hurl 96.  700 Receptions: Weston Dressler has 696 career catches with 3 more to become the 13th player to reach that level. He is also now exactly 200 yards away from reaching 10,000 and his receptions streak is up to 119 consecutive games. - CFL Notes

  5. Nice change from having to debate with the Hurl apologists that 'linebacker tackles don't mean that much, its about gaps...'

  6. Considering knox and bighill are 1&2 for tackles in the league, jovon has flourished with Bighill working beside him.

  10. A small part. Loffler is the type of guy who sells out for big hits. And he has had a lot of whiffs this year, with very few game altering hits. I was at last weeks game and paid most of my attention while we were on D to loffler. What i saw was him seemingly to be slow in decisions and first step. Previously He came up and played a very shallow S position. he made most of our Mlber range tackles while hurl was pushed around by linemen. This year, bighill and jsk are covering more of the middle deep range that loffler covered in the past. When his decision is clear on who to take he does ok. When it isnt, when qbs look him off, when he faces double moves he is struggling. He made some un needed blind side turns rather then speed turning in the direction of the play, etc. What we seem to be doing more of especially in that game, is sending mo deep. On the plays where mo was the deepest man, or we had 2 deep / quarters loffler did a lot better. His best play has come when he is coming up and making plays on ball carriers / pass attempts. Running down hill and laying the wood. Last year we saw more and more teams exploit the lack of deep help. Loffler is best in the box, or at the back end of the box, and under neath on a robber level. Still a good player, if some what limited he just doesnt fit too well right now. We will have to wait and see if he can adapt in his new role or if we can make it easier more with the deeper help from some one else. He isnt hurl bad on the back end by any means.

For now but it's going to nose dive very soon. Things are artificially inflated at the moment, wonder how they will spin this as Obama's fault when the inevitable crash happens.

In last night's game, Adams threw several longer passes which were darned close and on most of those, the receivers muffed the catches or were in the wrong place.

  45. Benching Fenner or using him as a DI would be lunacy. He is one of the best defenders in the league period.

  46. We have always seemed to come out a bit flat after bye weeks under this regime. I dont think that will be the case this time with added leadership and the upstanding defensive personnel. Would love to see fenner come back after the bye week. I hope we keep MO at sam. Move fenner to half. So fenner, and alexander start at half. Randle n fogg at corner. Then Id DI one of cooper and sayles. For my money cooper is more steady and sayles makes more big playes. Id roll with the hot hand and let them fight each week for that DI spot. Id probably lean towards sayles in the spot right now. Another option would be to adjust the ratio to start a nuck else where (wr/dl), put mo back at S (he had a whole bunch of plays where he was the deepest man against toronto with loffler under him) keep feener at sam and play both sayles and cooper as starters. Wouldnt be easy, especially if corney is still out and with how thompkins played. Then loffler would rotate in at Lber.

Why? What does he do as a quarterback that makes you think he's going to develop into anything beyond an athlete who can run around a bit? He's not exactly a raw rookie, yet the only passing play he has is run around and heave it hoping for the best... I said it before, I will say it again, he's like a shitty Michael Bishop.

  49. Chris Jones and stupid enough tho does seem to go well with each other don't you think? They are in dire need of DB's, so he brings in an NFL retread who is 33 and hasnt played in 2 years...does that not exude stupid enough??
