You fire a HC when he loses continually. In this case, no results after 5 seasons. Losing the room has nothing to do with it. Lots of popular coaches have been fired in the past. This is supposed to be a performance based business, after all.

To me it looks worse on the tv when the team is losing and all the fans are just sitting there looking stunned.... a good booing now and then let's everyone know the fans are still connected

One team did beat us, but it wasn’t them.. - I think l LaPo knows an awful lot about offensive playmaking. Unfortunately, he applies more of the awful than the playmaking. There’s a severe difference between what he knows and how he uses that knowledge. - Mr. Nichols. As we are seeing, he is a somewhat limited QB. He needs lots of support to have a decent game. And he has provided decent games. But he hit the lowest of lows last game. He was stripped of the veneer of a smart, efficient QB. Hard talk and film study will only get you so far, and as we now realizing, we may not be going far at all. - The combination of LaPolice and Nichols. - From the BC game until this last fiasco, we have seen an offence that gets stymied easily and finds no way to find a way to keep our offence on the field. 7 losses. Half of which could have been avoided with just a few first downs in each game. Pitiful. - I don’t believe I’ve ever seen 2 pick six TDs, in the red zone, by Linemen. Total disaster and a sign of a flailing ball club. I feel sorry for the players who are playing hard and watching their season getting flushed. - Tell me, is there a default setting in LaPolice’s offence? Because it seems when things look to be working, the plays default back to predictable calls or head scratching calls.. - Saskatchewan- held to 6 FGs.. 18 points. Plus the 2 TDs we gave them. What I want to know is who’s messing with me? - The more I watch CFL games and the offences those teams run, for the most part, the less I think of LaPo’s play calling..bottom third in the league. - And to think I thought Nichols was a better QB than Masoli.. - 17 is not a friendly number for the Bombers..either getting stuck at that number on offence or donating to the opposition. - And finally, time for O’Shea to be more of a hard ass. His coaching style is wearing thin.

It's the CFL man, it can change in a heart beat. a month ago Rider fans were on the verge of a revolt and were pretty much ready to run Chris Jones out of town on a rail. All of a sudden it's happy fun times in that province. Starts with one game at a time. Come back from the bye and beat Montreal then you're not on a 4 game losing skid anymore, you're on a 1 game winning streak. Then you worry about sneaking out a win in Edmonton, and contrary to popular belief the Esks are not unbeatable. Do that and you're on a 2 game winning streak Pull that off and you're back to .500. It's not the craziest thing in the world. Then they have a very beatable RIder team and after the way the Riders acted this past weekend I would expect a very motivated Bomber team. Things are not as dire as they seem, just gotta clean up mistakes and remove Lapos head from his ass and they can get back to winning some games.

Now Hail Mary time..... But pass out of bounds, 15 yds short of end zone will not get it done. Bombers done. The D really hung in there today, making a number of big plays to stop Rider drives The O? What we have here is a failure to execute. Play calls, drops...bushel of picks.. Must win game and must bounce back game for Nichols. Double fail. 4th straight loss. Took a lot of mistakes to get swept by this Rider team. Bombers certainly well up to that task Managed to get this Odds and Sods out, in a relatively calm manner.... ....while drinking my gin ferociously.

Isn't it human nature to release your emotions at sporting events? When the team is doing well, you're happy, you cheer, when the team does poorly what are you supposed to do? Detach your emotions from the team and not care? Of course I just sit there observing no matter what is happening, but for you full-humans out there, cheering and jeering is a two-way street. Perhaps now as his performances have worsened, Nichols will learn this. For those of you who are against booing that's your prerogative, now don't try to take away someone else's freedom of expression.

I am new to the CFL game this year and picked the Bombers as my team even though I'm from New Jersey. Nobody can accuse me of being a front-runner!!!

Hey...Schmoes last year...what lost 6 or 7 in a row...and looked way more brutal than this team in doing so, with both teams having injuries during it...and they ended up just fine and were in West Final Re-group over bye..Get Hardrick and Dressler back...Harris rested...maybe re-evaluate a few areas, possibly bring in a new guy who is proven ....and continue on and get hot when it counts The season is no way shape or form a lost season right now...people gotta chill...it's frustrating and all...but cmon man

Kyle Walters is the man in charge of this team. He hires the scouts, he hires the coach, it all goes back to him because he is the one in charge. I am also going to call bullshit on Ross being 3rd string and no discovering Streveler. Streveler was coming to camp regardless and he probably still would have beaten Ross for a spot, we just wouldn't have seen him play this year, which is very normal for your development qb.

Bring in another head coach but have no QB and he gets fired and repeat.. MOS is not the issue... His OC and QB is. You fire BOTH Hall and Lapo long b4 u fire the coach who hasn't lost the room. You wanna see the team really go to ****? Fire the head coach they all believe in. You fire the OC who has been fired twice b4 here.. You fire the DC... Sports isn't about a good environment or players liking you or about protecting your players. It's about winning games, playoffs and championships. O'Shea became our HC in 2014. He's below .500 in wins and hasn't even won a playoff game yet. Rick Campbell and Chris Jones also became HC's in 2014. Both have won Grey Cups. Jones took an equally bad Riders team to the one the O'Shea inherited to the playoffs and won a playoff game in his 2nd year. Jason Maas and Dave Dickenson became HC's in 2016. Both have winning records and have won playoff games. Campbell, Jones, Maas and Dickenson's teams are all ahead of us in the standings this year. Not making the playoffs, or not winning a playoff game should be a firing offence this year.

Basically. I think Nichols is playing to the pressure from the media right now. A good QB that is really forcing it because things are not going well for the team.

Does Walter bring in players with or without HC/Asst Coach input...? Is Adarius and Durant on Walters... both prob paid big signing bonuses then gone for nothing... if Durant was still here, we would be finished and we'd run another year without discovering Streveler - Alex Ross would still be our 3rd QB... plus no Adam Bighill Bowman, Dressler and Adams are all basically guaranteed not to play a full 18 games... Neufeld instead of Bond... Legit concerns...

Fair enough, my point still stands though, currently the bombers are in control of their own destiny - and do not need outside help. I agree though that things look dire, but it's just been alot of doom and gloom around here lately. Further to my earlier point of all hope not being lost =after 12 games, last years' Grey Cup champs (the Argos) were also 5-7. The Redblacks the year before (2016) were slightly better at 6-5-1, my point is simply that the Bombers are still very much in the playoff race, despite their current efforts to be down and out. In the CFL it isn't how you start, it's how you finish...just look at the 2011 BC Lions.

I believe Bighill is here just because of Oshea... same with Miller, Okpo, Miles, Nevis Hurl was 100% a Hall pick and project... I also believe that Osh/Walters let Lapo have too much influence on Walters' choice of players... I think Walters and Osh aren't independent enough actually... the guys seemingly connected to Danny Mac, Richie Hall, Lapo, Goveia and Rigmaiden are all kind of just not that great Danny Mac's connections were particularly awful actually - Walters could lose his job much like Osh because of their assistants

It is interesting that people necessarily believe that being an Assitant Coach or a Co-Ordinator makes some one qualified to be a HC? The other interesting thing is how a name gets thrown around and it then develops traction. Why do HCs get recycled? Because the notion is they have experience and therefore it is less risk then rolling the dice on a new guy.

Durant handed us a gift-wrapped Adam Bighill... I'm eternally grateful. If Durant was starting, we'd be totally finished, he was garbage the last two years... and Walters would be fired mid-season.

I think it's just a matter of time as I just can't see this team coming back but fire MOS at season's end.

I can't believe they got a 3rd rounder for Jackson. TBH I think he was about to be cut the week the Argos activated McCluster and then McCluster got injured and Jackson got back on the roster.

Toronto has had quite a few changes since last season, not the least of which is the loss of Ray for the entire season. A Ray-lead team would have 6 wins at this point.

No team in CFL history has kept a head coach for more than 4 seasons without at least one playoff victory. The Bomber organization has been extremely patient with him. Make the playoffs and win at least one game or you are done. Simple.

I'm a realist. This team hasn't delivered a championship in 28 years. The current staff hasn't even delivered a playoff win in 4 and likely 5 seasons. I get that it's probably less aggravating to be naive about the state of the team and blissfully float along thinking success is merely a corner away. But the track record of this club, management, and coaching staff say otherwise.

Barring a miraculous finish to the season, this club has played itself, under the guidance of Mike O', to the brink of another failed year...Just a sniff of that type of finish is enough for the average fan to feel dejected....It's taken too long to show Cup contending results already...Another bad finish will most likely seal the fate of the head coach..How long does this management think fans are going to wait for results???This is a business after all and we're far off the mark in the success dept....Bringing back Mike for another shot after missing the post season, or creeping into a crossover, just won't be on...Could we surprise everyone and make an unexpectedly good Cup run??...Maybe...but the odds of us getting to the promised land with a qb. who has plainly lost it are very small...So the writing is on the wall and I know the faithful fans of this club can read it...These last few games are going to be crunch time for this regime...Finish badly and the writing on the wall will turn to 'that's all she wrote' for this coach...The way I see it

And yet they didn't give up a TD that entire game and gave the offense two drives in the final two minutes. Your expectations might be a bit out of whack or maybe you're so biased against Hall you can't give a fair evaluation.
