I was at practise today (September 18)...here are my observations regarding how we lined up OLine Bryant Neufeld Goosen Chungh Hardrick (Couture 6th man) QB Nichols all 1st team scrimmage reps RB Harris with LaFrance backing up. Flanders doesn't look like he'll be on the game-day roster, (no 1st team reps and no ST reps) RECEIVERS Adams Dressler Demski Thompkins Wolitarsky (Peterman and Simonise in reserve) Washington doesn't look like he'll be on the game-day roster, (no 1st team reps) DLine Roh Bryant Nevis Oka (Thomas and Rivers rotating in) LB JSK Bighill Gaitor at SAM (reps were about a 70/30 split with Gaitor and Fenner) SECONDARY Priester Alexander Loffler Sayles Randle (reps were about a 70/30 split with Priester and Fogg) PUNT cover notable Briggs and Bennet are upbacks Fenner and Randle the gunners Wild still playing on the team PUNT return notable Demski and Fogg getting reps... Like it or not you would want your commander and chief to come across as self assured and confident....anything else would be perceived as weakness. The expectation that press releases or conferences will divulge anything other than the usual predictable sports cliches is unrealistic

He's playing 'the character' of a failed bomber GM/coach who now hangs out on a football forum... in the hopes of demonstrating some kind of point to us all. It seems that point is that every other team makes good decisions and has good players and the bombers don't and haven't ever - except in 2009.

Not talking about you, but there are people here who seem to have flipped from cheering for the Bombers to cheering for certain people to be fired. It's the same people as always. They are just the type of fans who only show up when things are miserable and they cheer for firings cause that's the type of fan they are. I feel sorry for them truthfully. Going through life that angry and miserable....

I think we gotta go further back than that, cause they turned on Khari too, they turned on Bell, they turned on everyone who played before Bell showed up. That's the way Bomber fans are. Fickle bunch with not patience for anything.

Can't put the blame wholly or even largely on Pipkin. He got no protection from his O-line and little help from his receivers. I am not sure that his coach knows what a "rouge" is yet If the Bombers manage to lose what is a close to a gimme game, they will deserve whatever scorn and derision they would get. Nothing less than a good old-fashioned ass-whupping of the hapless Als will do.

Taking first team reps at today's Als practice. Gotta hand it to the Als, Pipkin didn't have a great game & now they bench him? Kid isn't even given the chance to redeem himself. If he struggles, put in Manziel. If not, keep playing him. They're destroying Pipkin's confidence because Kavis was stupid enough to mortgage the future for the next 2 seasons. If it was me, I wouldn't bench him. At least not yet. I think he deserved one more game to get back on track.

Would love to see the team use that spot to take a look at a speedy receiver/ returner. I believe we picked up one guy yesterday fitting that mould.

We need to spend more time rubbing our hands with glee, anticipating the inevitable, glorious and decisive victory over Montreal .... rather than all of this pithy speculation. Am I doing this right?

The de situation seems weird to me. When Jeffcoat went down, we had to sign some guy off the street and dress him a few days later so we could have enough guys for our regular rotation. Why wouldn't we have at least one guy on the pr ready to go?

if Nichols is having even a half decent game, O'Shea will let him ride it out to the full extent and try and build up any shred of confidence he can. It's clear Streveler is going to be nothing but an absolute last resort.

All accounts are Stanley is slow. Maybe it’s relative to the overall high team speed of the Jets. But saying that those sane accounts have him looking solid and making good plays. Lol. The last two QBs the Bombers played making debuted or had minimal starts was Ryan Lindley and Andrew Buckley they pounded both of them.

Holy ****. I sometimes think I'm too negative here calling for the firing of MOS & his staff if things don't improve which truly bothers me but you take the cake. I at least, hope the Bombers turn it around while you hope they lose every game by 50 points. It's crazy some of the things you say while pretending to be a Bomber fan, my God. For numerous reasons, I hope Johnny Football has a terrible game.

When the backup unequivocally takes the job. Streveler didn't do that against the Riders.

For a miracle comeback to happen, the Bombers would have to have better coaching, a viable quarterback (and Nichols has been declining for a year now) and a couple-three receivers who scare the opposing defences. So far, we are zero for three on this.

So... fire everyone? Ok. So right now, who would you hire? This offseason who's available?

This will be an interesting second half. Waiting to see which offence will hand the game to the other. I call the odds even in this game both are pretty weak teams right now.

And so far they are 0 for 2, haven’t beaten a .500+ team, and BC is playing very well defensively and have a much more threatening set of receivers. The Bombers have to start walking the walk now because the rest of the west is currently jogging into the horizon. People talk about winning a few more games. Well they are gonna have to do better than that because BC has the upper hand right now and certainly will be winning more games.

Who knows? He is demonstrably stubborn and resistant to change.

I wouldn't be shocked if MOS was an arrogant, smug prick in real life. He certainly gives that impression off on the sidelines , but I wouldn't gamble a dollar on it because who knows how people are in RL. I will gamble a lot on this statement though: MOS is on the lower end of the 9 coaches in the league for competence and intelligence. He strikes me as remarkably bad at making critical choices and decision making in crunch time, suggesting he's not exactly a world class thinker.
