There is nothing scary about this version of the Riders, without the miscues of their opponents they wouldn't even have half of those wins. They will be royally embarrassed come playoff time no matter who they face.

I think this table is worth posting. Look at that middle-income gain for Republicans. Incredible. Of course, when the crash comes, they will be the hardest hit. I would love to see the MSNBC coverage that made Trump out to be worse than Hitler. That would be something to behold. I did see Fox News edit Trump's speech to the UN yesterday to not show the part where the world leaders laughed at him. That was in keeping with state media mantra.

  5. Okay, here's what I'm thinking... The Bombers manage the stadium but have zero means in which to pay for the necessary capital investments and repairs. Triple B, which is actually responsible for the stadium, has zero means to pay for capital investments and repairs. The new agreement, going forward, will be that the Bombers will be responsible, as managers of the stadium, to make all necessary investments and repairs, in lieu of their mortgage payments. They'll need a plan and the cash flow to do so. That plan does not currently exist. This is nothing but a win for all three partners on this deal (Triple B - Bombers, CoW, and the UofM). The taxpayers? Well, that's another debate that I think has already happened and political price has been paid.

I dont believe Mark Judge gave a sworn statement that carries a perjury charge...he should be there. But the Senate is not the FBI. You're conflating a show-hearing where the Senators have already said they plan to confirm Kav regardless, with a legitimate investigation. Why do you fear an FBI investigation? In Maryland, it may not be outside of the Statute. However, the reason the FBI should investigate is because they are the federal investigative agency. They do back ground checks on prospective nominees and will do deeper investigations at the request of the White House. They have the power to do a full investigation. And when you are questioned by the FBI, you are obligated to tell the truth by law. There are too many accusers, witnesses and second-hand, third-hand etc accounts...too much stuff floating around on both sides, to not demand an FBI investigation to weed out the irrelevant stuff and focus on what actually happened. What the White House fears, even in a "he said/she said" is an FBI report that calls Dr Ford "credible". And oddly, we see here supporters of Trump dont want an investigation at all. Imagine being okay with a potential sexual predator and liar being confirmed to SCOTUS. Its not like if Kav s pulled, his replacement will be a liberal...lol The line isnt being drawn at "Republican appointee", its being drawn at "lying, partisan, white nationalist, potential sexual predator." I dont know...seems like a reasonable line to me. Pull his nominee and go on to the next one. Thats why there are confirmation hearings. to weed out crap like this. He's crap. Next.

I haven't heard one reason to support Trump, from a Trump supporter, that is anything but "owning Libs", "but Clinton", and "but the economy". And the economy is rolling, thanks to Obama and Trump's tax cuts, but there is no evidence that it's sustainable due to mounting debt at mid-late '00s levels and inflation due to incoherent trade policies. The fact that white nationalism is on the rise and being promoted from the WH is enough for anyone. The overwhelming evidence that Russia interfered with the election to get Trump elected and the following inaction to prevent them from interfering again. The demonizing of Canada and Europe, while praising dictators like Putin, Kim, Duterte, etc is unconscionable. Everything people warned about has happened or is happening. And, lastly, the constant interference in the Mueller investigation, which continues to get indictment after indictment, plea after plea, is enough to show you what type of person Trump is. He's a coward and bully. And history will show the level of corruption he and his administration have been involved in. No, I'm done with 'Murica and anyone who says, "whatabout..."

  14. Darrin Bauming‏ @DarrinBauming 4h4 hours ago As suspected, Andrew Harris just taking a maintenance day yesterday after leaving Friday’s contest. Today, Harris is back in full gear, running and taking handoffs from Matt Nichols. #Bombers Darvin Adams is in full gear and jumping around this morning after taking an extra day to recover yesterday. Nic Demski, however, is again a non-participant at #Bombers practice. Couple notes on the #Bombers defensive backfield… Kevin Fogg looks to return to the starting lineup after suffering an injury in Regina on Labour Day. Robert Priester, who has started in Fogg’s place, has been mined back to the practice roster. Brandon Alexander practiced yesterday, but today he is a non-participant. Special teams ace Shayne Gauthier is a non-participant for a consecutive day. Kick return specialist Charles Nelson is getting some looks at receiver in the #Bombers offence this morning. Speedy little dude. Daniel Petermann is getting reps in place of Demski.

  15. So I've posed this question to others on other forums when they dismiss the people who are probably going to re-elect Trump in two years, as "ignorant". Do you honestly feel that it's only ignorance that is driving this? Is there no other reason? WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Forty-five percent of Americans now have a favorable view of the Republican Party, a nine-point gain from last September's 36%. It is the party's most positive image since it registered 47% in January 2011, shortly after taking control of the House in the 2010 midterm elections. Forty-four percent give the Democratic Party a favorable rating. https://news.gallup.com/poll/242906/republican-party-favorability-highest-seven-years.aspx

Well just using the supreme court picks in the us... Obama picked a centre-right nominee that everyone agreed was a good pick. Republican controlled Senate wouldn't even give him a hearing or a vote simply because it was an Obama nominee. Now they got a real **** head nominee and from the get go have been avoiding proper vetting and ignoring red flags just to ram him through because he's hard line right enough. There is no olive branch from Republicans. Democrats try and compromise but the Republicans lie cheat and steal their way to the top. The whole party is rotten to the core and there is no working with them.

You posted a "letter" that was a partisan, smarmy attack on the "left" and then when people pointed it out for what it was, you lamented that we cant get along and cant "heal". If you think opposers of Trump need to embrace the perspective of that "letter" to heal, you're being very close minded to what actually divides people.

  30. What are you talking about? Firstly, Im not the "left". Secondly, if you mean the left in general, you're suggesting that they, as the party of understanding and healing should embrace Trump and go along because....why? And the inverse is that the GOP can continue to sow discord because they dont claim to be understanding? lol I guess it would be easier for Trump supporters if people who object to his white nationalism just accepted it. But I dont think thats going to happen. I suppose the left could learn from the right in how to accept a President they dont like, right?

I like Kulikov and hope he can regain his form but two major back issues says its a gamble. Jets arent in dire need of cap relief so its not a concern. But I do agree with Goalie that if you have other players ahead of him, then perhaps its time to waive him. Ideally, you'd trade him but no one will bite without thinking he's at least healthy. So in a perfect world, he regains his form and helps the Jets. Second best scenario is, he regains his form enough to be traded. Next summer, with one year remaining, if the Jets need his cap space they could consider buying him out or do a deal where they send him somewhere (and throw in a pick to sweeten the pot). Josh being a two year deal matches up nicely with Kulikov expiring though.

I'd assume like most big businesses they follow the guaranteed path rather then the "potentially risky" path. This isn't uncommon in other industries. Closest parallel I think is video games... developer catches fire makes a good game... big company buys them out and barfs out the same thing year after year. Original teams leave to be creative somewhere else.... franchise continues on year after year with the same old same old because it's easy guaranteed sales. It sucks.

  39. An American friend sent me this just now...making the rounds on Facebook apparently... DEAR EX-FRIEND,Hey, what’s up. Long time no talk.I think the last civil conversations we had occurred just days before November 8, 2016. You were supremely confident Hillary Clinton would win the presidential election; you voted for her with glee. As a lifelong Republican, I bit down hard and cast my vote for Donald Trump. Then the unimaginable happened. He won.And you lost your freaking minds.I knew you would take the loss hard—and personally—since all of you were super jacked-up to elect the first woman president. But I did not imagine you would become totally deranged, attacking anyone who voted for Trump or supported his presidency as a racist, sexist, misogynistic, homophobic Nazi-sympathizer.The weirdness started on social media late on Election Night, as it became clear Hillary was going to lose. A few of you actually admitted that you were cradling your sleeping children, weeping, wondering what to tell your kindergartner the next morning about Trump’s victory. It continued over the next several days. Some of you seriously expressed fear about modern-day concentration camps. Despite living a privileged lifestyle, you were suddenly a casualty of the white patriarchy. Your daughters were future victims; your sons were predators-in-waiting. You threatened to leave Facebook because you could no longer enjoy the family photos or vacation posts from people who, once friends, became Literal Hitlers to you on November 8 because they voted for Donald Trump.I admit I was a little hurt at first. The attacks against us Trump voters were so personal and so vicious that I did not think it could be sustained. I thought maybe you would regain your sanity after some turkey and egg nog.But you did not. You got worse. And I went from sad to angry to where I am today: Amused. As the whole charade you have been suckered into over the last 18 months starts to fall apart—that Trump would not survive his presidency; he would be betrayed by his own staff, family, and/or political party; he would destroy the Republican Party; he would be declared mentally ill and removed from office; he would be handcuffed and dragged out of the White House by Robert Mueller for “colluding” with Russia—let me remind you what complete fools you have made of yourselves. Not to mention how you’ve been fooled by the media, the Democratic Party, and your new heroes on the NeverTrump Right. On November 9, you awoke from a self-induced, eight-year-long political coma to find that White House press secretaries shade the truth and top presidential advisors run political cover for their boss. You were shocked to discover that presidents exaggerate, even lie, on occasion. You became interested for the first time about the travel accommodations, office expenses, and lobbyist pals of administration officials. You started counting how many rounds of golf the president played. You suddenly thought it was fine to mock the first lady now that she wasn’t Michelle Obama. Once you removed your *bleep* hat after attending the Women’s March, you made fun of Kellyanne Conway’s hair, Sarah Sanders’ weight, Melania Trump’s shoes, Hope Hicks’ death stare; you helped fuel a rumor started by a bottom-feeding author that U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley slept with Donald Trump. You thought it was A-OK that Betsy DeVos was nearly physically assaulted and routinely heckled. You glorified a woman who has sex on camera for a paycheck. You have learned all kinds of new things that those of us who didn’t willfully ignore politics for the past eight years already knew. For example, we already knew that illegal immigrants were being deported and families were being separated. We already knew about misconduct at the Environmental Protection Agency. We already knew that politicians gerrymander congressional districts for favorable election outcomes. We already knew that citizens from certain countries had restricted access here. But American politics became a whole new thing for you. Some of your behavior has been kinda cute. It was endearing to watch you become experts on the Logan Act, the Hatch Act, the Second Amendment, the 25th Amendment, and the Emoluments Clause. You developed a new crush on Mitt Romney after calling him a “sexist” for having “binders full of women.” You longed for a redux of the presidency of George W. Bush, a man you once wanted imprisoned for war crimes. Ditto for John McCain. You embraced people like Bill Kristol and David Frum without knowing anything about their histories of shotgunning the Iraq War.Classified emails shared by Hillary Clinton? Who cares! Devin Nunes wanting to declassify crucial information of the public interest? Traitor! But your newfound admiration and fealty to law enforcement really has been a fascinating transformation. Wasn’t it just last fall that I saw you loudly supporting professional athletes who were protesting police brutality by kneeling during the national anthem? Remember how you fanboyed a mediocre quarterback for wearing socks that depicted cops as pigs? But now you sound like paid spokesmen for the Fraternal Order of Police. You insist that any legitimate criticism of the misconduct and possibile criminality that occured at the Justice Department and FBI is an “attack on law enforcement.” While you once opposed the Patriot Act because it might have allowed the federal government to spy on terrorists who were using the local library to learn how to make suitcase bombs, you now fully support the unchecked power of a secret court to look into the phone calls, text messages and emails of an American citizen because he volunteered for the Trump campaign for a few months.Spying on terrorists, circa 2002: Bad. Spying on Carter Page, circa 2017: The highest form of patriotism. And that white, male patriarchy that you were convinced would strip away basic rights and silence any opposition after Trump won? That fear has apparently been washed away as you hang on every word uttered by James Comey, John Brennan, and James Clapper. This triumvirate is exhibit “A” of the good old-boy network, and represents how the insularity, arrogance, and cover-your-tracks mentality of the white-male power structure still prevails. Yet, instead of rising up against it, you are buying their books, retweeting their Twitter rants and blasting anyone who dares to question their testicular authority. Your *bleep* hat must be very sad.But your daily meltdowns about Trump-Russia election collusion have been the most entertaining to observe. After Robert Mueller was appointed as Special Counsel, you were absolutely convinced it would result in Trump’s arrest and/or impeachment. Some of you insisted that Trump wouldn’t last beyond 2017. You quickly swallowed any chum tossed at you by the Trump-hating media on CNN, MSNBC, the New York Times and the Washington Post about who was going down next, or who would flip on the president. For the past year, I have watched you obsess over a rotating cast of characters: Paul Manafort, Donald Trump, Jr., Jared Kushner, Carter Page, Reince Priebus, Jeff Sessions, Michael Flynn, Steve Bannon, Sam Nunberg, and Hope Hicks are just a few of the people you thought would turn on Trump or hasten his political demise. But when those fantasies didn’t come true, you turned to Michael Avenatti and Stormy Daniels for hope and inspiration. It will always be your low point.Well, I think it will be. Each time I believe you’ve hit bottom, you come up with a new baseline. Perhaps defending the unprecedented use of federal power to spy on political foes then lie about it will be the next nail in your credibility coffin. The next several weeks will be tough for you. I think Americans will learn some very hard truths about what happened in the previous administration and how we purposely have been misled by powerful leaders and the news media. I wish I could see you as a victim here, but you are not. I know you are smart; you chose to support this insurgency with your eyes wide open. Now, I shall sit back and enjoy your pain.Your Ex-Friend,Julie

Regardless everyone who was saying how great we were and how great our talent was say the same things year after year without considering other teams improve as well. Our problem is our coaching and I’ve said it hat from day one! Many said give him a chance and now we have given them, all the coaches, what 4 1/2 years and what do we have to show for it! He still does not have a winning record while the likes of Campbell and jones have out coached him each year and even jones tore up a sask team and rebuilt it in two years....and I’m a bomber fan! It sure says a lot about our head office and more particular our head coach
