Nichols wasn’t the reason we lost 2 playoff games with him at QB; 2017 - 35 out of 48 attempts. 72.92% for 371 yards 3 TDs 0 ints. 2016 - 26 of 40 attempts 65% for 390 yards 2 TDs 0 ints Those numbers are very good.

I don't necessarily think either one of them is a "big time" receiver, but they'd certainly be an upgrade. When you got a group of 7s, you don't pass up an 8 because you're looking for a 10.

Not too long ago, you would have raked a post like this over the coals... how do you know EJ was available? Why do you think a concussed SJ Green is better than Thompkins? We have two NI REC that should end up with 600+ yards - why is Armanti Edwards better than that? Nichols went into a ridiculous funk for four games... we literally gave away two games to the Riders otherwise we'd be in 2nd place and everyone would be planning the Grey Cup parade ha... If the old Nichols is actually back, anything is possible this year... haven't seen parity like this in a long time

By your horribly flawed logic, other high salaried players on this team aren't worth their salaries, either - because they didn't win in the playoffs. That's not how it works, though. How many more times do you have to trot out that invalidated narrative? A win is a team accomplishment and while Nichols has been terrible to mediocre at best this season, he did more than enough in 2016 and 2017 to contribute to this team's success, especially in the playoffs. You seem to ignore the stats whenever they're posted, so here they are again: 2 GP, 61/88 (69.3 COMP%), 761 yards (380.5 YPG), 5 TDs. From an individual standpoint, those are the kinds of numbers you need from a QB come playoff time. Furthermore, had he maintained his level of play from the previous two seasons (among the best pivots in the league), he'd certainly be earning his salary in 2018. But the reality is not the case and the WFC will have a hard decision to make looking ahead to 2019.

Was hoping to get another receiver in here but I'm not too worried about it either way. Our chance at the playoffs and/or in the playoffs was always going to rest on the players we already have here. If Nichols and the receivers play well, we're dangerous. If not, pack up the lockers.

While it was show boating...there was also under 2 mins left. So running the clock was a smart move as much as I hate to admit it. The body language of the Esks while he was doing that spoke a lot. Not a single player followed him. Your season is on the line, a guy is walking into the end zone literally making fun of the situation...and you all give up? Play to the whistle! Players dropping the ball in that situation isn't that uncommon, at the very least maybe you can get a hit in...I don't know I was surprised not a single esks player took that personally.

I figure if Nichols performs back to where he was previously and gets us in the play-offs, and does well to give us the chance to win (can't fault him if he puts up 30+ points..no turnovers, yet the defense drops the ball) and has his mojo back in doing it , then there is no reason to have him back at TC...but it should be an open competition with him and Streveler, and the starter should be named after TC based on who looked the best, and gives the offense the best chance to be productive...past performance/tenure/loyalty should be tossed out window and we have to roll with who outright wins it. If Nichols is a 440k back-up...so be it as Strev's entry level contract salary and Nichols salary would be the same toward the cap regardless and what better option to have on the bench is a guy like Nichols if Streveler gets hurt, or struggles. Off-season of 2019 is when the hard decisions will have to be made in terms of QB is Streveler proves in year 2 he is the real thing..I think he is so will be interesting to see how it plays out

Yeah ratings are down but they are down across the board anyway. But it seems like its been downhill since Negan cap'd Glenn/Abraham. Last year was sloppy and biker guy was hardly in the show. IMHO should have ended it after last season.

It would make far more sense to give us incentives to reduce rather than taxing, imo. It's going to cost me $20G to put solar panels on my roof through my local Hydro supplier and a carbon tax on top of that regardless if I have the panels or not? What a deal, sign me up. How about just rewarding me instead to reduce my carbon footprint? Why not just give me a discount on my utility bills for using less and other green initiatives?

Saw a bunch on BB saturday at the forks at 1030 am while waiting for my daughters dance class to end.. They were all very friendly and honestly... Not that young.

Iknow that when I played if we had a guy or two who did some of the stuff they do...they'd have a talking to for sure by the vets/leaders...especially when elaborate celebrating for simple plays. Mind you it seems to be the culture there and some of their leaders..or supposed ones in Jefferson..Gainey..Hughes..Jovon are the worst offenders...so I guess thats the norm there
