CFL Game #75 Team Notes – Hamilton at Toronto: Playoff considerations / Cross-Over: The Tiger-Cats are now in a battle with Ottawa for first place and a bye in the first round of the East Division playoffs. The 2nd place team will face a Western opponent as Cross-Over is certain for a record 3rd straight year. They have a 2-game set with Ottawa who plays Edmonton this week. The games with the REDBLACKS will decide the season series which Ottawa leads 1-0. Away from home 11-7: Jeremiah Masoli's record is better away from Hamilton at 11-7 than at home (6-9). He is undefeated in two career starts in Toronto (incl. Sep 8/18) and his 4 wins against the Argos are the most among his 17-16 record against any rival. Masoli leads the CFL with 10 games of 300+ yards and is up to #2 with a CFL QB Rating of 81.8 trailing only Bo Levi Mitchell (83.4). Toronto 6 in a row: The Argos look to avoid a 7th straight defeat - the last time they lost 6 in a row was the final 7 g ames of the 2016 season. For Coach Trestman this is the longest losing streak of his CFL career. James Franklin: Has been tapped to start after giving way to McLeod Bethel-Thompson for the last 8 games. He is 1-3 as a starter but all 4 came against Edmonton and Winnipeg. This will be his first start vs an Eastern club other than Toronto. Hamilton up by 10+: In each of their last two losses the Ti-Cats took leads of 10 or more points. In 2018, they have lost 3 times when getting to double-digit leads and are 7-3 overall with 10+ margins. Related to that, Hamilton is a league-best +81 in the 1st Quarter (133-52) and have trailed after 15:00 in just 3 of 14 games. Over the final three Quarters/Overtime however they have been outscored 289-274 (-15). Luke Tasker 400/5000: Needs 84 yards to reach 1,000 for the third time in the last 4 years. He went over 400 career catches last week and has 402 receptions for 5,140 yards in just 76 games. Of his 402 receptions, 152 have been for 2nd down conversions. Toronto at half: The Argos have led just once all season long at half time (Jul 7/18 vs Edmonton) By 1 point: Three of Toronto's 7 home games thus far have been decided by one point. White, Green & Timmis: The Ti-Cats do not have a running back in the Top 7 rushers but ... have 3 different 100-yard gainers. Masoli last 5 games: Masoli has been efficient passing with only 3 interceptions compared to 12 TD passes in this 5-game run. Franklin last game: Took over at QB and directed 2 TD drives in just 4 possessions as BC fought back against BC. Green & Edwards: Come in with reception streaks - Green is at 33 staright games and Edwards all 35 of his CFL games.5 points

US President and fam heavily rely on on Saudi money to fund their investments. US President calls journalists the enemy. Journalist, critical of this relationship, openly investigates the relationship between Saudis and Trumps, gets lured and murdered by the Saudis. US intelligence knew of hit beforehand, did nothing. We have given up 365 points...Riders have given up 373...we both have given up 30 offensive TD's...we have given up 13 passing TD's (2nd in league) you guys 20 (good for 6th)...We forced 41 turn overs...Riders 36..tied for interceptions and and fumble recoveries...and have 131 points off turnover as opposed to 91 for the Riders...you do have edge in sacks 41 to 37 but most of yours come from 2 guys, where Winnipeg doesn't have to rely on 2 guys. So based on stats..which you seem to indicate don't lie..how is the Rider defense better...statistically in all the major points you trail Winnipeg?? Also..you are dead last in punting average and net punting..sixth in kick off average...we are tied at 3rd for punt return average given up..Riders have given up 3 kick return Td's to our 1...we blocked 3...you blocked 2...though you have returned 4 and we have returned 1...and we have least ST penalties in the league...so again...how are the riders far superior? Based on numbers and stats...it seems that the Rider's are a far superior team in luck and horseshoes moreso than in ability...based on stats2 points

Funny statement as your 2 "top" recruited receivers sit 16th and 17th in the league with a total of 4 TD's between them....and our leading Canadian has as many TD's and and just over 100 yards less than your top guy in yards gained...so how's your recruiting going??2 points

CFL Game #76 Team Notes – Saskatchewan at Winnipeg: Season series: The Riders have already clinched the 2018 series with Winnipeg leading 2-0 and can ensure a finish ahead of them with another win this week at Investors Group Field. It is their first series victory over Winnipeg since 2014. They stat from the first two games of 2018 vs the Bombers was an 8-3 Turnover edge and 6 Sacks made vs 3 by Winnipeg. Zach Collaros .727: The Riders' QB has completely turned around his W-L record this year after an 0-12 skid in Hamilton. Zach is #2 in the CFL with a .727 win % in 2018 at 8-3 and has once again gotten above .500 for his career at 32-30. His W-L record has come in 3 distinct stretches - 2012-15: 21-12; 2016-17: 3-15; 2018: 8-3. Matt Nichols - 7 INTs cut to 1: Nichols comes in with a 3-game win streak and has not lost since the two Saskatchewan games either side of Labour Day. He has thrown just one INT over the last 3 games compared to 7 picks in the 3 games before that. Nichols has yet to throw for 300+ yards this season vs 10 above 300 yards over the 2016-17 seasons. 3-game win streak for Riders: Saskatchewan is riding a 3-game winning run with none of the victories by a margin greater than 7 points and 13 points in total. In games decided by 8 points or less, essentially one possession games at the end, Saskatchewan has gone 8-3 in 2018. Just 4 of their games have been decided by more than 8 points. 4 in a row away: The Riders current 4-game road winning streak matches their recent best set over the last 4 games of 2017. They last won 5 in a row or more back in 2007-08 with a 6-game road run of success. Andrew Harris Career Highs: Comes in trailing Ottawa's William Powell by just 2 yards (1,233 to 1,235) after a stats correction from early in the season (reducing Powell's total by one yard), but with one fewer game left. He has already posted new career-highs with his 1,233 yards, 8 rushing TDs and 5 games of 100+ yards. Adam Bighill: Ranks #2 in the CFL in defensive tackles with 90 and with 10 more can make it 4 seasons at 100+.. Only two players have ever had 4 seasons or more with 100+ defensive tackles - Willie Pless (7) and Barrin Simpson (4). Mike Miller 155 ST: Ranks #2 in the CFL in Special Teams Tackles with 17. The New Brunswick native is up to 155 in his career and that ranks him #12 all-time, 3 back of #11 Ray Biggs at 158 and 6 short of the Top 10. Miller has recorded at least one ST Tackle in 89 of his 137 career games - a remarkable 65% of his appearances. Consecutive 32-yard Converts: Since the 2015 move of the 1-point convert kick out to 32 yards, none have been better than Justin Medlock of late. He is a perfect 46-of-46 in 2018 and has now made 55 in a row from 32 yards. The longest streaks including Medlock's CFL record of 82 in a row from the 32-yard distance from 2015 to 2017. 13 return TDs: Saskatchewan’s record of 13 (👁🗨there’s that number again) return scores is the highest in club history and the most by any club in the last 15 years. The last club to have as many as 13 return TDs was Montreal in 2003. 13 return TDs Part II: Saskatchewan's total of 13 return scores ranks tied for #2 all-time trailing only BC in 1987. The Lions set a CFL record that year with 15, including a record 11 by their defence. Saskatchewan has 9 on defence in 2018. Riders in the playoffs: Based on a potential 4-way tie in the West at 10-8, the Riders would still come out in playoff position. Dressler: Is now at 123 straight games with a reception. At 709 catches, he passed Rocky DiPietro for #12 all-time last week. Justin Medlock: Has made 16 of his last 17 FG attempts and now leads the CFL with 12 punts inside the 10-yard line. Turnovers Forced: Winnipeg leads with 41 Takeaways including 2 last week. They are #1 with 139 points off of Turnovers. Shaquelle Evans: In his last 2 games has caught 12 of his targets, for a team-high 173 yards and 4 for 2nd down conversions. Tre Mason: Was held to just 20 yards last week by Edmonton and did not gain more than 5 yards on any of his 10 carries. Hughes: Took his Sack total to 15 and now has 114 for his career and the #9 spot all-time. Willie Jefferson: Has at least one Sack in 5 of his last 6 games and two pick 6's this year including a 49-yarder last week. Winning without an Offensive TD: The Riders did just that last week with a pick '6' and 4 field goals over Edmonton. ____________________________________________________________________________________1 point -

but still, neither one of them have developed a CFL qb. Trestman did well with Calvillo and Ray, but those are two well established HOF type qbs and Popp never brought anyone in to replace Calvillo in Montreal so I am not sure that holding them up as QB gurus is entirely accurate.1 point

You know why you have fans across the country? Because the smart ones are bright enough to get the hell out of that craphole of a province called Saskatchewan. Lord knows if I lived there I probably would have shot myself by now, or moved to Saudi Arabia if I had no other options. You basically have potash, farmland, ladies with 3 teeth at most, and a football team. Not much else. So it's obvious why Saskatchewan folk who get scattered cheer for the football team --- the rest aren't much to cry home about.1 point -

I mean, sure... let's just ignore the fact Harris is second in rushing yards (by all of three yards despite ten less carries than Powell), second in YPC, and first in rushing TDs by a tailback. Oh, and he's on pace for a career season in rushing yards and games with 100+ rush yards in a season. Oh, and he's on pace for his lowest receiving yards total since joining this team and would be the second lowest of his career. Oh, and also his lowest receptions total since joining this team. You make some dumb comments here but that one there is hands down the dumbest one you've made yet. Why let reality get in the way of moronic ****-posting, right?1 point -

What I see is a QB who uses the tools he has available to him to fit the design of the system he’s involved in. Does it really matter that he takes advantage of one of the best kickers in the league? Or use a RB who is capable up putting up yardage, no matter how? Does he not run an offence that incorporates exactly these kind of players? Everything has to be working perfectly? No team has that. What I also see is other QBs struggle when pieces of their lineup are not available. Must be a mediocre league.1 point -

More from Rider columnist Darrell Davis..telling it like it is. “Until Willie Jefferson made a Willie Jefferson-type play that was somehow allowed by the CFL’s video-review officials, the Saskatchewan Roughriders were poised to lose a pivotal game against the Edmonton Eskimos. But while Eskimos quarterback Mike Reilly was absorbing a helmet hit and getting fallen on by Riders defensive lineman Zack Evans, Jefferson — one of the league’s top defensive players — grabbed an interception and carried it 49 yards for a game-deciding touchdown. Video review somehow ignored the late-game, roughing-the-passer penalties and Saskatchewan beat Edmonton 19-12.”1 point -
