I have no problem with Ripper being here. He's a lot better than most Rider fans who come here to troll. I don't agree with what he says at times but he has every right to be here as long as he is respectful. For the most part he is.

I'm pretty sure that strut was aimed at Willy Jefferson and was intentionally mocking his strut from the B.B. debacle. As I understand it they are actually friends from their time together in Edm., so none of this should be taken very seriously. It was good to see Nichols shed his bout of mid-season gloom.

Until Nichols play actions.....then throws long ball.... ….drops it into Adams, in stride....75 yds clear sailing.... Only play on O..... and Bombers are up 14-0. Bomber D closing on receivers and making sure tackles..... Medlock with some nice punting...ST's with good coverage.... Collaros completing some balls.....but not going through reads.... Lots of jaw-jaw between Blue receivers and Rider D..... Loffler actually looks like centerfielder....as he picks off bad ZC throw, deep Couple of Harris runs.....gets it to Rider 15..... Naturally we get an incomplete pass, then a sack... Medlock pops 30 yd FG....Bombers 17-0... For his size...Sayles does some thumping out there..... Hall still running lots of blitz packages, again.... Collaros getting pressured....and looking shaky.... Thompkins catches for FD....Harris runs for another 9... Streveler on 2nd and short …rears up and throws down the middle... ...where only Dressler can get it....with a nice diving catch in the end zone... 30 yd TD. 24-0. Turning into nightmare half for the Riders.... Bartel getting outkicked by Medlock, Blue getting good field position.... Nichols completes passes to Demski and Wolitarsky…… Streveler then runs sneak and barges his way up the gut, for 25....to Rider 1 QB sneak on next play.....Bombers simply tuning up the Riders now Banjo Bowl stench has finally dissipated ….now 31 to nothing, in first half.... Blue get standing ovation from crowd, as time runs out..... Collaros starting the 2nd half.....to the surprise of many..... Bighill blows into Rider backfield to sack ZC..... Bridge finally comes in at QB....promptly sacked by Gaitor….. Wolitarsky looking more and more... like an ace inside receiver... Bridge scrambling 25 yds back of line of scrimmage, but gets off nice bomb... ….to Shaw, who like most of the Riders receivers, today...can't catch a cold... Nichols is done.....Streveler will take it from here...Harris actually being rested also... Loffler really ranging around there, in this one.... Bighill chases down Bridge, with some tremendous pursuit...… Sayles having another strong game, back there..... Bridge has a terrific arm....but with no clue what he is doing out there..... Both teams still smacking on D....just punts going back and forth, now.... Bridge to Holley, who is stripped by Fogg....who also recovers the fumble... ….capping off a miserable afternoon for Rider receiving corps..... This Bryant at DT can ball, some....surprising quickness. Bombers get it back with 2.5 minutes left....and just grind out the clock …..to preserve the 31-0 shutout. Bombers needed that game more.....and played like it I needed the gin, just as much....and drank like it.

Lot of Rider talk about that one being a "nothing" and a "garbage" game. This could be considered some sort of deflection or excuse. But upon further reflection....... they are right. Riders brought nothing..... and looked like garbage.

Gaitor has been a pleasant surprise and his experience with CFL game is a big thing in the success. Alexander and Sayles have really come on strong.. allowing Randle and Fogg to just focus on their jobs and not really have to worry about covering up or helping else where.. which I think has now allowed us to be able to employ the linebackers and dlineman differently to play this new aggressive style of defense..finally... also. It has allowed loffler to roam and play safety like before

I’m going to give some credit to Mike O’Shea. The decision to substitute players for the 4th quarter was an important step for O’Shea. It was a must. When Streveler went in, it was a learning experience. He threw that pick to the sidelines. This was the time to make that mistake..when you’re up by big points, not when #1 QB goes down and you’re pressed into action. Right there, Streveler found out you can’t casually throw that ball to the sidelines. He had to bullet it there. Now he knows. He won’t be doing that again. Streveler found out by playing. There’s no other way.

Yeah, how dare he enjoy hooking up with Adams for the biggest play of the day and celebrate that TD. Even after a win, some here choose to ***** and complain. Of course it's the usual whiny suspects. Says a lot.

All teams lay eggs." Riders were an absolute pile of dog turds today: "Lucky Bombers. This game proves nothing. 1990!" And then having the audacity to call O'Shea a classless ****. Uh, do you know who coaches your overrated team? Garbage fans through and through.

I would give Nichols a star. He's come back from a bad place.... If he hadn't gotten himself out of his funk, the team probably wouldn't be winning.

Nicholls looked more comfortable and was actually going through his reads... this is what made me feel better. Regardless of the stats he wasn't making stupid throws into double coverage and at times checked down his receivers and tossed the ball away.

It's interesting that after a win where we blank our most hated rival that the gameday thread is only at 6 pages so far. However, if we'd lost. I think I'm not to far off when I say that the gameday thread would be at least 12 pages if not 15 by now. What does that say about us fans?

Arguably not a good thing to do but I don't go on to Riderfans to pump an opposing team. There's a reason why Zontar and Bluto are respected here. They are class acts who don't run down the Bombers and pump up their teams. You on the other hand can be one of the douchiest posters on here.

As impressed as I am, we can’t get too cocky. Riders on the road on four days rest probably not gonna be as tough as Riders at home in the playoffs. Their offense is hot garbage though. Wow. Our secondary coming together at the right time. Great to see!

Yeah, I doubt Matt Nichols gives a wet fart what you think or what advice you can offer. Even when the guy does something well (throwing the long ball is hardly his strength), you have to poke holes in it and resort to needless and over-the-top criticism. Give it a rest. He had every right to celebrate that TD and there was nothing wrong with it, so quit being butthurt about it and enjoy the win - the win Nichols helped the team get.

The offense went super conservative in the 2nd half. They were up 31 points, no need to take changes, they knew damned well that if they didn't turn the ball over there was no chance Saskatchewan was going to come back. I too would have loved to see them drop 60 points on those assholes but I'll settle for building a big lead early and crushing their spirits by simply not allowing them to get any traction through big plays.

All three of their fans must be devastated.

That may be, but most of those pages would be the same 4-5 people complaining about smirks and passes behind the first down marker as if we haven't heard it all again and again and again. It's nice at the end of 4 quarters to simply say 'that'll do, pig' and move on to watching the rest of the triple header, satisfied in knowing Rider fans are not too happy and the Bombers are gathering mo at the right time.

So...has anyone changed their mind about Richie Hall's defence? I was never as hard on him as others on here have been but even I'm impressed how it's turned around. So now I'm turning my efforts on getting Lapo fired. 😆
