Ya know guys I hate to say it, I’m reading a lot of these posts and I see a little bit of double standard going on. lets face it, at the beginning of the season we laughed at rod person for hyping up the riders and placing the bombers at the middle of the pack. We were all confident Chris Jones was a maniac, we thought he would be fired and it was the worst thing since joe Mack. Now here we are, behind the riders in the standings. If rolls were reversed and riders fans were calling us lucky, trashing us, and completely losing class (which they often do) we would be saying what shitty fans they are. The riders are pretty good. I think we can beat them but we haven’t proved a ****** thing or even clinched the playoffs yet. Let’s keep the respect of the league as Bomber fans but also Winnipegers. There are a lot of bomber fans bringing us down a level class wise here....

but here's the thing, the only reason the Riders are ahead of the Bombers is because they were fortunate enough to get 2 game against the Bombers in the midst of Matt Nichols slump. Nichols is his usual self those games and not the brain dead turn over machine he was for about a month then we're comfortably ahead of them and probably challenging for first in the league.

Can we just have a gentleman's agreement with Calgary next week, and force the game to a tie? It would lock up a playoff spot for us, and lock up 1st in the West for them.

Too bad about Mo. He was a special player here during his time. Really a huge part of being one of those big time, classy players who helped change the culture of our football club from being one or the worst ran organizations to one of the best. Whether this is the end or not I want to congratulate Mo for an outstanding career in the Blue and Gold. He always had an absolute nose for the football. Can’t be said enough his impact for the Bombers over his tenure here in Winnipeg.

Good points. I would like to see league implement a strong policy against impaired driving. Every team deals with these issues.

Just an FYI... the Neil Hughes shirt Jones is wearing and has been wearing all season is for a Regina player that played many years for the Green and white. Also it was GM\HC Chris Jones and President Chris Reynolds that made the call not only to bench Charleston Hughs but fine him the maximum. It all came down when the Riders received all of the information from the City Police. That takes time; No GM is going to make a benching call from what is reported by the media. In my experiences so far it's more the fans that are closer to 77 who are harder to keep in check. Their thinking is just so outdated, and when they don't understand something that is posted they jump to the "troll" comments.
