  1. I fully expect a new thread by Northern Skunk talking about how Nichols shouldn't have put on a toque after than win...

  2. No way am I giving consideration to Nichols. 358 yards? Pfft. Guy can’t even hit 359..

  3. 1 Nichols. Best game of the year for him 2 Sayles another monster game 3 Bighill/jsk big tackles turn overs stops on short yardage these two are beasting Hh Harris in the broken play getting the flip from Nichols breaking 4 or 5 tackles and getting a first down.

  4. Yeah, who would want an offensive player who can contribute in the running and passing game, as well as the return game? Oh and who is a national. I mean I guess when your club has no national players on offense who contribute you forget their value.

    Lions @ Riders

Start the bus, drive West through Regina, stop briefly, then off to Calgary. Once we're done there, drive on up to Edmonton. That's how I predict our postseason will go. It ain't going to be easy but I think we're the best team in the league right now.

  6. 1 Nichols. No question. A leader and performer. 2. Harris, huge after catch yards for first down when Nichols was wrapped up in the back field. Dislocated fingers hurt. 3. Bighill. A very big deal that has qb’s doubting. Happy Honker: MISTER Weston Dressler. 10,000 yards receiving milestone. First down in 4th quarter when needed. Like WOW!

  7. I can’t believe how long the third quarter lasted. Now you have mentioned it, the quarter was truly impressive. Fog rolling in, Bombers rolling up points. Players enduring with snapped digits. Defence smothering the favoured opponents. Classic. A game to remember.

  8. Re: the disputed call at the goal line: in real time it looked like he didn't survive contact, so I understand the original call. In ultra-slow-mo it looked like: a) the ball contacts receiver's hands and he has not yet breached the plane of the goal line b) as he breaches the plane he is still moving the ball (i.e. ball is not yet fully secured and in control) c) the defender now makes contact with the receiver, pushing him back out of the end zone (i.e. still before receiver has fully brought ball under control) d) as he goes to the ground, he now appears to secure control BUT...he is no longer in the score area e) the defender then rips the ball out a split second after the receiver is on the ground. So, to sum up: the Calgary receiver never had full control of the ball while in the score zone PLUS there was not definitive, conclusive evidence to overrule the ruling on the field (which is the threshold required in order to overrule). Conclusion: that was not a touchdown, correct call made, both initially and in the video replay.

  9. Despite Riders being Riders, there's still no team I hate more than the Eskimos. After tonight, let's raise a glass to the memory of Cal Murphy; the last truly great Bomber coach, who lost his job after being cheated by those same "tacks in the shoes" b-astards in the '96 semis.

  10. No more Reilly deep balls. No more flukey catches. No more Williams. No more Hazelton. No more Walker may be back for the playoffs. No more beating up the Gatorade by Maas. No more throwing his headset. Esks… Gone. Gone. Gone. I love it.

  11. Just watch the play..after he first has it hit his hands he loses control and ball is loose and slides down his chest..as he falls he hits ground with it in his possession...BUT he at that point wasnt over the plane of goal line..and then didnt survive contact with ground..hence the call made and in my opinion the right one ans I am sure that's what they noticed/and discussed at command center. Another thing.. I didn't realize what a whiney lil twit Dickenson is..and used to think he was a straight up dude but after that game..man..lost a lot of respect for him..makes u appreciate o'shea and his calm demeanor and way he shows displeasure on sideline

  12. Easy solution to the controversy is if Rogers holds the ball. By bobbling it and then losing it he puts it in the refs hands. Personally I don’t feel that he completed the catch AND had the ball over the plane. He bobbles it and regained control outside of the end zone and then had it knocked out of his hands. If it’s a completion he’s down at the 1.

    Fogg

Suitor legit asked on the broadcast if Fogg should get the Bombers MOP nomination. The man is an idiot.

  14. What a game. The third quarter was maybe one of the most entertaining quarters by this team all season. Oh, and anyone saying Demski is bad or below average is just being irrational, overactive and/or salty. His fumble stunk but one play doesn't define a player.

  15. I can understand why it was such a hard call to make, but yeah I’m not complaining either. Thought this mic’d up game once again showed the vastly different character of each coach. Dickenson: screaming at the refs “he can’t do that! Hey he can’t do that!” O’shea: to his players “go get it - you go get it”

  16. Hes a very good hybrid back who has a knack for trying too hard and it costing him.. oshea is on him constantly to lock it down when he goes for the extra yards.. it will either sink in or it wont but his benefits far outweigh his negatives imo.. Plus hes a winnipeg boy. Gotta love that.

  17. The Morning After...With Coffee 👁‍🗨Calgary quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell lost a third-straight game for the first time in his CFL career. 👁‍🗨 can’t stop thinking that there’s a little less twang in his accent today.. 👁‍🗨I do really want to see if we have a k/r in Nelson as we need help there. But where to fit him in the lineup? 👁‍🗨Thank you Chris Matthews for stretching for more yardage. That wasn’t smart or necessary. J Santos-Knox forced a turnover and the Bombers were on their way to a FG to tie the game. 👁‍🗨Curse you Chris Matthews for that 60 yard reception that led to a TD. Stamps 9-6 👁‍🗨A strong Bomber defensive stand held the Stamps to 3 points after a Demski fumble, where his own teammate knocked it loose at the 25 yard line. Key play - a pass knock down by K. Fogg. It’s not a stretch to say this was a turning point for the Bombers. 12-3 as opposed to 16-3. That stop was huge. 👁‍🗨12-6 halftime score. In the past, it was never a good sign when trailing heading into the 3rd Q. But a 50 yard bomb to Adams helped change that. And then after the Stamps scored, a 60 yard pass to Wolitarsky showed where we’re at Offensively. 👁‍🗨Then, Bighill took over and forced yet another fumble. Another Bomber FG and an 11 point lead. 👁‍🗨Aren’t those 3rd down gambles nerve-wracking? I believe I would have punted. O’Shea’s not scared though and says he would do it again. That’s 3 - 3rd down failures that I can recall, and the 1st 2 almost cost us the playoffs. 👁‍🗨Then..the bobble at the goal line by Rogers. A slight bobble while attempting the catch at the goal line cost the Stamps a TD. A call either way couldn’t be overturned. It was too close. 👁‍🗨LaPo - a well called game. You deserve credit for this one! 👁‍🗨Can’t forget R. Hall, who’s always being slammed. Lots of timely pressures. 👁‍🗨The playmakers stepped up last night. And the list is long. Nichols, Harris, the O-line, J Santos-Knox, what’s his name? in the middle, Adams, and yes..Demski. 👁‍🗨Sayles (what a find) 👁‍🗨511 yards and possession time, great yac yards. Good combo. 👁‍🗨Clean game - only 4 penalties each. 👁‍🗨That 4th Q was a beaut. Stopped the Stamps on their 1st drive and then controlled the ball for 3 1/2 minutes to kick that FG from no pressure Medlock. 👁‍🗨There was a turnover on downs, and a controversial no-catch call at the goal line. You could almost hear the screams from Edmonton. - No reports on damage though, from the Maas household. 👁‍🗨Now today, can just sit back and enjoy some football and hockey without the worry of getting into the playoffs..

  18. Bobbling and came out when he went down. He didn't survive it. No matter the call on the field either way I'm glad it wasn't overturned. Keep the overturns out of it unless its blatant- which it wasn't. Borderline at best

  19. Need more love for Mike O'Shea in this thread. Thought he would go down with the ship this year but his faith was rewarded. Three straight winning seasons and three straight playoff appearances. Don't know how or when this season will end, but that is a solid accomplishment. Best shot at actually winning a championship is to be good consistently. Between 2004-2015, the Bombers only had two winning seasons and one 0.500 season.

  20. With respect to the controversial TD, live from my seat he looked he dropped it. Later watching the replay he clearly scored. However, it was a nice bit of karma for us considering they got a win here two years ago on a bogus call.

  21. He REALLY does have to learn when its time to just secure the ball and take the tackle or head out of bounds... he played well but was kind of scary tonight I still think its crazy that Wolitarsky is not playing the inside... Field receiver with over 600 yards - pretty impressive

  22. His best game of the season tonight. In arguably the most important game of the season. Excellent!

  23. I’ll take O’Shea’s banter on the sidelines over that seemingly whiny Dickenson any day.

  24. That sure looked like a td to me. I don't feel bad about it though.

  25. It's definitely a great feeling to get the third winning season in a row under Mike O'Shea. Btw he is the first Bomber head coach to do that since Ritchie from 2001-2003. A big accomplishment very much too. But I think at this point, we want to see this playoff clincher turned to a GC win. It's overdue.

  26. A bodacious young Miss called Orlesky Cried, why is A. Singleton so pesky? I split time with the Jets and Bombers won tonight's bets He had to agree....more or less-ky

  27. Nichols still can't hit the deep...oh. Great game for him. Glad he is playing better, because for a while he was baaaaaaaad. Still mad about the Banjo Bowl. A Grey Cup would give me a short memory. Demski needs to not wave the ball around with one hand when he's getting tackled.

  28. Great game by Santos Knox also

  29. 1. Bighill - forced fumble, sack, absolute beast out there 2. Nichols - he is back... nice and consistent, accurate 3. Adams - that was some nice route running... HH - Harris - not sure how he didn't hit 100 yards... beast of a game

  30. Heard O'Shea saying "sorry we couldn't get to you" to Streveler just before his live mic was cut. O'Sh wants to get Streveler reps but he wants to win games even more. Have to respect that.

  31. So all 3 members of the TSN panel, who unanimously agreed it should’ve been a TD, don’t understand the rules of football?

  32. Agreed, only one catch but it was for 60 yds. and basically won the game.

  34. Props to Nichols for having his best game of the season when it was most needed.

  35. Well yeah I know this - but many pundits/fans really spent a lot of time pointing out why the Bombers would win handily. In reality it was a hard fought win with both teams giving it everything. Our guys were just flat out better today!

  36. 511 yards offence. No reason they couldn’t have had like 1100 yards if Streveler had started against that soft Calgary team that is in first place.

  37. Nichols best game of the year Dressler was a danger all game. And he hit 7000 yards receiving Bighill is a beast. Number 1 priority is to get him signed long term HM: Jovon Santos Knox another great game. Sayles was a difference maker Adams with a BIG game & a 50 yard touchdown. Went over a thousand yards receiving tonite.
