    Grey Cup - predictions

Bo interview on 1290. Sounds like he's gone. question. what will your legacy in the CFL be? answer. "winner" What an ass. been in three cups, won one. Had last season's in the bag, had to throw the glorious td pass at the end. Do not see him making it in the NFL. Don't care either way.

  7. Their defensive game plan was to make Nichols beat them with his arm. Every DC in the country knows if you take away Harris you can beat us with a relative degree of ease if the other 2 phases play well. It is a combination of Lapo and his play calling and Nichols inability to throw accurately consistently like say a Reilly or a mitchel or a Harris.

Man was he a good player. Imagine if he hasn’t smoked a pack a day

Why is it a waste of time? You said that the Canadians and o-line are the core and character of this team. This is true. But the character and identity of this team is shaped and moulded by the HC, you take him out and instill another HC... it will change. If you take MOS out of the equation... the character and core of this team changes. No one is "So upset" just a tad frustrated because of your usual shtick is all.

When are you guys going to get over the fact that this team LOST to the BEST team in the league, hands down for the last 3 years (barring the grey cup), whose defense had the GAME OF THE DECADE as far pretty much every pundit is concerned... We kept it close. No blowing stuff up, no rebuilds. This team is learning how to win, step by step. Big things for next year, with hopefully the core intact and a few tweaks here and there. We are not Edmonton... We are not Montreal or Toronto. Hey we're not Hamilton. We were a few passes away from the Grey Cup. Foundations are solid. Fix the receivers, get a beast in the secondary, and a beast for a returner and keep the rest of the core and we are set.

did Mike Oshea kick your dog or steal your wife...man you have a lot of serious unfounded hate going on for what has been a pretty good last 3 yrs worth of ball...team has progressed albeit without a cup yet...but if he was to be turfed...most is staff would be too...and most likely a lot of the character in the room with it...and you are back to square one.. This year was a pretty resounding success...survived the season with number one QB out to start the year...then a funk portion...and then a Playoff win on the road...and an almost second one for the taking ..again on the road...which history shows rarely happens...sustainable success and environment to maintain that..and re-load it is whats vital and key before all the fruits of that labour can be realized...and we are exactly at that point right now...and keeping things status quo from Miller on down right now will allow us to keep keeping on in that regard...But...and this is the key thing...if Walters can't bring in the talent at receiver this year to augment it and put us over the top...well then a switch in that position is a realistic change...and won't affect the culture or the environment thats been built

He keeps putting up double digits in wins a season I'll give him a lot more time. He is flat out the best head coach this team has had since Dave Ritchie and he's done it with the safest most boring coordinators going. I got lots of patience for O'Shea cause these teams are fun teams to watch when for the better part of the last 20 years we've watched some absolute horseshit teams.

And of course you include all five years in that analysis - making sound like its all about a better culture and that culture is a failure. No consideration for the poor team and the bare cupboard this regime inherited.

  41. Let me add, in all seriousness, it's only a very few fans that are truly miserable. My experience, is that fans love their teams, the CFL and are passionate.

  42. Definitely the Riders are the most hated. From top to bottom, everyone from the Coach/GM to the players to the fans, I can’t think of a more classless group of people in all of sports. Chris Jones, an egotistical blowhard, figures he needs to be the highest paid non player in the CFL, so while being a GM/coach wasn’t enough for him, he needed to be the Riders VP as well. He spent an entire season refusing to shake hands with Huff. Every off season, Jones would try to recruit anybody with some controversy behind them, as if he was trying to assemble a Legion of Doom super villian group. Props to him as it gives the broader CFL fan base more reasons to dislike the Riders. The Rider fanbase is also the worst. I think Bomber fans know all too well why that’s the case. Aside from trashing our city whenever the Riders play at McMahon, It seems like this season Rider fans are hitting new lows as some of you are finding joy whenever they hear a Stamps player is injured. Not only that but wishing Bo would get a season ending injury too. It’s one thing to dislike a player, but wanting a rival to get hurt to a point where they are hospitalized and can’t go to work anymore is absolutely sickening. you all deserve each other

Interesting comments on this regime....A lot of time lines have been brought up regarding this regime.....Certainly 28 years without a Cup does not belong at the feet of this present regime BUT IF we take the 5 year period that they are responsible, I like to compare our success or lack thereof with other 'regimes'....Top of my mind is Ottawa....They totally rebuilt (granted with the help of a re-entry draft) and have seen some pretty solid growth in the same 5 yr. span....One Cup.... and another appearance in which they could easily add another...Our record looks pretty anemic when you look at theirs and I guess after all of this time I thought we would/should be a lot further along...I don't know what the exact reason is, quite frankly, that we didn't at least have a home playoff game in 18'...I do not want to see a wholesale change BUT there obviously has to be some changes..It's going to get harder and harder to pass 'little gains' in a season that will appease the long suffering fans of this team...Any sign of regression next year and I think a few coaches will meet the same fate as the NHL Oilers head coach has today.. an in season exit

  45. A quote from a Kirk Penton insider: Randy) Ambrosie has never once talked to a group of coaches about anything. Coaches will leave the league, and the quality of play will suffer. Young Canadian coaches will be hurt by the capping of the number of coaches on staff, so they will not be able to get quality control jobs and grow into position coaches. Someone should ask Ambrosie if he and his staff are going to match the 10 percent pay cut (Chris) Jones and the Riders took? Do some teams have too large of staffs? Yes, but work together to find a compromise with coaches and operations. This guy just is something else. Instead of trying to drum up football in Mexico, promote our players and game more here.

  47. You clearly are under estimating the Rider fans base and it's ability to blow smoke up their own asses. No matter who they get in the offseason they will have the best qb situation going and perhaps can trade their backup or even 3rd stringer for a couple Canadian starters.
