Maybe Adams shouldn't have given up on the route for no good reason?

Not the first time this argument has been presented, fact is many (maybe half?) of Streveller's TD's were the result of finishing off longer drives that Nichols orchestrated. Numerous times he came into the game with the ball already in the red-zone and within 2 plays put it in the end-zone. Nothing wrong with that but it does distort the reality that he created many of these scoring opportunities, he simply finished them off. This is about as close as you will get to a 1-A and 1-B QB scenario in the current CFL, just be thankful they have both options and O'Shea has loosened up enough to make the best use of their individual talents. I really look forward to next season when LaPo takes this combo. to the next level.

Sports are rarely to never about 1 guy tho.. Anyone who has played would tell you that so blaming 1 guy is pretty dumb. Football especially... Uninformed fans can troll online and blame this guy or whoever the whipping boy is that particular game but in football especially.. U win as a team.. U lose as a team. QB could be better? Sure.. WR could have caught that? Sure LB could have made the tackle? Ok Its never 1 guy. There is 1 team sport where u can blame 1 guy... Baseball.. Because essentially baseball comes down to pitcher vs hitter.

Harris busted his ass trying to get that pass. Trust me, I was sitting in the stands for both plays. Harris damn near tracked that ball down, Adams stopped running well before the ball was anywhere close to him. Massive difference. Had a great view of both plays. Nichols throws the ball and Adams stops running and then realized he ****** up and tried to catch up but was too late. Harris is open and sees the ball going too far and tries hard to get there but can't quite make it. That's the difference. Adams was wide open cause no one went to cover him and thought he could just stand there for an easy TD, Nichols expected him to keep taking his route to the endzone.

Rich coming from the guy who says that Nichols never wins games but blames him for every loss. Adams runs, he gets that ball. Instead, he dogs it and misses his route. Now it's Nichols fault when players don't run the routes that they practice?

Sure but they still suck. Sorry it's hard being a hardcore Jet fan living in Oiler land. It brings me joy when they lose knowing it annoys some Oiler fans here and some posters on this board. I mean hey if holding a guy to 2 points is shutting him down go on and believe that. I already said the jets were too good a team to expect the Oilers to win I regulation missing half of their top 4 D, but you all act like the jets are so far superior that somehow it wouldn't have made a difference. Fact.. Jets are the 2nd best team in the league behind Tampa.. 677 winning percentage. They have played less games than both Nashville (1 point ahead) and Toronto. Jets also have the franchise's best 30 now 31 game record to start the year. Oilers hung around cuz Talbot. Only pure homers would think otherwise

Outshot 17-2 in the third period... Talbot kept his team in the game. Blaming him on that OT goal is pretty ridiculous, IMO. Morrissey beat him with a hell of a shot. He was only a bum when he played in Calgary.

we can all do better to remember we're interacting with real people. It gets lost in the fact we're typing. But I do think this forum is one of the best I've posted at in terms of mutual respect and when it steps outside that, in the moderators reminding people. But your post is a good reminder that we should always be cognizant that we're all human beings.

For several reasons, I want Nichols to to have a monster year where he goes off for like 5000+ and just tears the league a new *******. Now, having said that, I don't think this "ball control" offense that we've been employing the last few years is necessarily conducive to big yardage totals. Having said that, as long as the wins are there and it's entertaining football game in, game out, then I'm all in....

Fact of the matter is the Oilers go as far as McDavid takes them, without him they are a last place team, with him they make the playoffs, he's just that good.

Im no lawyer but yes. I saw a little bit of chatter about that but not much. I believe its been used before (I saw a L&O episode about it) where they had DNA of a rapist but no identity so they did a John Doe indictment to kill the Statute of Limitations issue. It was based on a true story as I recall. So they could. I think the issue is the DOJ policy of not indicting a sitting President. That's not supported by the Constitution at all so you'll see Dems who will want to challenge it. But I would think a sealed indictment satisfies all issues. But the DOJ has to allow it and if they feel an indictment, sealed or not, is not permissible, they wont.

I'm just gonna say this & I'm NOT pointing fingers at anyone here but making a general observation. The same people on this forum that are abhorred by bullying in a Christmas story are the same ones who seem okay with anyone else bullying others on this forum with insults & mockery if another poster says something they don't agree with. Why is it okay to belittle members on this board & yet then be outraged over whether a flying reindeer with a red nose is bullied by other flying reindeer & an overweight senior in a magical sled? I just don't get it. Bullying goes on in here every damned day & yet that seems to be acceptable. We need to have a serious discussion about why some posters here are always on the outside looking in & aren't part of the "in crowd" here.

On the 'Monster' defense we ran in the high school in the 70's, the monster spot was a LB/DE hybrid. Basically, an 11 man defense with 1 player freed up to go where he was needed.

Everyone goes to the big cities, if it were me I'd put teams in smaller places that don't have much else and build some loyal fanbases.
