    2019 Schedule Released

I don't mind this schedule at all. Nice and balanced. Not a big fan of back to backs to end the season, but understand it. Could be some exciting football at that time of year.

These folks who are always ranting and raving about the stupid wall.......should simply form a caravan and march down to the Mexican border. Not sure what Mexicans would make of.... so many undesirable bad hombres threatening their border, though.....

Just so extremely thankful for the Thurs Aug 1 game. Getting married on Sat Aug 3, and a Bombers game the same day would have caused a LOT of problems...

This is taking a bunch of heat online, but I think it looks interesting. There's some continuity with Emma Thompson and some aliens from the previous franchise, but it still feels fresh. I dug this trailer...

We should set up FB pages or something to note where they are, not to have drivers avoid them but to encourage sober drivers to go and purposefully drive through them, multiple times even, to show what a waste they are.

Corker votes with Trump 84% of the time. Just like Flake. says one thing and does another.

Not really... Corker has been at odds with trump since day 1. same party (if you can believe trump is actually a republican) certainly not on the same side of many issues.

Holy jeez... A quote from the article you posted: Sen. Bob Corker (R-Tenn.), who is retiring in early January, started laughing when he was told of Trump's decision. "Well, why not?" he quipped, asked why he was laughing, adding that he was "not really" surprised by Trump's decision. "On this? I don't know. Y'all have fun. I'm getting ready to fly to Chattanooga. ...[Leadership] has no guidance right now," Corker said, asked what happened next. "I think they're just sort of swirling around over there at the White House." Asked if he thought the continuing resolution (CR) could still be signed, Corker added that it's impossible to predict what Trump will do. "I don't know. ... Who knows. Does the person sitting behind him at the White House know? Who would know? Who would know," Corker said. "I love it, you can't make this stuff up." What a gong show!

He can't even keep his own BS straight from hour to hour https://thehill.com/homenews/senate/422329-trump-shutdown-moves-leaves-gop-senators-in-disbelief Why are the good Republicans in disbelief? Trump doesn't care about them. Or anything else (like completely blindsiding his Sec. of D, Senate and America allies on Syria, last night) Donald turned on Fox last nite, and saw himself getting blistered by everybody there..... along with the box barrage from the ole Freedom Caucus maniacs..... about the "wall cave in." Hence a zig instead of a zag. Trump, his administration, and the Republican majority Senate.....simply have no clue and certainly no plan. They have a sitting President and Senate....and they are going to shut themselves down! Insane.

  14. You're the only person I've ever heard say that. It's a heated, historical rivalry. And is arguably the best rivalry going in the CFL.

  23. My personal tie-in: I was too young to really remember Live Aid but in 2005 I drove down to Barrie Ontario to go the the Live 8 concert (20th anniversary of Live Aid). I don't think it ended up being nearly as huge as the original (the London Bombings happened the next day so that took away most of the media coverage) but there was still some cool stuff to see live (or on screen via satelite) in that atmosphere. Easily the most memorable concert I've ever been to.

  24. It was a huge event. It was also particularly poignant performance because Freddie was born in Africa and grew up there and in India. From Wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Live_Aid) Live Aid was a dual-venue benefit concert held on Saturday 13 July 1985, and an ongoing music-based fundraising initiative. The original event was organised by Bob Geldof and Midge Ure to raise funds for relief of the ongoing Ethiopian famine. Billed as the "global jukebox", the event was held simultaneously at Wembley Stadium in London, England, United Kingdom (attended by 72,000 people) and John F. Kennedy Stadium in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States (attended by about 100,000 people). On the same day, concerts inspired by the initiative happened in other countries, such as the Soviet Union, Canada, Japan, Yugoslavia, Austria, Australia and West Germany. It was one of the largest-scale satellite link-ups and television broadcasts of all time; an estimated audience of 1.9 billion, across 150 nations, watched the live broadcast, nearly 40% of the world population.

I'm on the fence about Nichols. I'm not a big supporter but by no means is he not still a massive upgrade over a Drew Willy type guy. At least he makes conservative decisions and gives the team a chance to win. He had one tough stretch there but pulled through and posted a bunch of wins down the stretch including a playoff win. With Bo likely heading to the NFL we end up having the 2nd best starter in the West this season and the best up and comer with upside in Streveler. To me a lot will depend on how much Nichols can rehab his knee in the offseason. If he can come in 100% with his 2017 level of mobility there's a lot of hope he can have a better season than 2018. But we gotta keep having a role for Steveler game in and game out. Just because we start the season with Nichols doesn't mean Streveler doesn't take over at some point. Lets see how he looks in training camp when coming back with a year of experience.

  29. Touche' Spuds. Now lets see how that turns out. When Chamblin was HC of the Riders, all was well when the team was winning, but his rants in the locker room were apparently epic and his public one not much less so. But he will be in Toronto, so that sort of thing would probably never be noticed.
