Not to steer this off topic - but the same thing happened when people who’d been in the Chrétien camp turned on Paul Martin. It took a while, but eventually it cost the Liberals big time (2011). It’s also a pretty good indicator of how long it could take the Dems to get their house back in order.1 point -

Yeah but those guys have to realize they need to win the big one. Was Bernie going to win a national election? I don’t see it. Even now, the Dems biggest issue is going to be over coming their own in-fighting.1 point -

THC is not cannabis. It is a single aspect of it. Which is why synthetic forms of THC have a long list of side effects that aren't always associated with whole plant treatments. Doing experiments with only THC is misleading at best and often flat out false, as the other cannabinoids as well as the terpenes present in the plant can alter the effects of THC as well as the ability of THC to properly bind to the cannabinoid cell receptors. The study your quoting did not take other lifestyle choices into consideration. Diet, exercise, careers etc etc etc. It may have also let the participants source their own cannabis, which brings on a whole other list of problems. This is unfortunately extremely common in cannabis studies, maybe false isn't the right word, but these studies are often done with a result already in mind. IE - "Cannabis lowers sperm count" Instead of "Does cannabis lower sperm count?" Also, the original post talked about altering the DNA of sperm, not lowering the overall sperm count. I really shouldn't discount these types of studies, and I'm certainly not trying to point out that cannabis is a miracle etc etc. But the vast majority of the studies done on it are trying to find out why its bad for us, not just conducting proper research and letting the results speak for themselves. Again, nothing against the people who did this study...these types of results are legitimately the only way you can continue to get funding to study cannabis in most countries. It's a fairly broken system.. The legalization of cannabis in Canada will bring about some very accurate results for better or worse.1 point -

Next up are the linebackers, starting with the outside linebackers. I am going to throw out a bunch of names, and will ask for help in positioning as inside or outside (or correcting any inaccuracies in my listings), as well as those I have missed (also help if anyone can position those players who were with the club pre-1950's when there was no formal "linebacker" position, but who deserve a nomination). Linebackers to consider include Antonio Armstrong(?), Maurice Kelly(?), KD Williams(?), Elfrid Payton (outside), James West (all-star at both inside and outside, but I believe he should go in as an inside backer, please confirm or refute), Ty Jones (outside), Rob McLaren (outside), Phil Minnick (outside), Henoc Muamba (inside), Greg Battle (inside, although he too was an all-star one year at outside backer), Barren Simpson (inside), Aaron Brown (inside), Harry Walters (inside), Mike Doyle (inside), Dave Burkholder (inside), Ike Charlton(?), Delbert Fowler(?). We already had Gordie Rowland and Mo Leggett, both who were outside (cover) backers, listed in the defensive halfback position given the hybrid nature of the new SAM position, so I am disinclined to repeat them here, but I am willing to be convinced if people want a re-vote on them in this category. Also, Zeke Moreno was an all-star at middle linebacker one year, which is my default staring point when compiling these nominee lists, but since he was traded midway through the year and earned that award as much with the Tiger Cats, I will leave him off. I'm pretty sure I'll get no objections. Lots of names, so don't be afraid to tell me who I have missed, or who does not belong in here for consideration in the first place.1 point -

2019 Schedule Released

I also have never been a big fan of Thursday night games... however what I started doing a few seasons ago was just taking the following Friday off as a vacation day at work, works out nice especially if the game goes really late (such as the home opener last year)...plus then you get a long weekend out of it, turns a negative (dragging your ass into work after a late night from a game) into a positive (long weekend).1 point -

This is a fantastic history lesson, and highlights some of the intricacies and difficulties in doing a position by position poll over eras, which is hopefully part of the fun of this exercise. I cannot like this post enough - brilliant job!1 point -

My Mom met Rod Hill and had him sign some stuff she had on her for me and my older brother. She told me the interaction was something like this: "Oh hi, are you a somebody?" 'Yes I play for the Bombers' "can you sign these things for my sons they love you guys" /Cool story bro /FU i love my Mom and the Bombers1 point

Khari is a throw deep guy. Nichols isn't. Neither Dinwiddie or Buck have any OC experience. I'd much rather go with someone who has been an OC at some level of football. I doubt it matters though. PLAP won't likely be the #1 choice in Toronto or BC. My guess is Chamblin and Claybrooks.1 point

Pierce would be the sentimental favourite, but if LaPolice bolts (a probability) my choice would be (dramatic pause) Khari Jones.1 point

Well, what can you say. Fell short of making the Grey Cup by one game. One lousy game. Anyway, thank you to everyone on this forum who adopted me during my first season as a Bombers Fan. I am never going to back to the NFL. -Doug1 point

Pot usage is not all that innocuous for some. Heavy, continued intake can trigger psychoses, overwrite DNA in sperm and even cause lactation in males due to suppression of testosterone. Those who use THC to self-medicate anxiety or bipolar disorder (etc), typically do not get better from the presenting issue.0 points

I guess after 28 years fans have the right to ask why we can't win. Like I said, I saw that twitter quote on Sunday night from an unhappy fan. It got me thinking. Could it e true? Does making money usurp winning with this team? I have no clue if it's correct or not.0 points
