  3. You know what's bad about being a Prider? They go to bed every night living in Regina. What's worse is they have to get up every morning living there, too.

  4. Yes but, I think all SPuDs is saying that there are posters here that just point out the bad & absolutely relished in Nichol's failures. And SPuDs is right.

In collective bargaining language, the word is retroactive. It’s like getting back pay. Some clauses are retroactive to the day the previous agreement expired, others are effective date of signing, while still others are effective on a date agreed to by all parties.

  10. I think the whole getting mad at the fans because they booed didn't help fans giving him the benefit of the doubt. Nichols isn't egotistical like some of the boneheaded other QB's.. but it would be refreshing to take some accountability.

Smart teams like Calgary set a budget for players by position. They don’t over pay for FA and Huff’s son does a good job of finding talent hence the stability of that franchise.

  15. I watched that game. He has wheels. Can he run! And throws a nice ball as well although Baylor is definitely a run first offense. I think Brewer's height will hold him back from the NFL. I think he's just around 6 feet tall. Guess he'll be back at Baylor next season. http://www.3downnation.com/2018/12/28/baylor-qb-charlie-brewer-bombers-neg-lister-leads-bears-texas-bowl-win/

Because there's this little thing called family life and Christmas. Lots of people sort of want to travel home for December. Not really hard to figure that sort of stuff out, and again, if you had read the article you'd have known that talks have been ongoing for a while now. I'm expecting that each side pretty much knows where the starting points are already.

  22. Agreed to an extent. All we have is what we see on the field, and with O'Shea and Co. being so close-mouthed about what really went on during the game, we are left with speculation, and any one point of view has as much validity as the next.

Uh, the 90s called - reminding you of that dreadful US expansion, a mountain of legal issues, and the NFL loaning a few million so the league could survive.

I don’t understand why any new clauses they negotiate couldn’t be retroactive. Then everyone could proceed with FA business as usual.

  25. and your QB for next year is who????? And Goosen will need a slightly higher bump..Chungh already got one...so his increase won't be much...same with Bryant...he probably signs back for 5 k more...big whip

  26. Bombers will lose people, everyone will, difference between the Bombers and Riders is that the Bombers have depth.

  27. Where did I say we were going to be a contender? My post was solely aimed at your asinine proclamation that the Riders will be better than 12-6 next year based on nothing more than the usual ridiculous Rider homerism as opposed to reality. And be prepared to be insulted when you come to a Bomber fan site after a playoff loss and spew your verbal diarrhea. Please go back to Jonestown and consume the koolaid over there.

  28. lol...The Stamps could quite possibly be without a true number one QB next year..that will definately make them weaker Sask definitely will be weaker as that horseshoe they had crammed up their cramhole fell out already..Hughes I doubt will be back and faded badly...Not a guarantee Jefferson is back there even if he doesn't get an NFL sniff which I doubt he gets..Same with Evogoen.....and you have zero QB'ing and minimal options and pretty much a given you will roll with same crap you had last year....or some other unproven guy..or a reclamation project in Willy or Jennings...or beg Glenn back.....I see Ssk next year as a .500 team at best..

  29. Oh based on what? The qb situation they got figured out? The money they're going to have to spend to keep that D intact? You expect your team to score as many defensive points as they did this past season? The Riders are the prime candidate to regress next season.
    1 point
  30. Riders won’t necessarily be better. Jefferson very easily could be gone, Roosevelt too. I wouldn’t be shocked if the QB situation is still a mess next year too. Reilly or Mitchell aren’t coming through that door.

  31. Vegas odds makers had Riders as heavy favourites before BB was announced the starter, then marginally underdogs afterward. Enough said.

  32. LMFAO. 12-6 was the biggest smoke and mirror job this league has ever seen. Your ****ing defense scored more TD's than your starting QB for the love of god. If you think that's sustainable you need to put down the crack pipe bro. Your QB depth is one hit away from Jones digging up Ron Lancaster.

  33. The same ZC that had fewer td passes than our backup was going to lead you to glory? We have two options at QB, you have none. We have better canadian talent. Tell me again who is better off.

  34. Dave Dickenson is a good coach but he's an arrogant, whiny ******* too. The Miced up segments have done him no favours, just show what a ****** he is.

  35. Let's not lose sight of who actually beat us today. Calgary is a good team and their record reflects that. They have one of the most effective QBs the CFL has ever seen and their depth at receiver is ridiculous. I sincerely hope they choke because frankly it's sickening.

  36. Let’s get real. Bombers had no business being in the western final. Prior to playoffs, Riders lost their starting QB to a no-call dirty hit. Bombers got fined for no-call rough play, and a headshot on back-up QB in quarter final versus Riders. During the Semi-final versus Stamps numerous missed calls by the refs gave Bombers an uneven playing field. Otherwise, it would have been a rout. Riders, in spite of being only three years into a rebuild, continue to outperform the Bombers. Two teams going in two opposite directions....just the fact. Kindest regards.

  37. That’s not arrogance, that’s just being a whiner. With that said, I didn’t like that comment from Dickenson either
