Rubbish. He was never "the face" at anyntime. His media appearances and interviews here were as rare as hens teeth. When Austin stepped down it was June Jones 24-7. Austin and Tillman were a tandem so it's only logical when Austin stepped down Tillman's time here was limited.1 point -

Yup. I’m the same as you. I watched as a kid and then barely watched for years. It was when wrestling got smarter that it drew me back in. The quality of wwe is a way better now than in the early to mid 90’s but it’s just as boring. Everyone should watch Kenny vs Tanahashi from two nights ago that was 40 minutes of a match that never felt like it.1 point -

I will assume that their is a considerable amount of people like myself who loved watching wrestling as a kid and then once again when Stonecold and the Rock were on top. For myself I stopped watching because it catered to little children and everything was so bland and vanilla. I think they could re-capture a lot of people who stopped watching if they could provide some kind of decent product that has at least a tiny bit of edge to it.1 point -

Why should anyone care about any wrestling? It's all in the way it's marketed. If they can get some buzz about being the hot new thing and then actually be on a channel that people can find they should get some eyeballs. If it's a good product they'll get the ever so important word of mouth advertising that REALLY gets viewers. You seem to have your mind made up already without a single event taking place.1 point -
Eric manages to outwear his welcome one way or another everywhere he has been. Likely it happened in Hamilton especially with Austin gone.1 point

One man's take: Greg Battle - best linebacker in Bomber history, inside or outside, bar none. This is a race for #2. So ,who would that be? Armstrong, Clark - good players on great teams, but not in contention. Burkholder, Doyle, Minnick, Walters - cannot judge them fairly as I did not see them play, but their reputations have not survived the years like other greats from the glory years to be considered in my mind. KD Williams - Bob Irving once said "He doesn't quite realize that he could own this town, if he plays his cards right". A supernova when he played with the gold teeth to match his bigger than life persona, but flamed out just as quickly. Not enough consistency to be in the all-time consideration over others. That leaves 4 options for me: Henoc Muamba - A bit too short a stay, maybe some sour grapes for his money grubbing behaviour when he got back from the NFL (and his downgrade in play to boot). He was destined for big things had he stayed, and his Canadian status in a traditionally American position earns him some street cred. Numbers just a shade below the others here, though. Paul Randolph - Big sack totals raise his profile, as does the fact he played on some big teams. Overshadowed by the likes of Battle, West and Payton when he played. Maybe he made them better with his pressure, maybe they aided in his big numbers. Suffers from invisibility because of his company on those teams, and also maybe his numbers are bloated by his longevity. Can't overlook that he never was nominated for an all-star or defensive POY award. That takes him out of the running for me, but an incredibly solid player nonetheless. Aaron Brown - When Ty Jones was the defensive star of the 1984 juggernaut team, Brown was the quiet leader. And he was regarded as better that year, as judged by his team nomination for defensive MOP (his second consecutive). By the slimmest of margins, maybe just because he had so much talent around him, I put him third behind..... Barrin Simpson - Back-to-back all-star seasons, runner-up for league defensive MOP in 2006, and those 2 monster tackle totals in '06 and '07 give him the inside track to line up beside Battle. He carried the defence during his time here with less support around him than others, so he gets my vote.1 point -
I can remember going to games and seemingly KD Williams was in on every single play on defense and so many tackles at the line or at a loss.... the guy was definitely a playmaker.1 point

Rest In Peace William Miller. A very good running back during the Dieter Brock & Ray Jauch era. Miller put up two one thousand yard seasons in 1980 & 82. He died of cancer at age 62. https://www.cflaa.ca/remembering-william-miller/?fbclid=IwAR0wU_qdmu3AszwZ7vEvcmDRJm5t9fkLw1AGpf2UPXUD4nAkzmCOpeIBSvw1 point -

https://www.bluebombers.com/2019/01/04/bombers-extend-contract-national-fullback-john-rush-sign-defensive-back-eric-patterson/ WINNIPEG, MB., January 4, 2019 – The Winnipeg Blue Bombers today announce the club has signed national fullback John Rush to a two-year extension, and also signed international defensive back Eric Patterson. Rush has spent the past two seasons with Winnipeg, playing in 31 games and recording seven special teams tackles. Rush was set to become a free agent next month. Patterson (5-10, 193, Ball State University, February 5, 1993 in Tampa, FL) played four seasons with the Ball State University Cardinals, playing in 41 total games and starting 28 times. In his collegiate career, he recorded 189 total tackles and had six interceptions. In his senior season, he had 23 kick returns and averaged 25.7 yards. Patterson was signed as an undrafted free agent by the New England Patriots in 2015 and has been on the Indianapolis Colts, St. Louis Rams, and Cleveland Browns’ practice squads. He returns to the Blue Bombers after signing with the club in January, 2018.1 point -
