Als have released Johnny Manziel. For what the Als gave up to get him, Kavis Reed should be fired.

I honestly will be shocked if Betts shows up. He's a legit NFL prospect, I'd think he'd have many better things to do than show up to this thing. Excited to see some of these guys though ... surprised Oliviera isn't attending, but he's probably one of the guys that has NFL aspirations instead, along with Fontana and Mayala. Gittens Jr, Lenius, Savard .. good group of receivers. Absolute bunch of trash for anything on defence aside from the DL though. That'll make it tough to get a good read on these receivers. I still say we look to take Kongbo at 4/5 if we possibly can. Not sure he falls that far but hopefully injury concerns drop his stock a bit. We can afford to risk one of those first rounders. Something like Kongbo and Simba would be a good haul for us.

Sure, if you're buying what the Liberals are selling, I think it's very telling that they plan to just add carbon tax proceeds to the general coffers. I agree on your other points though, if they were sincere about it, they could invest in credits for more charging stations for electric vehicles, stuff like that...unfortunately the very nature of our democratic system has forced every party to look at most 4 years into the future..

The play is... Add the carbon tax now but return the proceeds back via a credit. Slowly lower that credit and leave only the tax. Why not take any carbon tax revenue and invest heavily in existing and emerging "green" technology? We quickly catch up to Europe and develop technology that we can export. In a relatively short time, we replace the worse carbon polluting technology. I mean, if they were TRULY serious.

February has absolutely sucked for this team. Last night was another great example of what's wrong with the Jets lately: lousy defensive zone play, a PK on the decline, and an inability to hold a lead. These losses to inferior teams are just sickening, especially last night with Winnipeg hockey royalty in town.

The guy bombed (pardon the pun) in Montreal. This was a high risk low reward for the Als. The bad behaviour is on Manziel not living up to the "secret" conditions but the business decision to bring the guy in & sell the farm now for nothing is on Reed. he should have realized that there was a high percentage this would not work out. The Als are screwed with a lack of draft picks now for 2 more seasons. Kavis should be gone permanently today.

I always liked Marshall. He was a tough and balanced runner, he can block and catch. Nothing about him screams all-star but he was good enough to get look-sees in the NFL after we signed Andrew Harris. I recall he had a couple good games with the rump riders splitting touches.

Yeah Im guessing he's getting less bookings. Which makes sense. He's 66 years old. I did see he was willing to take wrestling bookings again which...yeesh. I dont know if he "needs" the money so much as he wants to make money. He genuinely seems to enjoy working and being on the road. The legends contract can be decent. I think it's $10,000 but then even if WWE does nothing with you, it will boost his own bookings. But being friendly with WWE can create more opportunity. Guest appearances, talking head gigs for those documentaries they do, merch sales etc. He passed up the HOF a few times...I remember one, I think WM was in Arizona where HTM lives and they wanted him and he declined because he was working tons and didnt want to answer to WWE on anything. Im sure we have some vignettes with Elias to look forward to. I always had a great time with Honky and he was nothing but professional and easy to work with. I think we had him in ten times.
