I am not going to check any of his material any more, it is without exception worthless. Either does not say what he represents, or is from a crank. Complete waste of time. It's imossible to know if this person actually believes his/her nonsense, or is just having a good time stirring up ****. No reputable person, institution, agency, scientist, business, government, in the world, doubts the science. Even the oil giants acknowledge the truth.

  5. The last Grey Cup in Calgary was my absolute favourite non-Bomber live football experience. Not because the game was great or anything but because the annoying as **** rider fans were being obnoxious all damned day and you could hear their collective hearts all shatter at once and the sound of silence after the too many men penalty was the most glorious thing ever. But yeah, those prices are a bit stupid to sit in lame ass McMahon Stadium.

  6. I'll be going to the various parties during the week, but I won't go to the game unless the Bombers are in it. If the Bombers are in the game, I'll pay pretty much whatever, but the parties (to me) are much more important. Spirit of Edmonton and TD MB Social are absolute "Can't Miss" events...

  10. I thought it was a great episode. It was called "Family" and had that theme running through all the various plots. It was a way to add some weight to the Borg story by having the Enterprise requiring repair at Space Dock rather than being reset. You had Worf's parents visit and Wesley is given a holo-recording of his late father. The story with Picard was great because he was considering leaving Starfleet and staying on Earth. I think the fact that there were unresolved issues between him and his brother was similar to Picard's unresolved feelings of powerlessness over his actions while under the Borg influence. Conversely, Picard's brother wanted his son to stay on Earth and not join Starfleet. It was a good episode. There was also Chain of Command two-parter. And....I think there was another two-partner where Picard masqueraded as a pirate or something.

  11. I agree. I could handle some "slower" episodes of Discovery with more room to breath. But the episodes that referenced past events or had an impact on everything were always the best. Which is what DS9 did the best. And what Voyager did the worst (since every episode they'd get beat up and reset everything at the end). When TNG did Best of Both Worlds and followed that up with Picard going home, it was totally out of the norm for that show and awesome!

But Trump had already stated that no payments were made, then that yes, payments were made, but he knew nothing about it. Even though Cohen (his attack dog and legal fixer for a decade) arranged them....in between making deals with the National Enquirer to catch and kill a variety of embarrassing and unflattering stories about Trump. If, at this stage.... you can take Trump`s word on this matter as gospel.....more power to you.

Customer " I'll have the $5 fatboi special" DTG " Ok sir...that also comes with two free tickets to the next AAF game" Customer " Can I get a free gravy for my fries instead of the tickets?" DTG "I'm sorry sir, that substitution is not allowed." Customer "Ok then....I was just trying to get something of actual value instead." DTG " I understand sir and don't blame you for trying" Customer " keep the tickets....it's your tip" DTG (grumbles under his breath) " Some tip I can't even give these things away."

  23. This thing that football is dying sport is completely nuts. The NFL is making more money than they have at anytime. TV contracts are growing. Each time a TV contract comes up the networks are falling over them selves to win them. Yes attendance is down but that’s more a society thing where people would rather watch it on TV.

  26. No, that's not it. Read the caption in my post. Foley and the NHL made a deal that for his team to be exempt, it wouldn't receive a cut of Seattle's $650M expansion fee. It's not a commissioner playing favourites. At all. I don't understand these lame attempts by fans to vilify Bettman. At the end of the day, he represents the BOG and its interests.

  27. 👁‍🗨 It seems to me that the Montreal Alouettes, with their new logo change and signings, the Toronto Argonauts, with their many press releases about signings, and the B.C. Lions with their press releases and season ticket push, are all making a concentrated effort to increase their fan bases. We’ll keep an eye on them and their attendance figures as the year goes on. Can only be good for the CFL in the long run.

  30. I was so excited for Enterprise but they just didnt embrace their concept. It was just another barely warmed over TNG shadow (like Voyager) rather then a real prequel. I know the producers have said they wanted to be more of a prequel but the studio wouldnt let them. Such as, the producers wanted the whole first season to be the construction of the ship and for the series to be essentially earth bound, which makes a lot more sense. Maybe the Red Angel has something to do with the Temporal Cold War so we can finally resolve that! lol

  31. I am a fan of a self contained episode that touches on the season arc- it's pretty good storytelling. You get the immediate gratification every week of a one and done plus investment in the larger story and character development. Though- bring back to life the dude through the mushroom network... that was a bit bunk.

  32. It is as bad as it looks because optics and bandwagoning is EVERYTHING to this league right now to this league. 38000 fans for 4 games is terrible attendance no matter what the reason is. Teams papering the crowd with a pair of tickets with a 5 dollar happy meal will not create positive buzz for this league. At the end of the day for this league to be successful EVERY team is going to need to average high teens or low twenties attendance because EVERY team has a 9 million dollar player payroll and huge overhead. There is not a single break even franchise in this league at this point, and most are bleeding cash.

  37. I think the original branding had many (myself included) thinking it was another US expansion plan, when he more so wants to provide opportunities for Canadian college kids to keep playing if they can't crack the CFL by making connections in Mexico and Europe, and giving kids in those countries a goal to reach for by selling the Canadian game to them, and trying to expand the pool of players we look at, like the NHL and NBA did. He is also working on TV deals with Mexico and European countries, and extra revenue streams can't hurt. I commented to my wife at the event that he talks a good game and is quite the salesman. It may fall totally flat, but I respect his idea that the league needs to do more than just stay afloat in Canada and think bigger on a global scale, and that this can entice cities like Toronto that want to be more global. Will it sour the western purists who think "Canada first"? Maybe, but Ambrosie touched on that too, and recognizes the different mindset that western CFL cities have and their hatred of the East ("it's supposed to be that way - we get it"). But Winnipeg is not going to lose hardcore fans because we entertain the thought of Mexican players coming to our combines, and it might create a new stream of fans (and revenue) for the league by broadening our base. Not a bad idea overall. Let's just see how the execution plays out.

Well whut daya know....it turns out AB. can set the price of their oil and refineries will pay it and still make billions. Alberta's OPEC-style oil cut puts a stop to easy money for American refineries https://www.cbc.ca/news/business/curtailment-refining-crack-spread-1.5039115 Albertans will still blame Notley and Trudeau for all of their woes regardless.

  39. 👁‍🗨 You have to admire Randy Ambrosie for all the effort he’s putting into his job. Never have I seen a more visible Commissioner who is putting the CFL first and foremost in the public’s eyes. You may not agree with some of his ideas, but it’s way better than in the past where the Commish would come out on Groundhog Day, then disappear again for 6 weeks.

I honestly will be shocked if Betts shows up. He's a legit NFL prospect, I'd think he'd have many better things to do than show up to this thing. Excited to see some of these guys though ... surprised Oliviera isn't attending, but he's probably one of the guys that has NFL aspirations instead, along with Fontana and Mayala. Gittens Jr, Lenius, Savard .. good group of receivers. Absolute bunch of trash for anything on defence aside from the DL though. That'll make it tough to get a good read on these receivers. I still say we look to take Kongbo at 4/5 if we possibly can. Not sure he falls that far but hopefully injury concerns drop his stock a bit. We can afford to risk one of those first rounders. Something like Kongbo and Simba would be a good haul for us.

  41. I feel like blink, flight87, and stokes are the 3 best. Stokes the biggest threat to score, but the biggest boom or bust guy too. Blink was the most consistent to get extra yards, and AJ3 was the best all-round return man. If aj3 would have had a career the length of blinks up here, he might be one of the best multi threats ever.
