yeah I looking for an expanded role for him and big things...He has the tools and the toolkit to be a ratio breaker type receiver in the fact that he almost appears to be an import talent physically and visually wrapped in a nice Canadian shell3 points

Well to be fair WWE was negligent in his death. It wasn’t malicious but they were negligent. They also promised Martha they wouldn’t show clips from his funeral on raw and they did. They are free to induct him as they can market the Owen photos and video they own. They just won’t because of the negative publicity. It might eventually come down to his kids deciding to allow it on the other hand, there is money to be made either for the family or for their charity. But again, ultimately you can’t fault Martha.3 points -
Faith Ekakitie has made me wary of college guys who couldn't earn a starting roster spot. Boateng at Fresno State is another this year. Maybe they'll prove me wrong, but I'm not raising anyone's stock just because they went to school in the US.2 points

In 177 games with the Islanders, he's got 38 goals and 33 assists (71 points). Those are pretty abysmal numbers for a player with a $5.5M AAV. At 33, he's probably not an asset to the team and worst of all, he's got four more years left on his contract.2 points -

I'm not expecting much from Thompkins. TBH I think there's a better chance of Simonise and/or Petermann taking a big step this season if given the opportunity, much like Wolitarsky did. I like the versatility in the non-imports we have too, especially Wolitarsky and Petermann, those two could line up anywhere and get it done. I don't expect Simonise to see much action inside but he has everything you want in raw talent for a boundary WR. Demski has his role as a playmaker, I wouldn't even call him a receiver necessarily. I think Nelson could be a good slot too.2 points -
I really want to see that kid do well. He made plays when he got a chance, which is more than can be said for some of the American receivers we've lined up recently.2 points

This idea of top 6 and bottom 6 is old school thinking. Your goal should be to ice the best team and lines you can. Little doesnt fit with Lowry and Tanev.. Its not working. We know copp lowry tanev is an elite shutdown line. We also know Perreault little and roslo have some chemistry as they played together a bit this year and looked good.. At least they threatened to score at times. Im fine with Hendricks playing now but... Hes so slow its crazy... He cant keep up with copp and Perreault2 points

I really appreciate the effort in trying to generate discussion during a long off season, but this is the reason that I didn't really participate that much in these polls. Most of the guys here were not even born during the days when some truly amazing players did their thing for the blue and gold so I get why they might pick Bryant over Rigney or Frank. You can't blame them for not knowing what they don't know, but for those of us that do, the suggestion that he's "better" than them or more deserving than them is truly laughable. At the same time, I've also been hesitant to speak up to much due to the fact that there are some more seasoned fans who seem to use this process to simply impress by naming every obscure Bomber player that they can regardless of the fact that most of those players would never, ever, make the list for "all time great". But if nothing else, these threads have generated a little bit of conversation through the winter, and for that, I'm grateful.2 points -
2019 has to be a breakout year for Simonise. Too much talent to not be and now he should have the experience he needs.2 points

Yeah, you can if you put everything into bonuses. For Ladd, everything but $1M in base is bonuses each year. Even if there's a lock-out, he'll make his money. A few other high profile contracts have been done this way too around the end of the CBA. Again, the owners need a lockout to save themselves.1 point -

Good revenue generator, maybe attract some tourism to the city as well, Packer fans who have no hope of setting foot in Lambeau. Logistics could be annoying mid-season, Bombers have home game August 15 then Banjo Bowl, so shouldn't be too bad.1 point -

I would find it hard to accept, as a taxpayer, the Bombers turning down an opportunity to generate additional venue revenue, unless they could prove irreparable harm to their brand or income. And, although I kidded about the Argos, it was the good people at Skydome that brought the Bills in. I can't remember the Argos jumping up and down with excitement over the move.1 point

It sure looks that way. And with Dallas being a potential first round opponent, the Jets' PK could be their demise in that series. You rarely get far in the playoffs with a lousy PK. It's just so frustrating to see this team play so well in one game and then so poorly the next. It just doesn't make sense. They mopped the floor with the Preds and then get their asses handed to them two days later... Sure, the Stars are playing desperate hockey but there's no reason why the Jets can't match that.1 point -

You obviously have never referred before...or else if you did, you were perfect. Yes, the refs in the CFL do get it wrong sometimes...at times even ***** stupid calls. But heh, NFL refs make some really bad calls and they are full time. If I'm a player, I'd feel like cussing out a ref sometimes too, but I'd expect a penalty for it.1 point
