No, she had it right. She said HALF of his supporters were a basket of deplorables. You know, racists, bigots, misogynists, liars, cheats, frauds. Look at some of the people at his rallies, in his business orbit, his personal staff, his Presidential appointees, his political cronies..... The other half are merely gullibles.

  8. The numbers speak for themselves. Our offense despite being heavily Canadian and being led by a castoff QB has been very productive. It took a nearly all american defense and Adam Bighill for Hall to look like a CFL defensive co-ordinator.

Trump's day so far: - may have admitted to tax fraud as an alternative to conceding that he is a fake billionaire, saying he was "entitled" and it was "sport" to not pay any taxes and manipulate the banks - deemed to have lost at least twice as much money than any other person in the US between 1985 and 1994 - #billiondollarloser #1 trending on Twitter - son is being subpoenaed by the Senate - hand-picked Attorney General found in contempt of Congress - it came out that his chief evangelical endorsement used his personal "fixer" lawyer to help cover up a sex scandal - had a court ruling in NY decide that his tax returns should be turned over to Congress - pardoned a soldier convicted of first degree murder and branded a war criminal - woke to the news of another school shooting in Colorado - had to account for China backpedalling in almost all of its trade deal with the US - watched the S & P index fall for the 3rd straight day, 24 hours after seeing the Dow close 473 points down - invoked Executive Privilege to block the release of an investigative report on him that he claims completely exonerates him, and may have abused his executive privilege in doing so (by using his power to shield himself from an investigation into him, creating possible obstruction), thus opening another door to a justifiable claim for impeachment Not Trump bashing, just reporting the facts. So how was your day, everybody? And not to brag, but I made $1.17 billion more than Donald Trump between 1985 and 1994 (now THAT's Trump bashing!)

  15. Frankly relieved Ray has finally decided to retire, the Argo O-line was unable to protect him well the last few years and he was never fleet of foot. He'd no sooner come back from one horrific injury only to be subjected to a gangland beating leading to his next horrific injury. It was too painful to watch. Glad he managed to pull off a G.C. win in 2017 but being close to a miracle, that should have been his last hurrah.

So...... when Trump left small investors holding the bag in New Jersey, ripped off students at Trump U, and stole money from cancer kids, using his foundation to pad his own nest...... It was all just sport? What a total fraud Trump is, figuratively and literally....

  30. remember that season Taman went out and signed both McGarity and Kamau Incompleterson. Five games in and they had hardly any catches. A lot of drops. That was hard to watch. And stomach. Was Chris Brazzell also around at that same time? We just seemed to have a knack for signing receivers who were actually more droppers than catchers.

  35. I'm re-watching the playoff game vs the Riders, and it got me thinking about certain guys I'm really looking forward to seeing because I think they'll take a "next step" this season.... -Marcus Sayles -- By the end of the season he'd become a bona fide starter. Had all kinds of potential to be elite this year. -Kyrie Wilson -- Love his size and motor. I really think he's going to flourish as a starter, especially next to Bighill. -Streveler -- With an offseason where he knew what his role was going into the next season, so he could fully train and prepare..... Could be something even more special this year.

  37. Voting closed while I correct the player lists and vote totals. We will have a do-over with Thorpe in with the wide receivers and Tuttle with the slots.
    1 point
  38. OK, so Thorpe was listed as a split end in his all star year, which became the pre-cursor to the wide receiver spot. Tuttle was listed as a wide receiver in the sites I sourced, but the CFL does not list the "slotback" spot on its all star teams, and he did line up inside in the videos I checked. So I will re-submit both lists with those changes, and have closed the voting. Once I figure out how to scrub the votes completely and start fresh, I will ask everyone to re-vote entirely so that Tuttle and Thorpe can be compared to their proper peer groups. Sorry for the mix-up, thanks for the audit. I will notify when the voting opens up again for both categories.

Always interesting to watch Taman roasted despite finding us two franchise QBs on a shoestring budget... we blast him for trading away picks but I remember the pressure to find a QB after the Reinbold era and then after Khari's injury...remember Taman had Khari locked down for three years before they stumbled out of the gate And interesting to watch Walters get a pass just because we're so relieved to not have Mack here anymore... Nichols - so far - is more Kevin Glenn than Khari Jones... Im very excited for Streveler but I also remember being excited about other backups until they became starters...

Young receiver with upside, knowing that Bobby Gordon was 33 and I only had Bruce for one more year and all I had to do was cut Troy Mills which was a simple move since Roberts had begun to shown he could handle the lead back roll and we still had Eric Blount on the roster too, I think I would have. Fact remains Taman screwed up on this one.

  47. The Canadian artillery on offense. Wolitarsky, Demski, Simonise, Petermann Harris, Oliviera That's as deep as I can ever remember for a Bomber team in Canadians who are legit playmakers. Most of my life as a Bomber fan we'd be tossing someone out there to fill a Canadian spot hoping they could catch a pass if the defense left them open. These guys can all make plays. Gives the Bombers a lot of options in terms of who slots in where, whether 3 imports start on OL etc. Excited to see what Lapo builds and how they use Streveler. See if Nichols can find consistency again.

People shouldn't count out our two OL picks from last year either... Matthew Ouellet de Carlo and Ben Koczwara. This season, De Carlo was an AUS allstar at tackle and Koczwara was a first team OUA allstar at guard. Both players should legitimately compete for spots at camp along with Neufeld, Couture, Gray, Speller and Desjarlais.
