I imagine that at some point this video has been posted. But with Lawler having a great camp ive done some research on the guy and he seems pretty legit. Kenny Lawler scored 27 touchdowns in college and it didn't hurt that Jared Goff was his quarterback no doubt. However, he's excellent at body position and coming up with those difficult contested catches. He could be a real gem and give Matty another target that can be thrown to in any one on one situation with confidence. Considering he would be in the same receiving core as Matthews and Adams he probably won't get a lot of double teams.7 points -

It annoys me so much that this is literally all Wyman is capable of doing. Who cares who is banged up for a day or two in camp? It’s the very definition of non-news that requires no effort on his part to try to make it look like he’s actually doing something.5 points -

Barring some sort of injury I’d say that Geoff Gray at this point has the job at right guard. With Foketi not there competing with him and getting reps and rave reviews from the coach it seems to be a done deal.5 points -

HDay 10 Recap Kylie Wilson - The 26-year-old Californian knows better now than to take anything for granted. “Camp’s being going good, just going to work every day, asking the right questions, staying in the book and every day taking it one day at a time and just keep grinding, keep pushing no matter what,” said Wilson after practice on Tuesday. Here’s Bombers head coach Mike O’Shea on Wilson: “You see it in practice. He gets shot out of a cannon pretty well on every play. It’s unbelievable. And then when he got to play at the end of last year he had some very physical plays, too, besides the speed plays. So, he’s going to fit in fine. The Bombers have four quarterbacks in camp in Nichols, Chris Streveler, Bryan Bennett and Sean McGuire. With Nichols and Streveler locked in at 1-2, the main drama unfolding at that spot on the depth chart will be whether McGuire can unseat Bennett. O’Shea offered this Wednesday when asked what he is looking for from the third-string pivot: “All three quarterbacks have to be able to step in and win us a game. You’re looking for a guy who on limited reps can come in and execute, because that’s the unfortunate fact – we’re just not going to give them the reps that they may need to feel that they’re going to be successful. “You need a guy with the mindset that says, ‘I can take the reps on the back end without the ball in my hand, I can take the reps in meetings, I can take the reps with the playbook, see it on film and when I get in I’m going to execute.” Manitoba Bisons product Geoff Gray continues to get work at the right guard spot with the Bombers No. 1 offence, even as the club moves pieces around and airlifts in new import OL. “He’s big, athletic… I think you could line him up at a bunch of different spots,” said O’Shea of Gray. “He doesn’t look like a typicall offensive lineman. We were talking the other day, he looks like a giant linebacker. That’s how fit he is. He’s strong, he’s fast, he’s athletic. It’s just a matter of him getting the reps. And us having a different centre, too, is interesting because that all plays into it. “He’s not going in with a vet on either side that has that comfort level. Right now with Jermarcus (Hardrick) not practising there’s a lot of communication that has to be done. He’s awesome. He’s pretty impressive.” https://www.bluebombers.com/2019/05/28/notes-camp-day-10-recap/4 points

Be aware, Harper was a fan of the "for-profit prison" concept in Canada. File under, "create a crisis offer a solution". "In late October, though, news leaked from the Sampson panel suggesting that it was preparing to scrap statutory release, the virtually automatic discharge of prisoners under conditions similar to parole after they've served two-thirds of their sentences. Instead, "you'd have to show why you deserve to be released [at the two-thirds point]," a Canadian Press story quoted an unnamed source "familiar with the panel's report" as saying. "It'll put more people in [prison], so they're going to need more resources." This has stoked the privatization fears: that the Harper government's law-and-order agenda could unleash a crisis of overcrowding in prisons, and guess what the magical solution will be? Private prisons. There is just one catch: crime experts say all this–dramatically increased prisoner numbers, possible privatization of prisons, and get-tough measures, including increased and mandatory sentences–will probably make Canadian communities less safe, not more." https://www.straight.com/article-119340/stephen-harper-opens-door-to-prison-privatization3 points -
Goff or not, he made a ton of amazing catches in that clip. Constantly high pointing the ball and catching with his hands. Great body control too.3 points

I'm usually a little skeptical about highlight films, but this is impressive. The catches he makes and the way he competes for the ball has nothing to do with the level of competition and should translate well to the CFL if he can get open. Heck, it's not out of the realm of possibility that he could be opening things up for Matthews and Adams eventually.3 points

Ten years late but just finished watching the Deadwood series, once adjusted to the extraneous dialogue and excessive profanity I found it very enjoyable. Also watching two pretty good semi-modern Western based series right now "The Son" starring Pierce Brosnan and "Yellowstone" starring Kevin Costner, the usual themes are present, land, oil, Indians, cattle and money, just add toxic family environment to the mix.3 points -

A beautiful even warm day today at our wonderful IGF for training camp with the loveLy Sarah Orlesky in attendance. I started watching, the offence was running no huddle plays against the defence. On the D #5 Jefferson was alongside #95 Thomas, #92 Nevis and #94 Jeffcoat. This combo has all kinds promise and showed it play after play after play. #5 applied all kinds of pressure and is just that impressive. Three men in stripes were out there blowing whistles to simulate game timing. The O had four qb’s. #15 Bernie and #17 the Kid’s timing wasn’t all there but by golly #18 Bennett was the most accurate tosser today and managed to scramble when he had to. #12 Sean McGuire appeared unremarkable. #3 Nelson was open by 15 yards and dropped a bomb right in his hands from Nichols. This caused a couple of fans to chuckle and yell “your cut”. #40 Santiago made a terrific snag and deceptive run during a screen play. All plays from scrimmage were passes, no runs, so couldn’t really tell what was up with the RB’s. But Harris was out there. #87 Whitehead had a remarkable 15 yard catch in heavy traffic. A couple nicks happened to #23 Gaitor (back) and a pissed off #79 Lachance (elbow)- he’s got size. Couple of other big mutthafuggas DL #99 Forde #91 Mccalister rotated along side #93 Roh and, I forgot, sorry. #6 Washington, teeny, fast and athletic ran back punts. Dressed but no pads and didn’t practice were #80 Matthews, but he was sticking his schnib into hear the huddle when practicing in the red zone. #4 Bighill also dressed, no pads and not activate but was taking pointers from Wade on the best buffets in town. #51 Hardrick, no pads but watching as well. The overall impression was a loose squad, not a lot of yelling or screaming. The addition of Jefferson to the D Line has me very excited after viewing the team today.3 points

I have not seen any scurrying and Comey and Brennan have both said that oversight of their agencies was always welcome. The very valid concern is that even though an investigation will find that procedures were followed correctly during the Trump investigation, Barr will not allow the full findings to reach Congress or the American public. It's a valid concern based on the Mueller investigation. Like he did with the Mueller investigation, he will cherry-pick and misrepresent the content of any investigation in order to protect the orange menace. You just have to watch the conduct of any Republican Senator or Congressman over the last 3 years to realize that they have zero interest in finding any actual truth.2 points -

I dont think we will either. But thats how it is. If we dont live up, even if we win the sky will be falling. It's Kyrie though, right? Poor guy really can't take anything for granted. I hope he can make the most out of his potential. Hes a great athlete and playing next to bighill will allow him a great amount of margin for error. I feel more and more comfortable with that spot each day. Though I still dream of an NFL returnee.2 points -

In those big centre's I think its time to start marketing them not like the other big major leagues. Have to price and market more like a minor league team (this is no dig at CFL). Tickets need to be cheaper between 15-50 bucks to get you in the door and concession prices need to be low. Need to have some sort of pull to bring people into the stadium other than the game. Once you get people in the building I think the game entertainment value is top notch and will bring people back again.2 points

Say what you want about Cousin Zach, he generates some serious buzz.2 points
-
Obviously. I am showing support for my cousin, whom while I know is a very good long snapper, is not going to replace the incumbent, who is the best in the league without some sort of injury. Just having a little fun and if he does end up as this team’s long snapper after Rempel retires down the line, all the better.2 points
-
We have two of the quirkiest players, and best in the league, in Rempel and Medlock. This staff knows that. I believe it’s all part of the plan in signing this young fellow and that they have talked to him about it. Know your future. Respect your past.2 points
-
bingoooo Everyone's preaching continuity being a big reason we're going to be able to compete hard this year and now all of a sudden, we're going to replace our absolute money long snapper for no reason whatsoever after he's built a serious rapport with our kicker? Nope.2 points
-
In his time here Remple has had one bad snap so no he can do this for a while long yet. But its smart of Walters to have a guy who will be on PR that can step in if there is a injury.2 points
-
when you have the best kicker/punter in the league, and he is as "quirky" as they come, you don't mess with the tools he needs to get the job done. His snapper being priority #1.....Rempel's going nowhere. But good to have a local kid learn from a vet.2 points
-
I’m not just saying this because he’s my first cousin, he’s the best long snapper in the entire world. Perhaps the universe, I can’t speak for other planets.2 points
