Also.. People are giving midseason evaluations on the QBs, Oline and receivers like these guys have been playing for months.. With this amount of shuffling and change ups coupled with the vanilla schemes... expecting instantaneous connections and rhythm is laughable. Our DBs played very well.. oline gave up 2 sacks, that's pretty good even in preseason. I'm not too worried about the receivers looking off.. they are all tight, fighting for jobs.. catching tosses from 3 different QBs. Different velocities, rotations, placement... cant really pass judgement on the ones who win the battle until the real bullets fly.. Lastly, edm had 5 sacks last week.. didnt their DC say some booolsheet like "we wont ever get less then that this year.. I promise" or some such..? Breathe folks. It's our first preseason game and we won pretty handily. Coulda pitched a shutout if the punt isnt fumbled. IF week one looks this unpolished and disjointed... ok time for concern.. until then.. we good. Everything will sort itself out in the wash.

Hecht doesn’t suck. He’s an adequate player. You wouldn’t want him to start necessarily but he won’t hurt you being out there.

The Nelson injury has a silver lining, since we would want one of him or Whitehead to be on the injury list anyway. This makes it seem a little more legit.

Anyone who thinks the #2 spot isn't locked up by Streveler needs to put the bottle down, and drink some water cause you're too drunk. The only way Streveler loses the #2 spot is if during the REGULAR season he stinks it up for 9 straight weeks. Or he has an injury and Bennett lights it up. Also, I wasn't as impressed with the DB play as others seem to be. Lots to fix up, saying that. They weren't exactly playing a Defence we will see a lot of this year. So I'm not putting too much into it. I will say if we are using a Loffler style role at Safety, I'll be VERY concerned. Hecht does not have it. He bounced off tackles rather then wrapping up and always seemed to be a step behind. Jones had a great play to break up a pass, however the ball was under thrown, and the REC got behind him easily. During the regular season that is likely 6 points. But like I said it's preseason...hell it's basically preseason for the next 3 weeks. Not worried at this point. lol at it being a make or break game for Streveler...classic preseason bs.

Anyone expecting crisp. precision play in pre-season, obviously forgot that it's pre-season. There was very little useful information about most of our players to the untrained eye.

Streveler's job as the backup is really not in question. But it was nice to see Bennett solidify his position on the team. I want to see what this offensive line can do when Gray isn't the longest serving member of the unit.

I do not. I’m much lower on Demski than most around here. He’s a good athlete but a very limited receiver.

The only way its possible is to tour non-stop and even then it's not a lucrative business. The few friends I have that are still making their living off of music are rarely home and when they are, they're working a part time job to supplement their income.

This, I don't get the knock on Strev for running. What do people want him to do? Sit back and be a sitting duck getting knocked around the way Max Hall or Drew Willy were? Ridiculous. I get that 15 passing yards are nothing to brag about, but in preseason I don't think coaches care about that. I don't care either if Nichols gets sub 200 yard games again this year, especially if the running game and defense are working.

If Hardrick can carry Schrot on his shoulders he must be very close to coming back.

My thoughts on the game. 1. 1st play of the game, Streveler to Whitehead. Streveler actually threw a great ball, Whitehead straight up stopped mid route for some reason. Streveler didnt show much otherwise. 2. Whitehead despite the mental error on play 1 still showed fairly well I thought. Speed for days, maybe the fastest player we've had in for a few years. 3. Dline will be good!!! 4.love the way Lawler attacks the ball, just needs to come down with it!! 5.love seeing the local kid score like that, what a great night for him. Nice to be back, but man preseason games can be boring. Pretty basic O and D today on both sides, wouldn't look into the success or lack there of from the OL.

I agree with you here. Accuracy can be at the very least be fine-tuned and improved over time. Arm strength is the one that you pretty much got what you got.

What do I see from the QB position? Streveler is still only #2. But what a running weapon. Not a good sign that Kilgore is looking better than our guys early. ST coverage has been very good.
