  2. What i want to see 1) Lots of Jet Packages. 2) Pistol formations. 3) more Jet Packages. 4) Long bombs down the field that are over thrown. If the Harris and CO deploy that formula we are in good shape.

  3. IT’S GAME DAY! Bye,bye bye..👋 Matt Nichols is excited I would think..- Matt Nichols is 4-2 as a starter for Winnipeg against Edmonton - 3 of his best 10 CFL games have come against Edmonton including his career high of 390 yards (Aug 17/17: 40-32-390-0-1). He has games of 390, 330, 320 & 300 yds vs Edmonton. Pressure’s on for....Fenner and Rose. Hope the Bombers have a great game plan on defence. Remarkable. Goes to show you......7 of the last 9 EDM-WPG games have not been decided until the final 3:00. Scoring First Matters. Edmonton is 11-5 when scoring first since 2017 and Winnipeg is 17-5. Chris Streveler started at QB for Winnipeg in 2018 - Matt Nichols started only the 30-3 win on Sep 29th. I hope they keep this stat going...Winnipeg has gone 5-0 when coming off a bye over the last two years as they will be this week. Andrew Harris' 148 rushing yards in Week #1 was the 3rd-highest game of his career and most ever in a season opener.… The last Edmonton QB before Mike Reilly to start vs Winnipeg? By coincidence - Matt Nichols in 2015, the projected Bombers starter in this game. (Reilly has started 13 of the last 14 matchups vs Winnipeg) The Bombers did not commit a Turnover at BC and forced 3 by the Lions (2 INTs and one on downs). Their 2-point defensive convert tied the game but for the record is not counted as a T/O since no new series of downs occurs. But it scored points! The 2-point defensive convert by Chandler Fenner was the first in the CFL since 2017 (2 that year, Courtney Stephen and Duron also on blocked 1-point converts similar to Fenner's). Trevor Harris is 2-2 career vs Winnipeg, 1-0 for Toronto vs the Bombers and 1-2 for Ottawa. Conversely, NONE of Harris' Top 14 career performance have come against the Blue Bombers. Cut the Gable! - C.J. Gable has the entire CFL in rushing in each of Week #1 and Week #2. He now has a career-best 3 straight 100-yard games. - The Esks lead the CFL in BOTH Net Offence and Net Defence averaging 508 yards for and just 221 yards against thus far. - This game features the Club with the MOST TDs on Offence (EDM with 8) vs the team allowing the LEAST (WPG with just 1 against). The last QB to throw 6 TD passes in the first games of the season before Harris? Chris Streveler last season. Last week vs BC, Edmonton scored on 4 straight possessions driving 71, 59, 75 and 75 yards for scores generating 17 first downs. - Trevor Harris has led the Esks to a 2nd down conversion rate of 64%, #1 in the CFL through Week #2. Eskimos surrendered 165 yards on 14 penalties last game. Key for Winnipeg - discipline. Let the ‘Schmoes lose yardage en Maas (sic) with undisciplined play. GO BLUE!

  5. By all accounts Kito was a stud and easily a top three pick in the regular draft. I don't blame Joe Mack for taking him- it was a smart pick at the time.

  6. TSN reports viewership is down overall... Fans report that game announcers have a lot to do with it..

  7. Just saw Medlock hit from 60 yards out. Easy. Then saw Harris under throw a receiver. Based on warmups, we got this.

Always wonder why people post asking where is the Game Day Thread and don't just make it. Effort is about the same. Anyone is more then welcome to kick it off.

  10. And I saw independent scouting reports saying poblah hands down would have been a 1st overall pick. Just because he didn't work out (as many picks don't) doesn't mean the bombers were out of line spending a first round pick. Fact isn't they didn't spend a first someone else would have.

  14. Here are each team's 20 years or longer (except Edmonton) Grey Cup droughts: BC - 21 years (1964-85) Edm -19 years (1956-75) Cal - 23 years (1948-71), 21 years (1971-92) Sask - 44 years* (team founded in 1910, could not play for the Grey Cup until 1921, barred from playing in 1940 due to different Western rules, so 1921-39, 41-66), 23 years (1966-89) Wpg - 29 years (1990-present), 22 years (1962-84) Hamilton - 20 years (1999-present) Toronto - 31 years (1952-83) Ottawa - 27 years* (40 years from 1976-2016, but no team from 1997-2001 and 2006-13) Montreal - 21 years (1949-70), 16 years* (25 years from 1977-2002, but no team from 1987-95)

  15. Harris will rush for 130+ yards with 1 TD. Adams will have over 100 yards receiving and 1 TD. Demski will have 1 TD Big boy streveler will have a breakout package off a 2nd and short or 3rd and short and set us up in the Red Zone. The defense will have 3 sacks, and 2 interceptions. Do-or-die will be pretty wasted on Gin. And the boys in blue will add 2 points to the standings and send a message to those shitbags in SSK.

  16. With Lapo we don't ever need to worry about the team not testing the perimeters of a defense. If Edmonton wants to try just going balls out after the qb again like they were able to against BC it won't end well for them. I don't think their linebackers are good enough to handle the Lapo short passing offense.

  17. You think after all the progress that has been made we're going to dump O'Shea? And for Lapo of all people? Get your head out of your ass.

  18. Predicting Jefferson will play a huge role in stompin' the Esks tonight. And Matthews. And when the smoke clears everyone in the CFL will see Bombers are the top team in the league.

  19. Everyone is hanging off Edmonton's nuts after last week, I hope the Bombers just stomp them from start to finish tonight. Make a statement.

  21. I miss seeing Walby hold the microphone and looking at what football did to his fingers over the years and how that gives him legitimacy when he talks about what goes on in the trenches. Plus he's super funny.

  22. Hate to nitpick but did you ever watch Waggoner play in college? Because people who did (Buono) wanted him even before he was Canadian. So many people forget this guy was on a negotiation list with the Lions before he ever was confirmed as a non import.

  23. And showing the same f****ing commercials over and over and over and over and over

  24. Especially considering the state of the teams NIs at the time. and I don't get the angst over Waggoner either. Guy was a contributer on special teams at least and retired at a point when he might have gotten more responsibility. Some people just always have a bone to pick. It's the draft, it's hit or miss.

I'd love to see the Habs offer sheet Marner. Would make the TSN FA Show worth watching.

  26. People are evaluating these things with a whole heaping pile of hindsight. Wagoner and Poblah were going to come to the CFL when people thought they were Americans never mind their draft status.

  27. Didn’t we lead the CFL in big plays last year? Lapo isn’t perfect but he’s a damn good coordinator.

  28. Too bad for the guy....Was a big fan and wish him well in his recovery ...If it is an acl.....and with his injury history...doesn't sound good

  29. Like always Bombers do two things and they win. 1. Win the turnover battle 2. Limit penalties Pretty simple formula for the Bombers over the past four years

  30. FINALLY! I have high hopes for this game. We should have a good crowd with lots of energy. As always, the game will be won in the trenches but even more so tonight. I expect our "lines" to outshine theirs. Willie is going to have a game!

  31. And with that ... A little reminder that this is the Black/Suitor muter https://globalnews.ca/radio/cjob/ And keys to the game: 1. Get a beat on the Edmonton pressure look and if they seem more apt to bring extra rushers, use the screen, swing pass or draw. If they're more backed away from the line, bait em up with a lot of play action to fire down field for Adams or Matthews. 2. Move Hecht around a bit to try and confuse Harris a bit and make him try a few throws he's not comfortable with. 3. Special teams must come through big

  32. Reilly was never coming here and pretty sure Toronto did bid a first on poblah too. You say fake news, I say reasons.

  33. Honestly, a third rounder is worth it. Don't fault them too much for that decision. But also **** the riders

    CFL Week 2 Takeaways

The knowledge and insight that Walby brings to the table would be priceless. Combine Walby with Dunigan and you would have an outstanding production. TSN would benefit immensely in viewership. Everybody wins. Dare to dream.
