  2. So here's the thing......I don't have light-hearted, "fun" rivalries with other teams fans. I legitimately despise Riders "fans". There will be a couple of Gappers there who think it's funny that we're doing a Royal Blue/Gold wedding with a ton of Manitoba focus to everything....but the second they try to talk to me about football, I'm out. I'm just not having it and that's just how I'm wired. I truly believe 99% of Riders "fans" are assholes who know NOTHING about football, and I'm not going to have some "fun rivalry" thing with them.....I just can't do it.

  3. Bob Irving (@BobIrvingCJOB) Tweeted: I think the CFL should fine players for dangerous, cheap hits. But Wpg’s Jermarkus Hardrick got fined for giving a guy an extra, aggressive shove in the Ottawa game. Hardly a fineable offence in my eyes. The 15-yard penalty Hardrick got was punishment enough.

  5. So I’m traveling through Saskatchewan doing some mini donut events this summer, and I turn on the radio and within 30 seconds—I kid you not—I hear and I quote “ye and years later my mother told me that the woman I was in a relationship with was my cousin” on 94.1 fm @Ripper Saskatoon I guess the stereotype is true

  9. It would be really sweet if he could hit Demski over the middle for like an 82 yard touchdown. And I mean would it be too much for him to hit Matthews and Lucky deep? Come on, we brought these guys in to stretch the defense, do it already!

👁‍🗨S p r e a d I n g the ball around. This is how I like an offence. Use all your receivers along with the strong running game. So far, veteran wide receiver Darvin Adams has been targeted 13 times and has eight catches. Meanwhile, newcomer Lucky Whitehead has been targeted 13 times for nine, Nic Demski 14 for nine, Drew Wolitarsky 12 for 9 and the combination of Chris Matthews, Kenny Lawler and Charles Nelson 11 for eight. The team leader in both categories is actually running back Andrew Harris, who has been targeted 15 times for 13 catches. - Ted Wyman

  15. Young and his mother settled into the working-class area of Fort Rouge, Winnipeg, where the shy, dry-humoured youth enrolled at Earl Grey Junior High School. It was there that he formed his first band, the Jades, and met Ken Koblun. While attending Kelvin High School in Winnipeg, he played in several instrumental rock bands, eventually dropping out of school in favour of a musical career.[31] Young's first stable band was the Squires, with Ken Koblun, Jeff Wuckert and Bill Edmondson on drums, who had a local hit called "The Sultan". The band played in Fort William (now part of the city of Thunder Bay, Ontario), where they recorded a series of demos produced by a local producer, Ray Dee, who Young called "the original Briggs".[32] While playing at The Flamingo, Young met Stephen Stills, whose band the Company were playing the same venue, and they became friends.[33] The Squires played in several dance halls and clubs in Winnipeg and Ontario.[34]

Plus, unless it was done off camera, Darvin Adams didn't pull a Duron Carter but acted like a pro after his spectacular TD was called back. Those are the little things i look for.

  28. Where is this fool writer getting those numbers from anyway? Last I checked it was Nichols at 80℅ completion and Streveler at 75℅. I mean doesn't matter which QB you like, the game's stats log says it plain and clear.

  36. I'm singling out this post, but really, everyone who responded to my OP on this topic....................none of your answers make any sense. Why the **** would Osh care about the Glenn thing? He was on the other team. He doesn't give a **** that the Bombers ended up losing the 07 GC. Andrew Harris?? I promise you he doesn't care about that. This team has repeatedly said that current rosters/regimes are not responsible for past failings and having nothing to do with them. TLDR: Anything that happened in 2007 has absolutely zero meaning to anyone on this team...........except maybe Brad Fotty. That was a good answer.

  37. Nevis and Richardson are the starting point. They are just a pair of tanks in there, with constant inside push on the pass rush, and immovable objects in the run game. Put Bighill right behind them, and you have a triangle of death against the run.

Hence why I said “situational awareness”. I imagine he knew what the play call was and was aware as to where they were on the field. I’m curious, if that was the game winning touchdown and we would have lost with it being called back, would you still find the thought that he should’ve been aware of the situation so incredulous? I’m guessing we’d all be a little less forgiving. To be very clear, I’m happy we have o-linemen who like to play on the edge; that was just the wrong time to do it and luckily it didn’t cost us. I feel like this is a very reasonable opinion. Not everyone on this site is fishing for an argument.

  44. The season ends with a home-and-away series with the Stampeders followed by a Week 21 bye. If Winnipeg gets first place, the final game of the regular season will be October 25 and the West Final will be their next game, 23 days later on November 17... potentially also against the Stampeders.
