Look, I know people are disappointed that we are 0-4. Yes, its frustrating that Nichols has thrown 10 picks and only 1 TD. But its just too early to panic. We need to keep our objectivity and composure, at this stressful time. This thread needs more gin.

Some Interesting stats. Of the 5 league leaders in ST tackles, 3 are bombers. Medlock has the 2nd most kick off and punt yards. Fenner is our only player in the top 10 for tackles. And he is in a 5 way tie for 5th. Our DL has 6 sacks, charleston hughes has 5 and leonard has 4. In 4 games streveler has 5 tds, and lucky has 3. Harris has 2 tds through the air this year, and none on the ground yet. Nichols is averaging 1 td for every 9.8 pass attempts. Mike reilly is averaging a td for every 33.6 pass attempts (and is tied for 4th in the league in td passes) Our D is extremely balanced, with pressure and tackles coming from all over the field. Our sts has been scary good in every facet this year. And our offense is extremely explosive. With virtually every one scoring, and yet still not healthy or firing on all cylinders.

OK, so the Ticats have the bye this week in the CFL. Now, can we finally have the suspension meted out to Simoni Lawrence for that illegal hit way back on June 13th? It would coincide nicely with the Bombers visiting Hamilton on the 26th 😁

Catering to the TV crowd is important. However, it hurts the quality of the game for TV as well if you dont have enough butts in the stands. I think the happy medium would be having a prestige match up on thursday, a game of the week (monday night football up north) pushing the western start times earlier, and as some one stated running sunday football untill the NFL starts up.

Thing is...we have beaten 2 undefeated teams...sign of a good team Whipped the hopeless Argo's and it was never in doubt from the 3 minute mark...sign of good team won season opener on the road...sign of good team All the while racking up 30+ points for...1 pick and some very precision like work in the Red Zone...Like what...over 90% efficiency?? That tells me we have more than a capable QB to get us where we need to go...you have to remember basically prior to this year we were a one trick pony at receiver and had to rely on Harris....now...we have weapons that teams have to respect...and still have Harris to contend with...also Nichols looks a lot like 2016/2017 Nichols...where he was not hurt and pulled a lot of games out of the fire for us for a win...and it's pretty obvious from his play last year that he wasn't right all year long.. but this year he appears to be back and has more talent to use....so if he plays smart ball...doesn't try to be a hero and fatten his stats...we will win 9 times out of ten and to have people be down on him after averaging 4 offensive TD's a game so far..throwing 10 TD's to 1 INT....and not really having a game in doubt after the first quarter of the season...well thats just baseless we play Ott/Ham/T.O coming up next 3 game before our Calgary home game and if we play like we have been even with no overall improvement (which we will as season rolls on) we could be looking at a 7-0 record with that home match against CGY....Hamilton doesn't scare me and I think we will handle them rather easily

That I dont understand. If they think they have that Canadian depth, why not play more American on their OL? One it's cheaper, and two it will probably better than what they have right now.

Well stats fascinate me, so here we go: Last time above .500: Technically, the last time they were above .500 was when they opened 2016 with a 1-0 record... Before that though...you have to go back to 2014, when they managed to get to 9-8 in week 19. They would finish 9-9 (.500) on the year. Last winning streak: Weeks 18-20 of the 2016 season. The games were pretty much meaningless though, as before the streak they were 4-11. For the last meaningful winning streak, you have to go back to 2014 when they strung together 6 wins to dig themselves out hole of 3-8 back up to a more respectable 9-8. Last season above .500: 2012. This was also Calvillo's last full year as starting QB, he would play in 2013, but would not finish the season with them.

Four things the league should change coming into 2019: 1) The Thursday night games are a dud in the stadiums. They may have provided a small bump in TV ratings, but Thursday nights don’t work anywhere when it comes to ticket sales and even worse, it makes things difficult for football ops with so many quick four or five day turnarounds between games. 2) Begin the season with divisional rivals. Seeing Saskatchewan in Hamilton or Montreal in Edmonton does nothing to get fans excited to come to the stadium. Always begin and end the season with rival games. Give the fans the best games to begin the season. 3) End the 8pm starts in the West. It’s difficult to bring families to the game when the final gun goes at 11pm at the earliest and it’s two-hours later in the eastern time zone so no one is watching. 4) Finally, play Sunday games until the NFL starts on Labour Day. So far, Trump has lived a consequence free life and Presidency (puke) , in spite of all of his well known and admitted nasty works. At this point, I think that will continue, since for reasons unknown to me, nobody in a postition to do something, seems to want to. I seriously wonder how far Putin's file of dirt reaches. The death of local sports in the paper & television has a lot to do with dwindling attendance as well. Before, games would be set up by some talented beat writers, columnists & tv reporters in all CFL cities. They hyped players & rivalries. You knew a home game back in the day was a big deal. Well, most of these guys are now gone having retired or laid off. Now, all games are on television. CFL home games barely get any attention on local tv sports anymore as sportscasts are 7 minutes long. Today, local sports mean nothing to Bell & Rogers. Neither do the CFL teams.

U can blame lapo.. Go 4 it. But hes not the guy throwing the ball. You dont have to like it or even accept it.. But bad throws is on the QB.

I like Thursday games too. I'd like to see a Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday game till the NFL starts. Better than double headers IMO. I'd like to see a more balanced schedule. I don't like this 5 in a row against eastern teams that we have this year. Biggest problem this year seems to be is the discrepancy between the good and the bad teams which equals too many one sided games.
